I made a habit a while ago to call myself out honestly as much as I am able and keep my nafs in check to the best of my ability. This requires alot of Taqwa, in the sense that Allah has to be on your mind very frequently. You literally you have to be thinking of Allah as much as possible. It really helps if you assume you are already standing in front of Allah while you live your day to day life. Check yourself before Allah checks you is my life slogan. ♥️

Assalamulaikum. You and others hand down such valuable knowledge. Those who only know English however cannot receive the full benefit because much of their understanding is compromised when a word like shirk or dunya is used without explanation.
Gary Valentine Waalaikum salam. Good thing though, if you listen carefully Sheikh Hamzah always explain them, especially when he gives examples, stories and analogies. These words always being said in short phrases and it’s in Arabic language and they are phrases(sources)mainly quotes from the Quran(Barakah)and the saying of the Prophet(the teaching/the way)and the scholars(interpretations) in generals.
All Muslims scholars giving their speeches or lectures are influenced by the Arabic language and the language ties the ummah like knots.
Those 2 words you mentioned above are quite common to the Muslims laymen. The influence is not by accident. No other languages like Arabic language, because Allah have chosen it precisely to unite this nation(ummah).
You have to get use to his lectures because evidently this scholar has so many teachers he learnt from and sometimes he speaks so ‘very deep’ and one needs to revisit his lectures. One sitting is never enough to understand the whole lecture. May Allah make it easy for you and me.
May people get opportunity to hear this. Amen

Evade Xaotic u can choose corner area. Pillar side.
Giving up act (which is recommended in Islam like Jummah,Hajj etc) in fear of Riya, is also Riya. That's why we have to very careful and ask protection from it from Allah(swt). Sheikh shared the Dua for the protection of shirk.

Shaytan tricks us like this. If we feel like people think we are showing off in our salah what should we do? Should we make it quicker? No, make it even longer, don't care whether people think you are showing off
Riah is in your heart, if you think praying jamah is riah then think about reword of praying jamah and do for that reword of Allah , hope you can pray jamah for the reword of Allah

Can you give me the source about khadija (ra) knowing Muhammad (saw) would be prophet before marrying him and the cousin of waraqa knowing that the Prophet's (saw) father was of the lineage of the prophets?
I don't think Khadija ra knew ahead of time that Muhammad Pbuh would become a prophet but she was impressed by his trustworthy and good characters.

You could try and leave a comment in one of his videos from his official channel: Zaytuna College. Hamza Yusuf can't make your daughter enter heaven. But he can help make dua for your daughter that may she be amongst those far from the hellfire and granted paradise, by Allah's Will. I'm a psychologist student and I can't help but feel a bit offended in regards of my studies. I'm sure Hamza didn't meant for that but it's still sad to hear.. kinda sounds like it's bad to study psychology to help better peoples well being. Ofcourse it can be combined with Islam. That's the goal insha Allah.
It's the truth. I did the master's and I realized how blindly we want to believe something is so at fault. When I go to Islam I saw so much of flaws that I leave it and approach Islam to everything. Anyway, psychology exists to fight religion.
