Me off court: I need a positive thinking! I have to concentrate on every point! Let's go!
Me on court: *Loses a point.* Damn, I shouldn't play a drop shot, the opponent was near the net! I'm so bad! *Loses the next two points because of procrastination.*

This is absolutely brilliant as this topic goes beyond badminton. With the right attitude and dedication, success is possible in every area in life. To quote Earl Nightingale “we become what we think about. Positive thinking yields wonderful results. Negative thinking breeds frustration and unhappiness.”
Michelangelo reminded us “the great danger for most of us is not setting our goals too high and falling short, but setting them too low and achieving them.”
    Thank you!

Thank you for this video. I love badminton but also struggle with mental health a lot which is why I get frustrated often. For example, if I didn't sleep well, eat well or just have a day when I feel off, I instantly feel it during a match. Not getting enough sleep, for example, makes such a difference in reaction speed! Could you make more videos about the mental part in badminton? I get soo tense sometimes and have a hard time relaxing, especially if I don't feel my best but I know I could be better if I relaxed. It totally feels like self-sabotage D:

Knowing full well I'll sound like mood-hoover now, but having a broader look at the literature, gives a less confident image of self-help books like this one. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the two of you, and this positive thinking just sounds a little marketingy, on not so sciency.
