Thank you so much for "being a non black person" speaking highly and accurately regarding the people, lifestyle and success of black people in the "Atlanta" economy. I know its tough as a professional to touch on this due to rules and regulations but I'm glad you did a fair way! Great job with this video!!

All about me attitudes, thoughtless, selfish, arrogant, etc. Yeah, its happening in other states too but the southern hospitality is almost gone, both in professional settings as well as personal. Been here 40 years and it definitely not the Southern hospitality it use to be. So many people moving here and bringing their ways which have change the dynamics. Our communities use to have pride and keeping up their homes, now you have people cursing in stores, rude, drive like manics, littering, parking on their grass and the crime is out of control.
Born and raised in Atlanta, a Grady baby. Although I live in Decatur I always say I'm from the ATL. First "they" say it's a great city to live in then the other day "they" say we are 14th in having a rat problem. I don't live with rats, don't see any rats, don't do rats. I LOVE my city, love the Braves, love the Hawks and definitely love my Falcons. You did a great job with this article.
I disagree about the food scene. Buford Highway some of the best diverse food. Then you go up to Gwinnett County and some of the best Asian food around. Lots of delicious African food as well around the city.
Buford Hwy. and Gwinnett county does have a ton of diverse food options but Atlanta MSA overall is a little underwhelming when compared to other major cities. Don’t get e wrong.m, there’s some good food staples in Atlanta. Some spots I actually miss but I think the problem w/ Atlanta is the fact it’s too many mediocre to bland spots ITP.
Real Talk...I'm a fellow REALTOR that's born and raised in Atlanta. I have seen all the major changes and growth over the years. I have traveled to most of the major cities in the U.S. Thus, Atlanta has it challenges like other major cities. However, pound for pound I would have to agree with the article. Atlanta always has been and will continue to be a progressive city... ( Not bad for a southern city that was rebuilt from the ashes of the Civil War)
Atlanta native here: A realistic view of metro Atlanta - the nearer cities and counties - places Atlanta at about 5 to 6 million people. Another thing to take into consideration about the City of Atlanta proper is that although it may have only half a million residents, on any given day there are several times that many people IN the city, whether working or visiting, who do not live there.
Great point. At the end of the day, if droves of people are headed into the city proper or the perimeter to work, they must be counted. Because you have to deal with the traffic of "visitors" (myself included) to get back home. 🙂
🌱 I'm originally from Northern California, and I've been here East of Atlanta for several years now. Your Commentary is the Most Accurate I've found. 🍃
Great commentary! As a black 55 year old man born and raised in Atlanta, a Grady Baby, I must say, I loved growing up here! Atlanta has always had something very special. The whole southern white supremacy thing that existed in the rest of Ga, has ALWAYS had major pushback from blacks from its beginning! Yes Atlanta was apart of the segregated south, and we had our share of troubles, but overall.., Atlanta has always been known for BLACK EXCELLENCE! Our black businesses were so prosperous in Atlantas early days that the klan got jealous and ran the Blacks off of Peachtree and other areas, but we just went around the corner to Auburn Ave etc! Atlanta in particular was not your everyday southern city.., blacks here didn’t stand for the white folks pushing us around any way they wanted to with no push back! That’s what gave Atlanta its flavor and culture.., it was always a progressive mindset.., with dignified blacks demanding respect! Fast forward to today! Atlanta can’t loose this aspect of the city! When gentrification comes, they are famous for wiping out cultures, displacing everyone, and completely taking over everything! I love the beltline, the progression, and the new growth.., but we can not let rich whites and corporations just come in and erase what has always made Atlanta great! City officials have got to make Atlanta a city for EVERYONE! That is the culture of Atlanta. Where the Rich, middle class, and the working poor can ALL AFFORD TO LIVE! We can not let gentrification WHITE WASH and MAYONNAISE the entire vibe and culture of Atlanta! And just for the record.., rap, celebrities, and hip hop is not the culture of blacks in Atlanta.., the culture of blacks in ATLATA.., has ALWAYS been BUSINESS PEOPLE, DOCTORS, LAWYERS, ENTREPRENEURS, GREAT POLITICIANS, MOVERS AND SHAKERS in all areas of art, entertainment, and industry!!!! Get mad at me all you want.., but the TRAP MUSEUM.. is not the HIGHLIGHT OF BLACK CULTURE and what our city is known for.., that is an absolute insult! Drug and street culture is NOT what Atlanta is famous for.., Atlanta was always famous for BLACK EXCELLENCE in business, education, and ALL AREAS of the Market Place!!! Black politicians in Atlanta have to let the insatiable gentrifiers know.., no .., you will not come to Atlanta and destroy what Made Atlanta different and great. You will not be coming to Atlanta, getting rid of all the blacks and taking over… it’s time for black Atlanta to help these folks understand!!! You feel me?!!!!!
