The best part about these videos is the constant setup change. It’s a little touch to the videos, but the finished product is outstanding. You’re becoming one of my favorite channels on YT.
The Irish Red style lends itself well to being served through the creamer (stout) attachment. I use a similar modular tap system, and after dialing in the pressure it was a treat to drink that way. Thanks for the amazing and continued content!
I really like your videos. Loved that you always included the recipe in the link for 5 gallon. Wis you still did that because the place you have selling them at doesn't have them all listed. I really don't need to buy a kit i work for a beer supply warehouse. Yes they have kits but i have been making yours and loving them. Keep up the good work but put your recipes back on please
I need to get my Nuka Taps installed!! Just haven't had a chance yet. Nice looking beer. was one of the first styles I brewed when I started out. Great drinking beer for sure! Cheers Martin!!
I've brewed a Irish Red recently and loved it in fact it's gone although some went out for beer mail, it's my next brew next week. Love the keezer set up I have 4 taps on a kegerator one is a Guinness tap from a pub, love the taps going to have a look at them look great, another great vid cheers 👍🍻
Hi Martin, I have a similar conical fermenter to yours. How do you go doing 2.5 gallon batches in this? Do you find that the amount of beer that sits out of reach in the cone means you lose quite a bit of beer in relation to the size of the batch?
I’m using Vittles vaults for the base malts (they hold a full bag of grain). And some containers I found at the dollar store for the specialty grains, which hold about 3lb of grain. I’ve had some grain in there over a year now
Hey, great show. I'm trying to replicate the recipe here in Finland, but I don't know how much exactly is "one bag of east kent golding"? I didn't find the recipe bag through your Atlantic Brew Supply link either.
@@TheHomebrewChallenge Thanks. I'm a noop on brewing, sorry. I think I need also your patch size or perhaps better yet g/l (for these hops). I'm trying to add these to my recipe app...
Very interested to hear how much you like the nukataps after a few months with them. They were modeled (according to Kee) off the Intertap stainless taps. Did you use a forward sealing spring with them? I recently ordered my kegland secondaries, so i am looking forward to installation and reduction in foamy pours. How did you come up with 10 feet of 5mm hose length to get correct velocity for pours, what was the serving pressure (and, did it work)? Cheers!
Which water filter do you use to fill your kettle? I have a very similar setup and I'm looking to get something similar. How do you get away with not having a very long hose?
Hi Martin, thank you very much for a great video. I am a big fan of Irish Red Ale, and yours sounds just too delicious to pass up ! I just want to know, there is no Irish Red recipe when i click on the recipe link. Is there somewhere else where i can go look for it ? Also, what is the weight of your grain-bill ? You gave your recipe amounts in %, but nowhere did you give an indication of the weight of your grain-bill. I am looking forward to hear from you . Thank you very much once again.
Huge Irish Red fan but even larger fan of Chocolate Rye. What sets NukaTaps apart from Intertap? I'm in the U.S. and never seen NukaTaps for sale over here.
@@TheHomebrewChallenge You should look them up as it is like two people invented the same taps with all those connectors but had a falling out and made almost the same thing under two different brands and slightly different designs.
My Irish ale recipe design is similar but I'm hesitant to add as much caramel malt. I have 4 oz of each instead of 8. I'm also using golden promise as my BM. How pronounced was the caramel flavor in yours?
Hi Martin! Great videos! Im new in this beer world and your videos have helped me to know new recipes with your beer description. I have two questions: 1.- Could you mention how long you let the beer in the first fermenter and how long and temperature conditions you let the beer in the bottle (carbonation phase)? 2.- And when you say in your videos that beer have “4 weeks age”, Are you counting that time from the beginning the first fermentation or once finished or beginning bottling or once you have carbonated beer? Greeting from Mexico Martin! Thank you.
Love following your channel Martin, keep it up! Just curious, was there a particular reason for you switching away from your Brew Easy system? Was it just to get a better system for 5 gallon batches? I have an electric 5g BE and have been pretty happy with it aside from the slightly lower efficiency.
Hi Brian! I really loved this one! One question, would you consider that there is no need to make additional hop additions than the first one @60' ? I'm a kind of new to brewing and I have seen many people who brew this beer do more than one addition, but yours totally overcomes the other ones hehe. Thank you!
It’s personal preference if you want to add later additions for aroma and flavor. In the case of this beer I didn’t think it necessary but you certainly could experiment.
Hey Martin, been watching since the beginning and I'm loving every bit of the content. Keep it up! You gaining any weight with all that beer available? HAH. Just curious, what industry are you in for day job? Production quality is always great!
Do you have any type of insulation for your beer lines running between your keezer and the taps? For my father-in-law's setup we installed tubing insulation from the keezer to the bar taps. It essentially keeps the lines at the keezer temperature while also reducing foam.
Those taps look exactly like my INTERTAPS. Did they change the name?

I’ve covered this in some of the other videos. But basically transfer to keg then force carbonate at 30psi for a couple of days.
