Exodus hasn't actually been released yet. It was just announced this year, and they only recently revealed the gameplay. Seems promising though. The developers behind the game are former Bioware employees who worked on the Mass Effect series of games.
Concord is a tale of corporate hubris. It was conceived ten years ago as their answer to the rise of hero shooters and the 'live service' model everyone was going for. For 10 years Sony put in millions and a studio change or two just to keep the game in development. They somehow convinced the shareholders and higher ups that this was going to be the next 'Star Wars of gaming'; something that would prop the Sony and PS brand, especially since they knew the PS5 was coming. They hinged all their bets, marketing and resources just to prop it up (hence its billing in Secret Level). And when the first public announcement came it was met with... lukewarm reception, at best. No one wanted the mid _at best_ character designs that didn't stand out amongst peers and everyone collectively groaned when it turned out to be a hero shooter. Not only was it saddled with the $40 price tag for a genre where its contemporaries were mostly F2P by then, the gaming landscape and audience attitudes had already changed drastically. Only 2.5K people tried out the open beta _when it was free_ and on release, it had an astounding _700 peak playercount_ on launch week. Merely 6 days later, the studio announced the closure of servers the following week, full refunds and a small thank you note for all those who bothered playing. Reportedly, the game had almost $400 million put into it, and it had only lasted a grand total of 2 weeks.
Amos learned to lie; he gave up his truthful ideals when he realized the love of his life was selfish and evil. that's why he said he loved Cleo / didn't turn her in.
I think the Concord episode shows why they should have made it a single-player, story-driven game instead of a hero shooter. The game got pulled from digital storefronts and completely shut down 2 weeks after release, so you can't play it anymore even if you wanted to. It also led to the closure of the entire studio that made it because the estimated cost of the game was $400 million. It's probably one of the biggest failures in the history of video games.
it got the kill the justice league treatment. rip concord. 😄 who's next to try their luck doing a stupid looter shooter? throw away millions in development dollars fools.
The MegaMan episode and the Honor of Kings episode very really good. I think the first half had better episodes. But ultimately overall the series had some really good entries. Luckily, they're greenlit for a 2nd season so we'll be getting more in the near future 😎
Honor of Kings is a game like League of Legends, and Yixing is the latest playable character added to the game. I think they were release the same time (Yixin debut in game and Secret Level release date)
8:18 "I haven't anything left to give, Felicity. Nothing physical, nothing mental. Nothing. And it's not as if you'd ever give anything back in exchange. That's not your style, after all." Just an idea for some alternative dialogue. I usually keep these sort of thoughts and ideas in my head.
Great reactions guys, ya Concord was released and then removed from all storefronts in the same week. The game doesn’t exist at all now. Good episode though hah
I love they made the finale dedicated to PS.❤🎮 And yep ,same feel on Mega man ended too quickly. Exodus really giving me interstellar movie vibes too. And in that concord episode ,I think those pirates made their way to the game world ,and I'm getting the feeling they changed into the game charcters (The green scaly lady turned into the game's version which is a male one). I had a hard time figure out who that charater is ,even after watching the entire series at 1st go. Now, I think ,He's the VO of Playtime's buddi robot too.
I had mega man on the early systems and was addicted to the X series, specifically the one when Double double crossed him. Him and Zero need to be seen in theaters, forget a game…with Sonic’s success. We’re up next, gotta be!!!
They made episodes about dead games or games nobody has ever heard of, yet something like CS, Half Life, Starcraft, Mass Effect, CoD, and countless others - just lost for words. I wonder what they will bring in on the table in season 2?
Good writers tell stories they are inspired to tell and which they find interesting. Bad writers pander to fan expectations, and worse, fans who think only the titles they like are valid.
@@andrejs9112 Of course a member of the entitled generation would defend pandering in place of creativity and then try to justify it by using such a poor analogy.
It's stil better then concord. Also if you see it as the player remembers time before mobile gaming it feel better. I wish the industrie would go and take all the mobile stuff out of normal games. But as long it makes money it will stay.

Sony only bought them and helped development less than 2 years ago.

I'm very interested to see what they do for Season 2.
20:14 A father's love transcends the laws of time and space. It's quite inspiring.

Last episode ex my least favorite. Visually awesome tho
That Playtime episode was bullshit and they know it! Lol

i watched the concord episode. it wasn't even entertaining enough to be considered mid. but it wasn't absolute dogshit either.
It's basically "We have Guardians of the Galaxy at home."
