Just want to say thanks for posting! I grabbed the parts as listed, watched this a couple times, and got this done in a couple hours on my '14 Sportsman 570. Works like a charm.
That would be super nice. I live in the country so we kinda get away with riding on the roads. I can't wait for the spring. I keep watching your vids and others to fill the void.
It is a great machine have a lot of fun with it. I'm trying to get my town to pass a law, so we can ride them on the street. I hoping to get it passed but the battle is on.
Double check your high and low wires. Just make sure you didn’t cross something, next would be the relay itself. Just make sure the relay is hooked up correctly.
save yourself 100 percent of your time and just switch the light switch between high and low beam. all 3 light up then. I do it and have no problems. takes little getting use to but it's like a third spot now. no problem doing it moving on trail. anyways folks...just wanted to put my 2 cents in. Happy wheeling
Dual Sport Guy would they not be protected from factory? don't make sense to sell a bike with a electrical system that isn't protected. just asking...I'm no electrical technologist lol. I've had lights underwater in mud and snow and never had a problem. bike is a '16 touring 570 with almost 10,000 on it now. no charging issues or anything and never even poped a fuse. I would think as long as your not drawing more amps than the switch can handle then your A ok
nie wissen Your right, but I don't know how Polaris engineered their system. So to be safe, and make it easier for me to operate I went this way. If it's working for you, by all means run it that way.
@@DualSportGuy Both your high and low beams are already protected via their own individual fuses, so the way Nie stated above will work with no issues. The way you've done it, you've just added ways for the mod to fail, relay, those quick connectors are garbage and also the separate fuse.. both ways will work. One way has more components than needed the other uses what's already there.
hubby hooked everything up as to the diagram and when he hooks up the ground the headlights stay on with key off. He gets low and high but constant low with no key. Any ideas what he should look for? Help! Thanks
Here are the autozone part # N005W is a relay part. 85468 this is for the splice connectors and just some 14 gauge wire and terminal eyes to hook to you rail on the wheeler. Hope this helps.
George VictorLast For your info it's not rigging plus I run this by my electrical engineer at work first. If you know ohms law you can figure out how much you can put on a circuit, with out over loading. Click bait no, and Polaris is doing this started with the 2015 model. Maybe you shouldn't be a hater, and learn more before trying to call someone out.
Then why doesn't Polaris do it that way. AND yes I disliked your video. So did someone else. For your information I'm not a hater. We will not be doing this our quads. This is my opinion and it's not gonna change. Sorry.
George VictorLast Looks like your the only one that didn't like it. Maybe you should start making your own videos. And like I said Polaris is doing this, maybe because people like me and some others figured it out for them. Wiring is how I make my living I spent the the money to educate myself to do this. So Iike I said before I don't rig things.
My wife has a brand new 2017 Polaris and all three lights do not come on so Polaris isn't doing it. I'm not making videos or altering my wiring harness. I'm glad your making money at this. Have a good day.
George VictorLast Iike I’ve said if you know what and how to do this it’s safe that why you use fuses and relays and I never said you have to do this but a lot of us have with no problems
Thanks for adding this video. Helped a lot with our 2019 450 Heading to North Carolina mountains this coming weekend can’t wait to try it out

Thanks for the detailed description! Made things soooo much easier.
My 2017 Hunters Edition came like this from the dealer!!! Didn't realize they came where they didn't all work when on high.
CountrySide Property Maintenence from what I hear is Polaris started building them that way now.
I’m gonna have to watch this a couple times to get it rite but I need this in my life
Awesome presentation thank you very much
Dual Sport Guy That accessory block has constant power to it. I metered it out. I have the 2018 Sportsman.
Ernest Loyer ya one side is power and the other side is ground, open block in the middle
Ive seen the option with using a diode. What is better, the relay or diode?
Is that a battery tender plug inside your storage compartment? If so is it directly hooked to your battery or can you charge through the bus bar?
No that’s my winch connector. My battery tender is hook right to my battery, and ran to the left side panel. So then I can run my tow behind sprayer.
Nice. Well done. Going to do this first weekend I get new machine home!
It is a great machine have a lot of fun with it. I'm trying to get my town to pass a law, so we can ride them on the street. I hoping to get it passed but the battle is on.
Hi I got the same bike and I was wondering where I can buy all the stuff for the 3 headlight moe......and thank you for your videos very helpful
Any part store should have want you need and it is easy to do
I did everything exactly the way you described but all my lights go on when switched to high or low beam, any idea why?
Double check your high and low wires. Just make sure you didn’t cross something, next would be the relay itself. Just make sure the relay is hooked up correctly.
Does it call for a normally open relay or a normally closed?
@@Shock1988 that I don’t know
Did you run a full wiring harness with separate relay for your light bar? Thanks in advance
jack lynch yes the light mod is separate with it own relay also.and the light bar has it own to.
I just bought a 2016 and was wondering how i could do that, thanks!
save yourself 100 percent of your time and just switch the light switch between high and low beam. all 3 light up then. nie wissen But then your circuit isn't protected that is way you add the relay and fuse.

Hunting Elk Only thing that it could be is he got a hold of a constant power to the switch
Dual Sport Guy He did, he fixed it and it works now
Hunting Elk Good deal, what was wrong.
nice clean job
thinking of doing that on our atvs thanks i just may hit ya up for some knowhow soon
shaun schollaert anytime I'm here to help. To really is cheap and easy plus it's nice having the extra light down range.
Did this on my 14 570, but low beams stay on when switch is off, can I get some guidance please?
Zach Kramer You must have tapped into a constant power wire somewhere would be my guess
Works Great on my 16'
My '12 850 xp already does this. I bought it used, but the harness appears to be unmolested.
I think Polaris started changing them after mine was built
hey oct 9th 2017 are all 3 headlight bulbs the same? haven't started Mod yet thinking LED BULBS ALSO.???? 886? R ANGLE?
jammin jammin All three are the same.
Can you post a tutorial on how to to it? I wanna do it on my 2017 Polaris Sportsman 570
David 216894 if you look down towards the bottom post I give a parts list to do this mod. And just follow the video.
Relay is the better way. I first used the diode and they generate a lot of heat.
Hey I got water in mine know my whole light system and break lights dont work
litgaming 45 Did you check all your fuses. You can also check for a bad ground or corrosion in a connection.
@@DualSportGuy yeah man mY fuses all work my father said it might be a relay but we cant find anything
Do you think maybe you could sometime post a video on this problem for me and my father
Also thanks for the help and advice
What parts exactly I need to buy?
Here are the autozone part # N005W is a relay part. 85468 this is for the splice connectors and just some 14 gauge wire and terminal eyes to hook to you rail on the wheeler. Hope this helps.
I am hoping it will work on my 2012 sportsman touring
thomast171 It should just make sure to add a fuse to the ready power wire.
What happens when you water
an 0 14???
Matt d yes it's a 2014
ANY POLARIS XP SP NEW 550 850 100 570 SP have this highbeam modification as stock highbeam operation yes! they build them this way now!
i have a 2017 570 sportsman i bought in july, and this isnt how it is
I have the 2018 Sportsman and it IS NOT modified this way either. It is still separate.
N-Rigging and over powering a circuit. If this was right the Polaris factory would do it. Another click bait on youtube.