I use to live in Buckhead but moved to Smyrna due to traffic and crime. Plus the Battery is replacing the Buckhead strip as the go to spot. The majority of my "I'm never leaving Buckhead" friends now live in Cobb lol. The bail reform passed during covid shot crime up like crazy.
I've lived in metro Atlanta Georgia since 1979. I don't agree with a word that Atlanta is the best city to live in. Current Atlantans don't know what Atlanta is. Let me explain, spent a few days recently in Tennessee and my wife and I remarked how friendly these people are. It reminded us of what Atlanta USE to be. The influx of others from areas of the country are changing the dynamics of this city. The GRAFFITI is vomiting!!! It takes a lot of planning and preparation and execution to "tag" the back of highway signs, overpasses, underpass. Drive into downtown and you'll see homelessness living in underpass. GRAFFITI that's so nauseating!!! Atlanta is changing and has changed and NOT for the better. This is NOT the city Mayor Maynard Jackson (the best mayor Atlanta ever had) invisible. We've fallen woefully short and getting worse. Stores closing, unsafe streets, guns, ( my son was robbed at gunpoint - Black on Black crime!!) shootings, random smash and grabs, and TRAFFIC!!!!!!! Always, TRAFFIC!!!!!!! The Tech company's motivation for being here DOES MATTER! If they want to hire "diverse" talent, they'll attract and find the type of employee they want, no matter where the office is located. These companies don't have to move here for that. Most people I know who live in the metro Atlanta area DON'T want to live or even go to Atlanta proper. It's just too much of a hassle on too many levels. The Atlanta I once knew was friendly, helpful, neighborly, positive, compassionate, and GOD fearing. The streets were safe, people enjoyed open air music festivals without any political correctness. It's simply about the music. Saw Al Jarreau at Midtown Music festival years ago. That was something! From a real estate perspective, the developers are making Atlanta like a little New York City where highrise condominiums are popping up EVERYWHERE!!!!! Where are all these people going to come from, what values are they bringing with them, and how is that impacting our already overcrowded highway systems??????? I used to live in Midtown/Buckhead area and the old Mom and Pop stores/restaurants are gone!!! In their places are these hi-rise condominiums!!!!!! Atlanta Georgia will be overrun with people. Just because New York City has a lot of people doesn't make it a nice, safe, enjoyable place to live. I see Atlanta transitioning into a dumpster fire like NYC.
Mayor Dickens is changing Atlanta is so many positives ways by addressing homelessness and affordable housing issues to start. No development can happen without funds included to address these issues.
He better address the crime or he'll find Buckhead forming their own city. Sandy springs and Brookhaven used to be part of city of Atlanta and they took their money and said see ya. Atlanta will turn into Chicago without our tax dollars. Just another democrat sh*thole if it weren't for that money propping it up.
1) Thank you for your respectful way of talking about the black population 2) Yeah, I think while Atlanta has some good food, they are not to the level of Chicago or a few other foodie cities
I like your take on the article. As a Realtor myself born in NY and raised in FLA I love what Atlanta has to offer.I like that we experience changing seasons, also to me, Atlanta is a happy medium of NY and FLA. I consider metro Atlanta every county defined in the bankruptcy Northern District. Your take on Black topics were respectful and accurate. This city would definitely be the best to me, if the crime and traffic was better and although I'm not a fan of the beach, I know many of my FLA friends miss that.
You absolutely should use the MSA data as this is the population that uses Atlanta as their anchor for business, entertainment, etc. If you ignore that, you’ll be shocked how massive the in town traffic is.
You are considered a part of a metro area if there is a statistical amount of people who commute to and from Atlanta. Yes, there is a statistical amount of commuters from Pickens County, even as far away as South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama that take the trip 3 or more days out of the week. That makes Atlanta the second most populated metro in the Southeast behind DC.
