Take a shot everytime this guy says “One of the most”
also every time he uses "that of the" incorrectly or uses the wrong word class
@@krishacz he also likes to say ''This particular...'' a lot
Watch out y’all. Grammar police are here
"this guy"?
Ok dont go to my grave
This figure looks absolutely deadly compared to the SS figure.
Ikr?! Like it could mince it up and recycle it lol
@@PrimeVsPrime You guys both do realize you are comparing apples to oranges right? It's a great look into what collector toys can be when you negate licensing, price, R&D, safety guidelines, mass production, durability(remember kids are buying Hasbro products as well) out of the equation.
Once again, the vehicle mode was incredible but the actual robot mode was pretty eh. In this case, I definitely prefer the studio series, along with mixmaster, longhaul, scrapper, and rampage. The only thing I prefer from these figures is the devastator mode. All of the robot modes are pretty crap.
@@maulok8441 Yep, guess it makes sense since they kinda have to just try modeling it as close to the film.
@@maulok8441 Not crap, just not accurate
While he looks great, i really wish someone would do one with the spider/scorpion legs seen in the concept art
tyler vp I would as well, but I feel like it would be impossible to have it have the scorpion legs and still have it combine and turn into a truck. Maybe one of those, but probably not both.
@@makutateridax584 best way to do it (probably) is to have them be optional attachments
Sir u are asking for so much
It's gonna be quite hard to do that because overload will need a sturdy legs to hold devastators legs
@@razorshark6790 no, its really not
Man great video! Side note, you are really good at narrating. U never seem to stumble over ur words and these are always so polished. Great work!
Ah thanks so much :)
@@PrimeVsPrime i say that break to easy and i hope devil saviour gets shut down cause every transformer sit is discounted them cause of there issue with breaking the sites any making any money from them
I never thought I'd say this because I'm not a fan of how over-complex the Devil Savior transformations are but, I want to get my hands on this thing. It's actually one of like 4 3P figures I really want
Im at the edge about getting this
Better get it soon, seen offers on ebay reaching into the 300 range.
Its looks like a good figure only downside is price which is 124
Dont , the quality is shit .... they sent me from missing piece on ds02 which they never sent replacement, to this ds03 leg damage piece ...id suggest to stick with hasbro
I like so much this figure. The vehicle mode looks more similar to the movie version than the SS version and of course the paint and dirty applications are excellent. And of course the legs ratchets are more tightly than you thought because this parts needs to connect with the legs (longhaul and rampage/skipjack) and support all over of him.
I just hope they don’t cause no damage to the plastic over time :(
When hearing that ratchet joint i felt my soul tearing apart.
I can only imagine the plastic tearing 😥
According Devil Saviour, you can add lubricant to the large ratchets via two small holes on the bottom of the crotch piece.
@@professornuub oh really? That's kinda cool.
@@professornuub According to Devil Saviour it's not post to break but we know that's lie it break's more then a g1 transformer dose
@@transformersmaster8694 Holy crap it’s been almost a year and you’re STILL spam hating on this video?? That’s dedication.
We are nearing the end of this journey, tho it's a long way away
i hope that get shut down before that get done there last one that would be funny
This is truly a work of art
Thanks for the plug on where to buy this! I have Mixmaster, Scavenger, and Long Haul
I love how these are based off of the Legends class Devastator figures and yet they look so good
I actually never noticed that omg
Stoopp already?! This is why I love your channel 🔥🔥
Ah thanks so much :)
I got the studio series overload and I looked at your review on him it was a great video
Beast! Nice review as always!
Thanks!
The only way I'd get this version of Devastator is:
1) To obviously have the money.
2) If they released it as a box set that's already in the combined Devastator mode.
a box set for this would blow my wallet out of the water
@@icejaythakid 600 bucks is the same as the studio series
3 years later, and they're making a boxed set
I was surprised how quickly these are releasing. Can't wait for troublemaker.
I think they’re taking too long lol. It’s been a year since I took a look at the first one and this is only the fourth release
@@PrimeVsPrime Yes, I suppose you are right, but for me somehow it feels way faster. Maybe its because I'm back in school now... who knows.
In 2 years from. Just imagine that BMB did a KO Oversized version of Devil Savior Devastator just like they to Alien Attack Mirage!😈
It would be crazy lol
That would probably be the most accurate scaled devastator though it would be the price of a prime1 studio statue which is 3,000 Dollars at most
When he is combined. We need him to be compared to omega supreme
Why not both?
Sure
@@griffinclem5574 Why not..... EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!
@@sillydave5544 y not trash them cause that break so easy and combiner wars devatsator was the best g1 looking devatsator that devil junkyard mess of ko of a great devatsator is just sad pile of shit
@@transformersmaster8694 Geewunner huh?
This is my favorite on all of the devil savour figures
dang that things amazing! cant wait to see the finished devastator!
