2024 how many generations still love them❤❤
This is the first time that I'm seeing this too and they'll never ever ever be out of fashion I will love and adore Jimmy Page and Robert Plant Led Zeppelin for the rest of my life
"Excuse me, is anyone in charge here?" A really well organized press conference.
I was incredibly in love with Zep in the 70’s when I was a teenager. And then one day in the 90’s, my daughter brought home a greatest hits CD compilation of Zep, thinking she’d discovered something new and I’d not have a clue about. Hahahahahahaha! Zep lives on decade after decade…♥️
Page is such a cool dude
He absolutely is.
The king of cool he's always been 😎
Robert Plant is talking so far above everyone else is intellect. He is always amazing🌼
Exactly , he’s very intelligent
@@phillthorpe2643
Page seems to be shy or maybe he has a hangover.
@@gorankling6097 that's true! He is a shy guy and he always drinks and smokes a lot to relax!
I agree. I think he's very intelligent also. In pictures, he's seen reading books quite a bit. I think he has interests in many different areas.
It’s not intellect he’s just an effective communicator and extrovert. Page has a greater intellect than Plant, he’s just shy and introverted so it’s not apparent socially.
It’s called gift of gab.
This is my first time seeing this. Theses questions like being "out of fashion" are so disrespectful and stupid. I played in bands from the late 80's through the grunge movement into the rebirth of metal in the late 90's and early 2000's I don't know about in Australia but there has never been a time up to know that Zepplin wasn't a major influence and thought of as one of if not the greatest rock band ever. Their music is timeless. What a bunch of stupid questions.
So right!!!
So very true. Then again, didn't the Australians voluntarily turn in their guns when the government asked them to?
They are erudite
Robert always seems to steal the spotlight. It's OK - love him so much, but love Jimmy's commentary. They both have a wonderful sense of humor. Love it when they tell the press what's up!
He’s the lead singer! Of course he does
Robert does take over but Jimmy tends to not want to talk and Robert has no problem talking lol after all it is a press conference..I watched another interview where Jimmy tried giving Robert his microphone and Robert said no, your going to talk to, he's just helping out...Robert is the 1st one that will tell someone exactly what he thinks lol but stupid questions tend to push those buttons..love Robert ❤❤
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant there is a magical connection creating spectacular music. Congratulations!!👍😍😍
"I hope it's a communion because that's how it works best." Robert Plant. Amen.
I love how respectfully and thoughtfully Robert answers the questions.
Very Respectful.
Всегда уважительно и вдумчиво!
Robert smoking cigs! 🚬……I smoked Marlboro lights for years up quit in 2012.
I think Page now understands why Slash lives with his sunglasses on.
i don't know how good this show was, i saw them twice on this tour and both shows we're amazing, but this interview was great. Robert is funny on purpose and Jimmy just can't help but be funny
Robert: "Is that going to change?" (the irritating light shining into Jimmy's eyes); Jimmy: "When?"' Robert: "When The mouse starts running around in the wheel." LoL. Robert always has a unique way of saying things. Part of his charm.
Robert is a very funny guy, ever! He loves to make us laugh. He is a English joker , ever!
Jimmy looks really cool.his a king on guitar.
Sasa Lukic slibiditt
The negative comments aside, You have to imagine what a drag some of these Q & A sessions would be- Inane questions, over and over- They are tired, hungry, and perhaps just not in a good mood- I think this would for me, be the most horrible part of the job! The bright lights directly in their faces as well as the cameras going off would make a person grumpy right off the bat....And a couple of the almost flat-out rude questions at the beginning, really would be hard not to get put off over. The Q & A session was supposed to be about their current (1996) tour- but, the questions were mostly pointed to their Led Zepplin days- I would have liked to had heard more questions directed towards Hossam and His part in the tour-
I find that I get mesmerized by jimmy and Robert and don’t hear any thing that has been said
Colleen Cleland you too?
Me too !
