Ya'll are tearing it up, but try to remember, with exhaustion comes accidents. Pace yourself, stay hydrated, take breaks, and be careful. The window mistake was just a hiccup compared to falling from a ladder 2 stories up. Love what you're doing

don't forget to cut the bottom side of the door space, leave the top half inch which can be cut from the top without scarring the floor. This will make it easier to cut it clear once you install the wall.

@@ThisOffGridLife you’re probably thinking this way already but I’d suggest just getting minimal interior first floor framing done, enough to support the second floor joists, then bang up the second floor and get roof on. Then make a warm insulted living space on the first floor to hibernate for the winter. Probably gonna need to weather wrap the exterior to save your sheathing. Hell….Maybe even just flat roof the first floor for the winter. I’m just trying to lookout for y’all!

Great Job on the build. hard work for sure. we have been watching your back videos and about your compost. great way doing it with the stucco wire, and plastic tube for air. I've always just stirred mine but its super heavy, will try that. love learning about composting. Huge concern I have is your adding dog feces due to parasites. Dogs eat everything in the forests can pick up many kinds accidentaly. If the temperature is not high enough the parasites can live. some are cysts they are harder to kill. I also think it would be wise to have a separate visitor compost and not use in your garden to be safer to not introduce any parasites unknowingly, and or drugs they maybe on. from your garden. Yes many people even us Canadians have parasites without knowing. I am all for composting but parasite infection is horrible and some cysts types can be difficult to get rid of. awesome videos.

I just found your channel and have watched them and it brings back a lot of memories. I have a LT-30 Woodmizer that I bought in 1990 and cut all my framing for our 2800 sf three story home. I used all Beetle kill wood for my framing. Some things I noticed that might help you. If you have a log that is tapered lets say 24" at one end and 20" at the other end I put a 2" block under the 20" end of the log so I have straighter grain through my lumber. Also I've noticed if I cut lumber from a lug that has a curve in it the boards most likely will end up with a bow in them. Also I mostly only cut dry logs. Keep up the great work guys and I look forward to more videos.