Me too!
24:48 this reminds me of how overloaded combined mode looked in the legends Devastator(or whatever that class was called back then)
You are correct it does look like the legends class overload
From the design of DS's Scavenger and Overload, and the final look of Devi, seems they're going the route of redesign/upgrade the Hasbro's legends class Devi set released quite a few years back .
Damn, Overload looks like an absolute killing machine with that amount of claws
6:10 now in 2024 the studio series version is $20 more expensive on Amazon then over half of the devil savior listings on eBay 🤣
At least we're getting a rerelease
Amazing!
Great review.
Recommendation: Add Retail Prices To Reviews?
Thanks! & yes sure! Or just check the link in description :’)
If I had a spare £1500 I would buy this lol. Luckily im finally completing my studio series devastator (with a KO sacramental) next week.
Same I had to get a Ko of scrapmetal too. By Aoyi Mech, and btw I only have scrapmetal, long haul and hightower (I only started collecting after seeing the end result, at first I thought they were ugly)
@@trompimusprime4510 If you're in the UK you can get Skipjack and Scavenger from Smyth's, , and Overload and skipjack again are available from Amazon. Scrapper is £60 on amazon. Mixmaster is about the same too.
So yh aftermarket stuff lol.
@Slimine S7 Fair enough. Tbh the Aoyi mech ones have very minor differences. I think with Scrapmetal the only major difference is the grey shoulders and a die cast chest.
@@mattstormtornado or scrapmetal from kapow toys
I just want to say that thank you for replying to comments nice review and I have hype for the full devastator oh and am I the only one that thinks DS makes like masterpiece versions of the transformers?
The feet transformation is oddly satisfying
Idk if you have noticed with these figures,(maybe you have), but these figures are based on the tiny combiner devastator. Of course they vastly improved and added to the designs but I definitely notice it with this version of overload
I actually never haha, it’s pretty crazy now I can see the similarities
I think that goes for this guy, Giant Axe, and Landslip. Smash was based off ROTF Long Haul, and Sweeping the Studio Series Rampage. Split, Bomber, and Paranoider kinda seemed to be doing their own thing.
The ss looks so much better proportionally. With a lil drybrushing he’s honestly on par with this thing. I’m ngl though something about the sheer duck loaf of detail especially in the truck bed is just 😩🤤
It also blends in like the feet do because it could be interpreted as him just hauling a bunch of metal scraps around
Bro this looks great and cool, but after seeing this, the studio series neeeds to catch up!
Yes... finally i want it
Awesome!
Just submitted my order. It says "Incoming" though.
Good job making sense of the insect I mean robot mode of the Bayformer.
this is better than the studio series version...and is only 30 bucks more. this is WORTH IT
Before even starting the video I knew that transformation would be h e double hockeysticks. Still a nice looking figure regardless
Best Transformers reviewer. Nice videos as always
Ah thanks so much! :)
Can't remember last time I was this excited for figures. I already have Smash, Split and Giant Axe in hand, and they blow me away. The lack of quadrapeds here is actually to my liking, as I am not a fan of moviebots which get too abstract in their designs ('07 Megs, I'm looking at you...).
Both studio series and devil savior are good designs.
This definitely takes inspiration from the old legends class version
Be carful with you copy, my version of compressor broke with in the first transformation. Right in the left side leg. It was a clean snap when I was rotating it.🥺🙄
Luckily the new figures of scrap metal and Hightower have a replacements for his ratchet joints
@@pumpkinqueen316 I got lucky and they sent me a new ratchet joint in the mail. However fixing it is never as easy as braking it.
Very good
Nice review. Do you think loosening the screws in the hips could make the ratchets easier to manipulate?
Just like Alfonso said”he looks like a crab” XD I want you to collab with chefatron and alfonsoooooooooo
Me & Chef are in talks at the moment, it’s happening 100%, hopefully it’ll go up when the lockdown in the U.K. lifts
@@PrimeVsPrime IM SOOO EXCITED 😛
Great review.
This ACTUALLY has better paint apps than the studio series😀😁
@@razorshark6790 bruh they aren't trash talking it they are just saying it has better paint than than the studio series version
@@razorshark6790 so? they are just saying it has better paint
Well of course. This guy is 3x the price of the official one.
@@notrod0918 yeah I know that but your accusing them of trash talking it when they really weren't they were just saying it has better paint and you accuse them of trash talking the figure
@@razorshark6790 WHAT DOES A BUDGET HAVE TO DO WITH YOU ACCUSING AN INNOCENT PERSON OF TRASH TALKING SOMETHING WHEN THEY DIDN'T
Im really glad they didnt just copy the studio series design. He genuinly looks unique from the SS form. He is a bit slimmer and has anime esc proportions
But from the looks of it. Some of the figures are based on the old legends devy
@@notrod0918 no idea what that is but ok
would love to have this version of devistator. it looks great just out side of my price range so ill just have to settle with the poor mans Devistator with hasbro lol. great review as usual. keep them comming.