OH YEAH HONEY
Only by jimmy 😍
@@graceb7563
Oh yes ❤
I just wanted to say real quick that when I listen to Led Zeppelin I have their entire all of the albums that they ever made .every single song that I listen to It's like you feel something in your you know your soul and your heart and everything is just connected and I don't know it's just there I love him so much..
Everything that Robert Plant says is with forethought and integrity! Any other band leader would have thrown the table over and stomped off!!
Page was the leader of Zeppelin, he formed them, Led was Page's baby, Plant was the singer that's it
@@youtoo2233 Not just the singer - the lyricist as well and the writer of some of the most beautiful melodies. Not to take away from Jimmy's position as founder and writer and guitar virtuoso but the band had four equal contributors - without the four, the band couldn't be. They were all the best at what they did
@@blacktulip3552 Totally agree. All four were needed to make that band spectacular.
The boys are so cool 😎
Favorite s for ever, My Zepplin forever!!
Robert is looking fab in that Moroccan caftan the colours suit his face.....getting back to the interview DUMB DUMBER DUMBEST QUESTIONS AUSSIES! I do feel sympathy but see Roberts quick wit back from questions FROM THE OLD DAYS ....I tuned in thinking Page/Plant 1996. Just got back from the J A -PAN company.
No wonder you guys are WHIPPED!!!!!
Love you both & respect your dedication to crap like this & the music!!!
What ever you think.
All in all & relative to other interviews I have listened to (thank you, btw, UA-cam, for a forum in which to preserve history & all the work invested by so many - jumping thru the legal, technical, etc. hoops to get it in this format -) this one was super fun & informative! Thank you, Jimmy, Robert, and Hossam (RIP)!
Robert got the better of the interviewer - whether a contest was intended or not.
historic footage. every member of zeppelin was frighteningly articulate.

Page at 1:36 just want to disappear ha ha ha... funny as hell
AT 1:53 TO 1:58 JIMMY'S LAUGH 🤗 AT 17:04 TO 17:38 I LOVE IT BLACK AND BUEATIFUL HE SAID AS A BLACK AND BUEATIFUL WOMEN MYSELF WE KNOW ABOUT ROCK GODS BELIEVE IT IT TOUCHES. AFRICAN. AMERICAN LIVES TO ❤
The press never GOT what Zeppelin was doing, never understood Jimmy's skills as a producer, and never accepted the fact that musicians embrace all music and look for opportunities to see where the music takes them. Good on Robert and Jimmy for being so honest and open after such an exhaustive journey.
Not sure what Ron Jeremy doing there in the middle :D
Tushar came to say this. 😂
You are not funny and that is so very insulting, not to mention a bad cover.
@@rosekittygraykittyjackkitt9676 Hilarious! Lighten up .
Rose Kitty, Gray Kitty, and Jack Kitty How do you live life not knowing how to take a joke
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic video thank you for sharing. One of my biggest regrets was selling my Zeppelin vinyl records and replacing them with the CD versions which were more convenient to play in the car . It’s now costing me a fortune to buy the vinyl records again.
I could see the attitude Robert has when dealing with the press I can understand that
Jimmy is smarter than them all, so he keeps quiet
He's getting a headache and seems bothered by bright lights.
@@pawelkuczera
He said they had just flown in from Japan. ( boy, were their arms tired ) lol 😆 😂 Naa, they must all be tired, huh?
@@elainemclaughlin9417 lol
Jimmy is a very shy guy and he has some difficulties when he has to speak or answer anything asked to him !
@@pawelkuczera Yes, that is true! They were affecting his eyes, that's why he always wears sunglasses. Robert does not care at all with the very strong bright lights, he nas no problem with the spotlights and flashes! He really loves all kind of theses stuffs!!! 😅😅😅
LZ has always been Jimmy's band
No, not just him...all four have their own unique contribution!! Plant is extremely important as the front man, lyricist and the amazing vocalist. And Bonzo? Legend! Don't know much about bass, specifically, but I know that JPJ is a revered bass player, so he must have some kind of contribution. Also, in most cases the chemistry and the dynamics within a band is such a crucial factor- replace one member, and the whole thing crumbles down. If they hadn't felt that way themselves, they would have continued after the death of Bonzo.
