Surprisingly, this exact plane currently sits abandoned at Tijuana International Airport in Mexico. I actually photographed the plane when I went to Tijuana. It was so sad to see the plane decaying, especially after all it went through back in 1985.
Hope it gets restored to its former glory
I know right. I think it could fly well as a government or VIP transport.

I think a fedex plane that got hijack by its own pilots has a similar fate to this aircraft they should make an air incident museum
The 747SP is 14m/46ft shorter than the 747-200 yet it has the same wingspan and a larger tail, probably helped it stay stable during the dive.

Jet lag is out of a human being's control.
The human body needs more than one night to adjust to a different timezone, and Captain Ho and his crew had crossed over six different timezones forwards and backwards over the past six days in the lead-up to their incident flight.

Yes he landed the damaged aircraft but he put the aircraft in that situation and that’s unacceptable for someone with 12.000 hours on a 747. Due to lost situational awareness he did not relied on the instrumentation while being inside clouds because he was paying attention to a failed engine. he pulled 5.2 Gs in an aircraft never designed to cope with such loads. The whole airframe was bend, hydraulics ripped off, horizontal stabilizer almost ripped off, landing gear broken and many more. In other word God just didn’t want them so soon because such maneuvers will certainly destroy the whole structure mid-air.

The plane used in this animation is a 747-300 with 20 windows on the upper deck (like a 747-200) when it's supposed to be a 747SP
And at 1:20, no 3D buildings modelled (like Aeromexico 498's animation)

turns out air crash investigation used the wrong variant of the 747. the actual variant of this plane was a 747-SP, which is shorter than the 747-200
Well there goes 24 seasons without Taca 390 getting documented
And it probably won't ever be. Generic overrun accident, and the final report isn't even public.

I remember seeing this case on Mayday Air Catastrophes, these people were just minutes away from dying, the plane was about to hit the sea, God free us from a situation I did, It shouldn't be easy to be in a situation like this. One question. Is the 747 no longer manufactured? Why do I know that the A380 is not manufactured, I only see that the United States uses the 747 for cargo, but other airlines from other countries still have the active 747, but we have to be realistic, there are already new planes, we are living in new times. Over time more and more new planes will come.

I think the plane in the animation is reused from the China Airlines 611 episode, in the tailstrike animation of the episode.
Actually, it’s the other way around, they made the China 006 episode in season 4, while the China 611 episode is in season 7

The plane in the Animation was a B743 (B747-300) but IRL was a B74S (B747SP)
The top deck is a 747 400 deck which has not a lot of windows