I agree with @Alexis Turner. Thank you for such a well though out, responsible, and candid summary of where this article was accurate and... not so much. 🤣Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, and having lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area (aka the Metroplex), and now the Atlanta area (aka Atlanta Metro via Gwinnett County) you nailed the "real story" of why people are drawn to, and choose to live here. Well done!
@@joeappaya That's a great question and one that's difficult to answer without knowing what you're specifically looking for. Feel free to reply and let me know. In the meantime, here's what they have in common: An exploding population (leading to greater diversity - people from EVERYWHERE are flocking to both areas), rising costs of living as a result. Where they differ: DFW's department of transportation is doing a better job of planning as far as road expansions and getting ahead of the growing pop. Atlanta not so much. DFW is also attracting more corporations to move there, which is great for the job market. But ATL's job market has been established for a while. No state tax in DFW. I'm a "tree" person so love the winding roads flanked by pine trees that ATL has.
Don't speak on subjects you have no clue about...gun violence has no correlation to having a permit but based more on gangs and drugs by a group that makes up 95% of gun violent crime. Just look at other democratic cities that force permits...crime is actually higher, and just so you understand, in order to buy a gun, one must pass a back ground check in Georgia. Just don't make stupid comments.
Settle down Jeff. I said I would prefer to live in a city where you need to have a permit to own a gun and I stand by that. That's my personal preference and doesn't include whatever political argument your projecting onto it. Part of the reason our country is so politically divided is that we can't have simple discourse on important topics without insulting one another.
I lived there from 1984 to April 2021. Was so ready to get out, crime in Midtown, Old Fourth Ward and Buckhead is bad. So glad I had many good years there, but I don’t like it anymore. Lots of angry drivers and people.
Yeah indeed. We're in Buckhead and can't wait to get out . Plan to move to a more rural setting. 50 years here and it has been totally ruined. Thanks to kesha Lance bottoms allowing criminals to have a revolving door. They get arrested and right back out on the streets . We never used to have crime. Last year our 77 year old neighbor was murdered. 2 teens robbed him after following him home from the atm up the street. All over$100 . We were hoping Buckhead would be able to secede from the city of Atlanta. The city uses our tax money yet we get no benefits. I was looking forward to having our own police force.
As another Atlanta resident I'd say it feels like about two million. I'm ITP in the North Lake area. My life is about equally ITP focused, mostly down to Druid Hill and North to Chamblee, and OTP focused to Tucker and up towards both Duluth and Dunwoody. So while the whole Metro is a bit much to include population wise, I think the close OTP communities are integrated into the ITP world.
Excellent review and I agree with your points. But it needs to be said, culture is thug culture. Crime is off the chain, everyone should be warned. It used to be awesome until like 3 years ago. It would be a dream city if safe.
Don't move here. Crime is insane...50 years here in town and we never had a problem until the ex mayor got rid of bail . Now it's a free for all even in the nice residential areas. Our 77 year old neighbor was shot and killed by 2 teens over$100. They were scoping out vulnerable people at the ATM. Followed him home and robbed him and shot him. He lived 77 years just to end up dying in a senseless murder. Theft and shootings everyday and we live in Buckhead. Screw this. I want to move ASAP to North Georgia. Let the animals have at it if they keep voting the garbage into office.
City definitely has 550,000+ people, based on 10000+, 7 years old, or less, housing units just in Old 4th Ward, along the Beltline. Have lived nearby for 45 years, and our population has exceeded 600,000.
I would prefer that they not advertise this fact. I was born and raised in Atlanta and frankly too many people are moving here making the city overcrowded and the traffic insufferable. I'm considering moving out of my own city. They need to put a sign up that says we full and can't take anymore. Atlanta was a small country town that was never meant to accommodate over 6 million people. IJS
You must be joking! I lived in Atlanta for 35 years. It was fun at 40, when I arrived, but by 50 or 55 - it was a lot less fun. It's an aggressive, ugly city. Angry drivers and racial disharmony. At 70, we moved to St Augustine, and love it. Everyone seems so happy! Dealing with the DMV, trash collectors... anyone. They have all been happy and helpful. Checking out at Target, the cashier was trading recipes with my wife. I don't remember any of this in Atlanta! And so far, the far right politics down here have not come up, or been an issue. Of course, we've mostly kept our mouths shut...