@@handebarlas6248 jpj was the hidden weapon....black dog for instance he had a hand in that riff along with jimmy..many songs jimmy would work on were helped greatly by Jones contributions...he was a mulitinstrumentalist handling the keyboards on songs like No quarter..this allowed them to remain a 4 piece when playing live. led zep was Jimmy's creation as a new yardbirds...he created the band and they really followed his vision album to album. he was 4 years older than plant and a seasoned sessionplayer by the time of zep..he played the guitar on donovans sunshine superman for example..Jones was a sought after session player as well...plant and Bonham honed their craft in local bands. each member of zep has a signature sound , but page was the leader ...he produced the albums and his mic setup on Bonhams drumshelped achieve the sound Bonham got on the albums ...to really back up your thoughts, Jimmy didn't want to continue after Bonham died becuase they really were all important to the sound. Lightning in the bottle with this band. .
It was Jimmy's leadership in the studio that really made a difference because everyone contributed to each song, and he was able to bring it all together. However, after Zeppelin, Robert definitely took the lead.
The lights were too bright.
The drummer is giving a music lesson.
their wit is on point......and so incredibly smart!!!!!! You could clearly compare them to any great musicion that will go down in history.
LMAO--- you can tell they love the press!!! Long live Zeppelin!!! Jimmy and Robert!!!
0:52 Page is already over it. 5000 shots up close with flash while he drinks water. That would give anyone a headache.
I want This Back Ehen Real Talent Did Not Soak Up The Flashing Lights It Was About The Work And Did Not Like They Space Invated And Paps Following Them Today No Talent Trash Like The Kartrashians Loveit Because They Have No Talent To Fall Back On
"roll along" perfect, Three generation witness to LOVE for Led Zep!
I knew a guy that was named after Jimmy Page bc his dad loved them so much. My musician ex who is like a father to me told an interviewer once that Led Zeppelin was influencial to his guitar playing. I could go on and on with everything they have done for myself and others. THEY ARE MY IDOLS!!!!!! Ty Robert I betted you were a Damned fan like me. xx
Robert Plant can get funny at times
ChevKen - He does every interview..
@@jayannakelley9051
He's very cheeky 😜
Never get your hair cut. Both Jimmy and Robert you're both beautiful forever.
forget about these dames who want to follow fashions.
I’m so glad to this day they kept their hair longer🌟
I don't blame them about not following fashion. LZ was a casual band who liked to be heard, not to have ones look at you. Bonzo once said, " it's about what you play, not what you are". Rock on Zeppelin!
@@laurieguenther5898
Jimmy Page has always said he's very conscience of what he wears, and Robert with his signature tiny shirts and tight jeans! And his long fur coat! Jimmy had his dragon 🐉 suits! They were fabulous! They still are!
@@elainemclaughlin9417 yeah that's true. it just amazes me that zeppelin dressed differently than queen band
Adoro a Jimmy Page, beautifull here Jimmy, I love him.
Yes you`re right but I love him, I don't know why
youre right, but it's sad, he was so handsome
For me it is sad that he was a drug addict, alcoholic and heavy smoker, and that he has destroyed his beautiful body
I like the music too, both Led Zeppelin and his other works (coverdale-page, the firm, etc) but this is an artist who always had a lot of appeal for women, that's very well knowni
urbanaeclectica - Well, he is 52 years old here, too. So he doesn’t look horrible for 52, just his hair is so frizzy instead of those nice long curls. And after getting so skinny from the drugs, he never got his muscle tone back.
Robert really looks haggard, more so than Jimmy, I think.
Gee I don't see him !!! Lol ALWAYS interesting interviews !!! Damn their funny !! 😄🕶💕☕🌍✌🍺
John Paul Jones looks different here. ;)
haha..thats not JPJ...that Jones are son in law of Robert..:)
Jajajaja who is he?

