What do you do to prepare your car before a track day?
Oil level on top line first, i almost destroyed my engine with low oil levels. Pump tires if necessary. it's a good idea to take logs and make sure that the engine parameters are normal (especially detonation and egt)
High temp brake fluid is generally recommended.
Clean brake makes a big difference.
Thank you for the video! How about a oil pan with plates to keep a oil level in turns on track?
That brake fluid tester is neat! Is it sorta like a pH tester? Please send a link!
You can find one of the brake fluid testers here: www.summitracing.com/parts/wmr-w181
Note the linked one is for DOT 4 fluid
Should I be switching to thicker oil? 2022 civic si uses thin 0w-20 for fuel economy not sure if i should move up to 5w-20 at least or 5w-30.
No. Use what manual says to use.
You can get away with a high temp rating (the 2nd number)
