How can people fight for THAT? To impose to others their deep shabbiness and their total lack of decent life?

It’s a mining city not a normal city, there are a lot of bad cities in Ukraine too.

@@AusValueyes, normale cities are more worse.

But Ukraine is not trying to pass for a world power with a mission like the Russian empire or "Saint-Russia". It just doesn't want to be invaded by a genocidary neighbor. Very little mining in Ukraine indeed. The footage is not at all about Russia vs Ukraine. It's about the shabbiness of the former.
As a rock mechanics engineer, I have been staying in several mining towns around the world. Most of them are OK. Even in not really rich countries: Chile, Brasil, Mexico, South-Africa, Turkey, Kazakhstan... Big teams of masons, carpenters, gardeners are paid to keep the dwellings liveable. A happy miner doesn't drink, is better at his job and don't want to leave.
Even on immense empty surfaces, the
Russians impose their hideous concrete cubes where families are cramped. @@AusValue

@@AusValue The difference between a ruzzian city and a Ukrainian city is the fact there's a lot of ruzzians in the ruzzian city.
I'd rather go to hell instead of these towns.

Norilsk is undergoing major redevelopments, some progress can be seen in video slides. Russia is in the middle of a conflict and the most sanctioned country in the world yet it can still improve the quality of life for it's citizens. But what is the excuse for the west and their Ukrainian lapdogs?

I’d say a lot of people there know it’s bad, but they stay because mining salaries are pretty high in Russia

Ever lived in a slum? In those it doesn't matter how cozy the climate is, it's worse, much worse.

As in Norilsk, as in Moscow. People are utterly fed up with both the war and the authoritarian neonazi regime in the Kremlin.

Norilsk was built in the dead center of the Uralic homeland. It should adopt a culturally Uralic character

Not really, it shows how vindictive the poster is. They left out much context like the fact that Norilsk is undergoing major redevelopment while being the most sanctioned country in the world and in the middle of war. If context was included, it would diminish western propaganda, but Russia hate is profitable hence why no context was included.
