I don't think the Agatha was being weird. For me, this reads 100% like someone who is trying to throw up a wall to protect themselves emotionally. Agatha is that kid that has been told they're bad and a troublemaker, so they lean into it, like it doesn't matter as a defense mechanism. When Agatha was in shock from what just happened and Teen, who has supported her, doesn't believe she couldn't control her powers. She throws up that wall and becomes the mustache twirling villian she been called her whole life. I think this trial was actually Teen's not Agatha's. But no one excepted him to have one. So Agatha was a good guess. Lilia's hais style was a style some girls had in the 80's. But then it became more popular with moms. Unlike the other styles that just ran their course and died off.
my current theory is that Agatha really can't stop when she's absorbing power, and that that is how Nicholas died, because he was magical too and accidentally blasted her. I think the voice fragment we heard wasn't Nicky speaking directly to this situation from the other side I think it's a flashback to the thing she thinks she should be punished for most.
I think there's definitely an addiction analogy happening with Agatha. With drug addicts and alcoholics they need community support around them to process trauma, to heal and maintain sobriety. Agatha's mother and her original coven wanted to destroy her, but if they did nothing then they wouldn't be dead. It's incredibly tragic that the person who stepped up to save and protect Agatha met the same fate. Alice is a hero and I am devastated by how things went down. I think Agatha's villain bit with Teen is a reflex, a front or a shield she is so used to putting on to avoid being vulnerable.
Wanda's crown materialized when she accepted she was the Scarlet Witch because the Scarlet Witch is destined to be the vessel for the first demon Chthon...He basically picked her as his queen/future body. Each coven however seems to have a witch with an "energy crown" that signifies them as the strongest/leader of the coven. Also Alice's magic is focused on protecting so Evanora couldn't have possessed Agatha again because she was exorcised out before Agatha took Alice's powers.
The crown thingy is awarded to powerful enough witches; and the scarlet witch (arguably the most powerful) is apparently the only witch who can practice chaos magic; but chaos magic isn't learned, it's inherited/prophicized... at least, that's how I understand it 😅
Great reaction. Can't wait for you to see Episode 6, things start really coming together. For this episode there is much online discourse about whether Agatha "meant" to drain Alice of power. Some people jump to thinking she went full on evil. Some attribute it to basically how her powers have always worked, like it basically being a unique protection power of when a power hits her, she will absorb no matter who it's coming from. Some fans think it's akin to having a drug addiction, once power starts flowing into Agatha it becomes all that matters. Idk, she did show remorse and seemed I'd say "hurt" when teen turned on her like everyone else. Only after that did she slip on the mask and began goading him at the end to reveal himself. Also, there was a whole bunch of cool easter eggs to the horror movie theme, they were even dressed to reference different characters from famous horror movies. Not my fav genre of film I didn't catch a lot, but I really appreciate the hard work, and the details put into this episode. Only stuff that still bothers me are that the aspect ratio never changed during the trial this time, and the exit went up not down.. why? Truly wish you good luck in avoiding the spoilers :)
I think the scene with Teen yelling out was two folds. Agatha hears Teen say her son's name and able to hear it without sigil censoring it, cementing that the Teen is not Nicholas; followed by the spirit sound of Nicholas saying "Mama, stop!" made her realise that Nicholas is actually dead, and not the teen. So, I think that's why Agatha defaulted to her second theory about who the Teen might be, she suspected he could be Wanda's son. I think she came to that realisation basically after. And in regards to Rio's look at Agatha as she was leaving was also two folds: I think she was sort of feeling bad for Agatha about both the mum trauma and her killing Alice uncontrollably, but remember how Agatha was like "Don't!!", pleading at Rio when Teen was about to die? In this case, she didn't say anything to Rio, so, she probably interpreted as "oh, so, you are okay with me collecting this body then?"...at least, that's how I saw it. Considering how Rio never came out of the house in that last scene.
Agatha already explained she can’t steal powers unless attacked first. She was only able to take Alice’s powers because Alice was shooting her. *to get rid of Agatha’s mom* but Agatha’s power is a protection magic. One I think she got to protect herself from her clearly evil mother who even lady death *rio* doesn’t like. Agatha’s coven all attacked her so her power protected herself. Which “killed them” even though now there like evil zombies chasing them. I think Agatha’s mom and her coven fully planned to sacrifice Agatha on the road to obtain power themselves but Agatha’s ability thwarted them and made her super powerful. She’s a succubus but one that can only use that ability when attacked. And everyone keeps brushing over that very important detail. It’s not black and white. Yes she killed her coven on the road …. Because they attacked her
I dunno if the crowns were ever completely explained. Wanda had one but Agatha's mum also had a similar (more spectral) crown in the Wandavision scene where she tried to kill Agatha.
I have a dark theory. I think Agatha may have accidently killed her own son with her powers. As far as the genres go I think they were doing Evil Dead. At least that's what I got from it.
Agatha's not being weird - it was Agatha all along. She's *evil.* She's clever, manipulative, charismatic and has ego for days. But she's fundamentally utterly self-centered and evil. Anytime she's not out for herself it's a mask she's putting on. Look at her in WandaVision - that wasn't Wanda making her into an era-accurate character, until the Hex collapsed, that was all Agatha.
You guys, my bb Agatha didn’t mean it 😢. Her mom set that all up so she would be alone and hated again. When teen stops believing in her ability to be good, she gives up and puts that mask back on. I am sad. If anyone needs me, I’ll be permanently existing in the universe of agatha episodes 1-4
I think Agatha was just upset that Teen didn’t believe her when she claimed she wasn’t able to control herself with Alice. The one person in the coven who had been consistently defending Agatha, someone she was coming to regard as some sort of surrogate son, turned on her. So she reverted to her theatrical evil witch antics as a defense. This felt like the weakest episode so far, but I think episode 6 is a return to form!
I feel sad about Alice. She was really forming a bond with Teen.
Yep, and that’s why he lost his temper.
Previous premonitions,
"Alice don't..."
"Try to save agatha. "
Holy crap I didn’t catch that one.
Also "Get off of me!!!" from e2, which Sharon went on to say in e3 when she wandered by herself away from the group.

the crown is not only awarded to the scarlet witch ( and hers is red ) ; Evanora Harkness had a blue crown -
@nikoblack1272 oh yep, good point! I didn't make it clear
Yes and Wiccan was also prophecy. His statue was in Mount Wundagore
In fairness, Cabin in the Woods + posession + 80s = The Evil Dead
That was genuine remorse on Agatha's face, after she killed Alice, i believe that she really couldn't control it.
"Mr Sheart?"😂 That's what I thought fist too.

I'm hoping that Marvel/Disney puts out a vinyl with all the versions of the song. 🤞
They have! I pre ordered it immediately! 😊
@@psychedelicpegasus7587 now I have too. Thanks

Say hello to Wiccan, he’s way more powerful than Wanda and he is destined to be the sorcerer supreme at some point
it broke when Agatha confirmed he was Wandas son , just like your mother so she confirmed she wasnt Teens mother
she said dont 1st then said save Agatha so warning was DONT save Agatha
She said save agatha in the third episode, she said alice don't in the fourth.

I was getting stong Stranger Things vibes from this episode, rather than horror movie...
5:19 girl. Im with you. I just despise the Billy story and dgaf about it all.
7:37 we are the same. 😢