@@SilentGamex, I would not say that it is the worse place to live, but for those who are constantly being harassed by the police, like my family, it can be an harassing experience trying to live a normal life. You cannot be normal in a city full of harassing and gang stalking police and their buddies in crime at fire and rescue. I will say that it seems to have some of the worse cases of harassment by bad cops, especially in Gwinnett, , DeKalb and Douglas Counties. This maybe partially why crime is so bad. How can you have time to police, and fight crime if you yourself is participating in unlawful conduct? Gail McBride.
Sounds like you just got old and do what old people do, move to retirement communities in Florida. Of course St. Augustine is going to be a much different experience than any urban city environment.
Atlanta is experiencing various development projects regarding certain districts being revitalized such as Summer hill Atlanta, The works in upper west side, and the interlock shopping.
I'm from Atlanta born and raised you did a really good job on the break down of this article. Whoever wrote it didn't spend any good amount of time here and your points were solid and valid based on your experience living here for 14 years. What I will tell you about the culture of Atlanta now is "progression" . We are the "City to busy to hate". The problem is a lot of things I grew up doing are not here anymore or were torn down to make way for something else. Our growth hurts the old culture that Atlanta had. There is an expression that we Atlantans or "Atliens" say and that is "Old Atlanta". Atlanta changed forever after the Olympics. We definitely had our own culture down here and it's hard to explain to those who weren't here before and witnessed the change. I love this city and love to see the progress however it will be sometime before we have a steady culture like Chicago becasue of our steadfast growth. With all that being said I do believe it's the best city in America, but I'm biased of course lol. Great content
I'm a GA Baptist Hospital baby, lived in Atlanta for 54 yrs and I am looking to move within the next few months. I will not go outside after dark because of the crime. I always thought Buckhead was a safe area, not anymore, I don't go shopping or to any of the restaurants anymore, it's just not safe. You can get shot just by sitting outside eating!
Same here . About to be 54. We live over by Piedmont hospital and the crime is off the charts . Atlanta is awful now. Our plan is to sell soon and move to a more rural area.
LMAO, I live here and this bad. Traffic everywhere, no matter the time of day. Homeless everywhere down town, corrupt cops, etc. Been here for 30 years btw "need a permit to own a gun" It's all the gang banger we got from Ny, Ca and new orleans after hurricane katrina. I only started carrying when I kept seeing more CA & NY license plates. That's why the crime really started to get bad.

I live in Atlanta. It's fine, but there's no way it's the best place in the country to live. There are pros and cons. I guess the pros must've been everything that the author is all about. It was a lot better 20 years ago. It gets worse as more people move here every year. I'm from Florida and there's cities all over Florida that are better in every way.

NO WAY!!!!!!!! Crime, cost, traffic, racism, poor schools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can have it! Southern hospitality is a myth. I find mid western and Northerners are much more friendly. Way more!
Just remember, however much they got wrong, they got wrong about the other places they ranked high in the past and future. I lived in a place that was constantly praised in travel and leisure mags and I never agreed with the praise.
Truist park has an atlanta address, so yes, Atlanta has a baseball team. and as someone who grew up in Cherokee, I definitely spent a ton of time(at least twice a week) going into the city, the metro population counts.
No thank you! We have a problem with population rates growing faster than capacity and resources to provide for the rapid growth. The infrastructure is reaching its limit.
I got all hyped at the opening. Level heads prevailed, though. Still a very nice sentiment probably stoked by an editor who has property here. All in the schnitzel… I love Atlanta.
Wow, you should be careful. Lol using poor people and black people in the same sentence. Why wouldn’t you just say poor people? In YOUR mind poor people are black, therefore you use the terms interchangeably. Please find a way to stop thinking like this, you’re only making it worse. We’re ALL PEOPLE. Gods People
Great video, good points and opinions. I will disagree with you on the gun stance, I’m glad we’re a constitutional carry state. Keep up the good work, stay up!
Ugh if you make $80K and above then it is a great place to live. It is currently unaffordable to middle class people and below. Unless the rent and property prices are adjusted soon then there will be a mass exodus of working class people to other cities with better housing and public transit. The greater Atlanta Metro has millions of people, and the commute sucks. The local government has made the Pass lanes for people who pay a fee to ride in a lane with less traffic, while the majority want an expanded public tranist to make getting around easier. The Suburbs view places inside the city as chic attractive places to go on the weekend or a cesspool of crime and liberals. Things are changing, but until the city commits to become an urban center it will stuck being in a small city mentality.