Studio series is still a great figure! & thank you :)
His design remembers me the legends class version of him, in the 2009 rotf toyline
I'm starting to wish I bought the figures from heat toy than tfsource. I'm waiting for my copy
My pops used to haul this types of trailers back in the 90s
Very cool!
DS07 and DS08 are available on various websites now.
Primevsprime i wonder what was your experience with the shipping from heat toys cause i want to buy this.??
Very good, takes roughly 10days to get to the UK
I honestly want to get these but my god is the engineering on them looks like a pain. The SS Constructicons were simple sure, but the transformations were fun. The DS Constructicons so far though, their transformations are overly complex and don't look fun. However, that opinion might change since only half of them have come out so far.
Mixmaster is a bit ridiculous, but I feel like the rest of them are pretty standard as MP figures go. Whether you find that fun or not is up to you, of course.
@@ozzyp97 yeah what this guy said. Mixmaster is a headache but Long Haul and Scavenger are a breeze by comparison. I especially enjoy playing with Long Haul.
The thing with Devil Savior figures, is that they've got some genius engineering, while having amazing figure detail, but at the cost of being any fun to handle. Well that last part depends on who you ask. Definitely best as display pieces.
@@_V.Va_ Yeah, you're right. the SS Constructicons are less complex, but more fun. The DS Constructicons are good display pieces, but so are the SS ones. They go well with the other SS Decepticons, they look pretty good, and they have more fun transformations. Yes, the DS Constructicons have genius engineering and look amazing, at the cost of a fun transformation. So both sets have their pros and cons, but only 4 of the DS Constructicons have come out while the whole SS set has already come out, so time will tell which is better overall.
IMPORTANT - HANDLE THE RATCHET JOINTS WITH CARE!!!
They 100% over tightened these leg ratchets; it is not a question of if the ratchets will cause damage "overtime" - they WILL cause IMMEDIATE damage to the figure if not handled with care. I literally just received a brand new DS-03 in the mail two hours ago, opened the box, transformed it into robot mode once, and during the transformation BACK into vehicle mode (again, for the first time) the ratchet joints broke one of the legs. DAY 1.
If you look at how the leg itself is attached to the ratchet joint, you will notice that the leg is basically just attached by two flat pieces of plastic being sandwiched together. Near the knee joint, you can see the small black screws that hold the leg itself to the ratchet joint. What has just happened for my figure is the ratchet joint is so tight that when I was trying to rotate/pivot the leg during the transformation, the tension STRIPPED TWO OF THE BLACK SCREWS OUT. Evidently, the screws they used are very short. So if you handle the legs the wrong way and apply pressure on those screws, because of how damn tight the ratchet joints are, you can VERY EASILY detach the entire leg from the joint. BE CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING!
Compressors transformation doesn't want to make you kill yourself at least. And it holds together unlike split whos screws fell out when I transformed him for the first time ever. So I might get this thing
These figures are a lot better than the studio series version, I can’t quite afford them... so thanks a lot for reviewing these figures! You do a great job, so much so I don’t need the figure to appreciate it. Please keep up the great work
(Edit: I love how you warn us about potential problems on figures also, I’ve noticed what you’ve been talking about numerous times on figures and I believe it’s helped prevent some figures from breaking, it’s much appreciated.)
I preferred the spider-legged concept art
Edit:after seeing how he transforms, I’m thinking that that may be possible...
I don’t think the spider legs would be able to support the weight
@@pumpkinqueen316 I would fear the same thing if I owned such a model. It would look cool though.
@@Mike-mf3ed oh definitely it would look super cool I think they only way the legs would support it is if they were made from diecast metal
@@pumpkinqueen316 yeah, probably.
The concept art for overload is actually depicted as him having 4 legs to
Is it just me or did they reuse parts of Smash to make the cab section of Compressor?
It looks similar but I believe it’s completely new
@@PrimeVsPrime Ok...
Devil Savior looks better than the Studio Series, by a long shot. But price and frustration of its component transformations makes it a nogo for me.
I’m on Emgo’s side here. It will be a wonderful statue once completed.
PrimevsPrime: And this is gonna devastate harsbro's version.
Me: And this gonna devastate my money
Devastate our wallets 😥🤣
hello prime I loved your video :3
Is no one gonna talk about the fact that the transformation is similar to the mini devasistatior
Because this overload is based on that.
Yeah that was my first thought. The transformation to combined mode is just a much more complex version of what the Legends Class Overload did.
I believe it is spelled devastator.
@@tystoyhub6610 I know it’s just that my auto correct kept messing it up so I just left it like that
I'm still waiting on that six legged Overload.