Gosh, it would have been awesome to see one of these shows with Hassan.
I saw 2..good stuff
And John Paul Jones is underrated
Peter Grant would’ve smoothed off the rough edges at these conferences before the guys stepped up to the plate. Looks very unprofessional .Good point about Punk from Robert , in my view Communication Breakdown is classic punk before it’s time !
“When the mouse stops running in his wheel” HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA
Robert. Class all the way!
I Love the both of my
Just cant believe Jimmy Page was 52 at that time. He looked and behaved like a teenager. Almost not a wrinkle in his face.
Like watching Robert's eyes. So funny the two of !!!
I was at that concert in 96.
Me too!
@@wavemotiongun12 What was your impression.
@@paulcooper5748 I was in awe. I was 19 watching these rock legends do their thing. Had a puff of the green, jimmy's theremin solo during whole lotta love blew my mind hahaha. Saw them at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
LEGENDS
The band will always be incomplete without bonzo but without John Paul Jones it is most definitely incomplete
@@Taylor.Dude. JPJ is the glue. Bonzo is gone
When I first heard this album,I thought what the hell are they doing, but the answer is clear from this press, the Songs & Music will always stand before everything else for me 🤗
Robert did well to handle such stupid questions about punk and fashion...
Punk (which was derived from America in 1974) lasted 3 or 4 years at best in the UK and only bands who sustained or had any real success weren't really punk!!
Zep played Kneborth twice and a number of world tours in that time to huge audiences
Journalist hacks and music critics are talentless jealous twats!
Coin that phrase "arabesque treatment" surrealist at work.
That was an awkward beginning to the interview. Had Peter Grant and John Bindon still been involved with Page and Plant, heads would have rolled.
Peter did a great job getting the band their due

Sacramento, CA, saw the creation of the "Blue" album, a bootleg of Jimmy's original
solo, movie--shelved--soundtrack. This by local OTO leader, Zardoz. At 32:32 they begin to discuss Zeppelin imitators, and Robert mentions the album "The Song Retains the Name," and the Earwigs (33:00) doing "Down By the Seaside." Zardoz was a manager of the Earwigs...
Plant just loves the sound of his own voice
The camera person was in love with Plant and kept the camera on him most of this press conference. How unprofessional.
didn't know plant was still smoking in the 90s. he was a smoker during his zep days, but I've watched a ton of plant interviews and never seen him smoke post zep
Plant always smoked a lot and still smokes until today and so does Jimmy!
@@veraregina4525 He hasn't smoked it 5 years or so. He's publicly stated as much.
@@TheRoomfull..page hasn't smoked for a decade or more. Not sure when Robert quit, but he's done too.
Btw, who cares?
My comment was responding to the person saying he still smokes today...not that I care although I'm glad he quit, smoking being such an unhealthy habit. Btw Jimmy smoked at least until 2016 or 17, assuming pictures of him smoking are dated correctly.
@@TheRoomfullsorry, i meant to direct my reply to the other person. I clicked like on yours 👍

Robert & Jimmy have the patience of Saints to do this. So many disrespectifull and plain dull questions are being asked.
How could this get a thumbs down?
@Dale Why does it matter? (It doesn’t)…
Maybe they didn't like the questions.
love it that he ask for a beer, Cheers :) me too
4:39 the girl makes it like to have listen and like Zeppelin you have had to be in the same time period as Zeppelin when they could’ve discovered it through they’re parents or curiosity, the ignorance and saying, ‘age’ in a very snarky way like it’s obvious 🤦♂️
Jimmy - "when?" lmao
At 13:14 i think Robert meant climactic.. he was very close though given that he‘s just stepped off a plane from Japan 🥱
a minute and a half in they are already sick of this shit lmao
This beats talking Ukraine and war.
History
Those bright lights were worse than Corona Virus on Jimmy.
This whole press conference is an awkward event, really awkward. Waste of their time and Jimmy is reacting as such.