Great opportunities if you are skilled, self motivated, and consistent. However, I miss the good food from Louisiana (born and partially raised) and Houston TX (partially raised and experienced some adulthood). Atlanta need to get their food restaurants together. You have to search high, low, and in between to find a decent place that will get your taste buds popping. I'm only here to evolve my business, otherwise I wouldn't want to live here anymore. Atlanta is no longer Atlanta. They are building more, but it's not valuable here like it use to be (culture-wise). Once I get my business where I need it to be, I'm going to divide my living space to another state.
Very fair assessment. Crime is over-reported thru social media. Violent crime is primarily in certain parts of the city. All areas experience crime but social media makes it all happening in your neighborhood. Corporate gentrification is rampant and destructive. Public education is great for students who are motivated and have parents who are similarly motivated. Unmentioned, and to me and the source of its greatest appeal, is its neighborhoods. Most neighborhoods have commercial centers which because of land availability are small scale. They will never be redeveloped into characterless monoliths. Cafes etc have thrived, and only the PHE interrupted their chain of operation. By and large, a great place to live. All private cars which reside outside the perimeter should pay an access charge to enter ala London and proposed in NYC. Take MARTA and figure it out, or pay for access.
I totally disagree with Atlanta being the best place to live in the U.S. I'm a Black American and I grew up in Decatur which is a suburb of Atlanta. Atlanta has become overwhelmingly populated and it has a lot of homelessness. It hasn't gotten bad like Los Angeles or San Francisco but it may get there in the future. The diverse economy is the biggest pro living here for sure but the crime and traffic has gotten bad and sex trafficking and sexually transmitted diseases are prevalent in the city. They don't talk about that. The school system is bad as he mentioned. You got to have money to live comfortably in Atlanta for sure. Many people that don't make a lot of money have been priced out and live way on the outskirts of the city. Anybody that plans to move to Atlanta just do your research and weigh the pros and cons. Your criteria may be different when choosing a place to live.
@@LivinginAtlantaTeam Lol Where's the critique? Youre a realtor, it's a fact, not critique. Your remark is pretty lazy on the other hand. Get the sand out your panties
No no no no. I have been living here since 1987. Since then no infrastructure or highways built. Single lanes instead of highways. I am stuck due to work and can’t leave. As soon as I can I will be the first to move to country side outside Washington DC. Downtown is a mess.
Why are you giving such attention to one particular race? That sort of defeats purpose of diversity which means multiple races. How are the other races doing? That doesn’t get talked about as much. I’m from Atlanta and love that we are diverse. I don’t subscribe to the black exceptionalism so prevalent in Woke society since 2020.
Atl and Georgia period is getting crazy. Too many damn people are moving here. They are tearing down trees and keep building and building houses and apartments everywhere. It’s not getting good. Soon not gonna have any damn land. Plus senoia is the best place to live in Georgia.

This is the problem with gentrification. You came from another state and decided to redefine Atlanta. And, you referred to a song made by a native as a stupid song about the city. I followed your page for local real estate but you crossed the line.
Iam , I can't redefine Atlanta. No one person can define a city. If crossing the line is calling out that silly song, all I can say is that's an odd boundary to have. Also if you think the problem with gentrification is one person offering his opinions on Atlanta, I don't think you have your priorities in line.
Iam, truth is Atlanta is now moving towards the high income native. This city could care less for its mid to low income citizens. Especially its homeless population. Covid opened the door to tripling the price of everything and this city is all for the cash grab. Ignoring the populace that made this city what it is. This city is not a black city anymore, it's for realtors like this guy coupling blacks and poor people together but acting like he gives a damn while wanting to sell half a million dollar homes that were once 150k two years ago. The city sold out bro
I am bewildered by the assertion that ATL is the best place to live in the US. The traffic congestion is the worst I have ever seen. There have been instances in which I was in the left turn lane and while making my turn left the car in back of me passed me on the left. You can also be traveling down an interstate at highway speeds and suddenly the car in front of you is stopped.
Metro Atlanta is practical in my opinion bc most people commute from these areas into the perimeter creating traffic of a much higher population - what are you even referring to when you state food isn’t near by- how close does a store need to be 🤦♀️ - food is fantastic here - he must not leave the one square block he lives in- horrible video seems based on other writers articles and not experience. Businesses are moving here bc the taxes are not insanely high - Hollywood is a huge driving force here not just tech- also you only to describe diversity as black Americans excluding Hispanics, Indians … just awful review. Crime is ridiculously high- especially south metro

I disagree about the food scene. Buford Highway some of the best diverse food. Then you go up to Gwinnett County and some of the best Asian food around. Lots of delicious African food as well around the city.