I looked on showzstore and there's a SS devastator upgrade kit by DNA design
Ikr?!
It looks amazing also this is after I saw your review of it as soon as I get the box set I'm buying the upgrade the face was the thing the originally bothered me due to it being to square and DNA design fixed it perfectly
I like the back looks like hella heavy steel keeping the dump and wheels together so it don’t fall apart
Ikr?!
The vehicle mode is just amazing. The robot mode is fantastic and menacing. Personally, a lot better done than Scavenger, don’t tell me you don’t hate those tiny wheels...
i may need to buy this even tho i need the ss one for devastator
I feel like bayverse designs are hated because they are not accurate to the original transformers. In terms of accuracy to the source material it fails, but as their own designs I love them alot and im glad i got to see them through concept art and toys
i love your transformers devil saviour ds 03 overload
Awesome! :)
Hey prime vs prime the devil saviour troublemaker paranoider and bomber are open and released from Color R Touch Toy.
Yess
Compressor has a better vehicle and combined form, but Overload has a better robot mode. Also, I have found a way to imitate the quadruped look by mistransforming Overload... Doesn't look like the concept art at all, but hey it's something.
There was a legends movie devastator from way back when, the the devilsavia is based on the overload from that set
Yeah I think that's generally understood at this point. I want to know why. They must've based it off that for a reason
Is it just me or are compressor and giant axe just extremely oversided and more complex versions of the original legion/legends versions
I believe you’re right
it really is i love the fact that g.a and compresor are inspired by the legends class toy and im really hyped for scrapper and hightower+scrapmetal scrapper has a flail!
@@PrimeVsPrime i hope to god that get shut down that don't have there own website or anything so that means u buy one u r fucked if it breaks on u cause no way to get parts to fix it and i told my buddy who broken split if that one broken don't buy any more cause that all will break
I wish overload more of a screen time in the movies
The transformation looks like a nightmare but at least he looks good
It’s actually the easiest out of them all so far lol
Hey the scrapper that that was in prototype form devastator it has came out and you have to see it it's been a thousand years
The devil savior figures are so detailed that it tricks you into thinking the Transformations are can be so complicated but then we you transform the figure Transformations aren't really that complicated there between the Middle I guess🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
The one part that's is going to slowly self destruct is only that tight so its not that floppy
Fir the leg ratchets they look like the big ones with screws, maybe if you loosen those it could help
Have yall noticed that it's just the legends class overload but Bigger and more detailed.
Finally
Bruh, This looks EVEN better than the studio series
why cant hasbro make such details toys like this?! 😤😤
Also which company did the better overload? I have 2 studio series ones as my first one had a broken ratchet joint meaning one of the shoulders/thigh connectors on long hauls side wouldn't lock. I bought a second one though and it was perfect (probably just a duff one I got at first). Looking at Compressor, I have my fear he will be very fragile, whereas the hasbro one is very robust and strong. I wonder if it will be able to take the weight of the DS scavenger, mixmaster, scrapper, high tower and bucket head (Scrapmetal is an excavator, bucket head is the bulldozer). In terms of proportions the hasbro overload will be able to hold up 5 figures but that is because scavenger is about the same size as overload and mixmaster is a medium sized voyager. Compressor is much smaller than Giant Axe and Split is very weighty so im scares it may collapse
I wish they made a green version of RotF Devastator.
They did as a toy! Search up green devastator
Has anyone else noticed that compressor's combine mode looks just like the rotf legends class overload combine mode
the right arm is now available
Honestly at first look, I thought this guy was a Swiss army knife
Can the DS Toys combine the full devastator yet? I'm not caught up on their transformers and I'm curious about getting it and have a lot of questions that still remain unanswered right now lol
So far only 4 pieces have been released. The head, torso, lower torso & 1 leg :)
@@PrimeVsPrime oh ok thank you
Am I the only one who sees a striking resemblance to the Hasbro legends class Devastator figures? Overload and Scavenger both share similar transformations with those legends class toys and combine in a similar way. I think it's interesting
reminds me a lot of the legends one from 2009
Naiz
Dude, I am really with you, but I feel the legs were too not matching the hands. Therefore I wish they should have re-engineered the legs and separate them into 4 slimmer wicked looking legs.
Hey what constructicon does it show in the instructions that’s coming up next?
Officially long haul but because they shuffled the release dates around, really it’s Hightower & Scrapmetal
Soooo....I’m gonna go head and say it, this is a masterpiece set for CHUG scale 🤷🏾♂️....not a problem for me, I just wanted to point this out 👀
"Castraighting devastator"
Although it’s way better than the studio series, it’s way less cost worthy
The robot mode looks like ass the ss version is way better
@@Eternal_Tardis the ds one looks deadly compared to the ss
Mind if i ask but my brother's birthday is coming and i want to ask what country did you get this
