    1) Tip
Stay in the moment! Avoid thinking too far in the match. Think about next point not about the result at the end. If you manage to think about the next point and having fun with that - the score in the end will be the best!
    2) Tip
Force a smile, Really! If you can’t break out of the cycle of negative thoughts, smile! Only for a few seconds, this reaction will change your attitude in a split second. Perhaps that is all you need to relax back in your performance. Take a look at Kenta Momota, he does this ALL the time!
    3) Tip
Race like you don’t care about the outcome! If you find yourself caught up in a negative cycle, you can perform at your peak! It’s impossible! If you then begin to play like you don’t care about the outcome, you will begin to relax and enjoy the event for what it actually is - just another day in your life! The game will take care of itself..
    4) Tip
Find your habits on the court! Some people tend to forget how to play matches when they start. They rush around in every moment. If they get a point, they will be serving after 2 seconds. That will cause you to stress. Sofie and I are always brushing our shoes beneath, stepping and then we perform the service. No matter where you play badminton in the world, you can always do YOUR habit. Etc Russell Crowe in the movie Gladiator is always feeling / touching the ground before battling.
    5) Tip
Acknowledge that your opponent tries to win aswell! In that process your opponent will make some good strokes and put you under pressure - Squeeze a few mistakes out of you.
Don’t get frustrated - that doesn’t help you.
Instead acknowledging the play from your opponent, let him know ‘’Good stroke’’ - and possibly smile. Then get ready for the next point!
Remember that nervousness can be dealt with! Before, under and after the event. Stay in the process!! Just remember to play as you are enjoying the game.
A special thanks to Morten Thomsen in the video.

    Wow! Another great video :)
Something that helps me if I become nervous during a game is bringing my attention to my breathing. Breathing Consciously. I become more relaxed and aware.

Before you play picture yourself executing every shot perfectly. This physiologically removes nervousness and helps you play at your peak.

I wish I had these tips when I started my first competitions! I've found that over time I've gotten less nervous as competitions become "more routine." Although I'm still always a little nervous and just need to work with the feeling instead of fighting it.

Yeah, I feel like one of my biggest downfalls is feeling self conscious playing at my club and being worried about potentially screwing up whilst people are watching me, even though i know that the best people there are prone to make mistakes as well. No one is perfect. Because of this I'm generally tense with my shots which in turn makes my smashes and strokes weaker as I'm not relaxed enough just until I hit the shuttle. It's funny (albeit annoying) that I intellectually know if I'm more relaxed and don't care about what others think I'd literally play much better, but sometimes my body and subconscious thoughts prevent me from performing at my peak. I'm much better with it these days now though and care less of other people watching. I've learned to just not think about it as much and take deep relaxing breaths when I can :)

And play super bad!!!!! And then get targeted alot
    .
    .
My nervous is more about my OWN teammate then anything else !
They yell at me or tell me in a rude matter it was a wrong shot , gets very angry! Which gets me down and nervous!!