Yes I mention Buford Highway in many videos! It's the ITP food scene I am critical of.
Buford Hwy. and Gwinnett county does have a ton of diverse food options but Atlanta MSA overall is a little underwhelming when compared to other major cities. Don’t get e wrong.m, there’s some good food staples in Atlanta. Some spots I actually miss but I think the problem w/ Atlanta is the fact it’s too many mediocre to bland spots ITP.
A lot of the food places sucks here. I have to travel far to get decent food.
AND JAMAICAN FOOD
Real Talk...I'm a fellow REALTOR that's born and raised in Atlanta. I have seen all the major changes and growth over the years. I have traveled to most of the major cities in the U.S. Thus, Atlanta has it challenges like other major cities. However, pound for pound I would have to agree with the article. Atlanta always has been and will continue to be a progressive city... ( Not bad for a southern city that was rebuilt from the ashes of the Civil War)
That's all fine unless they get politically progressive and politically diversed this is the South after all
💯%
Stop overselling properties and it will continue to be great.
Ohhhhhh so your the one who’s causing gentrification😂😂😂😂
@@beeamerica5024 progress is the goal
Atlanta native here: A realistic view of metro Atlanta - the nearer cities and counties - places Atlanta at about 5 to 6 million people. Another thing to take into consideration about the City of Atlanta proper is that although it may have only half a million residents, on any given day there are several times that many people IN the city, whether working or visiting, who do not live there.
Great point. At the end of the day, if droves of people are headed into the city proper or the perimeter to work, they must be counted. Because you have to deal with the traffic of "visitors" (myself included) to get back home. 🙂
Same with Manhattan. Pre pandemic only 1.5M people lived on Manhattan but there would be 10M on the island due to workers coming from the boroughs.
Tourists, convention attendees and college student probably bump the city above 2M on a weekday.
The traffic is a beast around the parameter . Oddly inside the city of Atlanta traffic is very mild.
Yep! I sit in traffic at i75s for 40 minutes just to drive 5 min to work when I’m actually in the city. 😩
🌱 I'm originally from Northern California, and I've been here East of Atlanta for several years now. Your Commentary is the Most Accurate I've found. 🍃
I’ve lived in Atlanta for 2 years. Your analysis is 100% accurate. 😂@ the shot at the food scene.
Our black businesses were so prosperous in Atlantas early days that the klan got jealous and ran the
Blacks off of Peachtree and other areas, but we just went around the corner to Auburn Ave etc!
Thank you for sharing!
Agreed
True
100 percent true. I've lived here 50 years. Can't wait to move away. Living in town is like a war zone. Criminals everywhere
Mayor Dickens is changing Atlanta is so many positives ways by addressing homelessness and affordable housing issues to start. No development can happen without funds included to address these issues.
Awesome 👏🏾
He better address the crime or he'll find Buckhead forming their own city. Sandy springs and Brookhaven used to be part of city of Atlanta and they took their money and said see ya.
Atlanta will turn into Chicago without our tax dollars.
Just another democrat sh*thole if it weren't for that money propping it up.
about time!
Such honest commentary.
1) Thank you for your respectful way of talking about the black population
2) Yeah, I think while Atlanta has some good food, they are not to the level of Chicago or a few other foodie cities
Could you do a video on best up and coming areas that are still affordable?
Will do.
DC is not the southeast lmao
@@richarda.w.4562 It is south of the Mason Dixon line. Definitely the South and about as far east as you can go. LMAO.
DC is not culturally southern it’s not 1865
I agree with @Alexis Turner. Well done!
Thanks so much!
I concur. Great analysis. By the way, I am in Gwinnett too, but graduated from elementary and high school in the city of Atlantic, Gail McBride.
Is Metro Atlanta better to live in than DFW? I am trying to decide whether to move to DFW or Atlanta. Thanks!
I love living I'm GA I am 30 Mins outside of the city and its amazing 👏🏾 🙌🏾
Don't speak on subjects you have no clue about...gun violence has no correlation to having a permit but based more on gangs and drugs by a group that makes up 95% of gun violent crime. Just look at other democratic cities that force permits...crime is actually higher, and just so you understand, in order to buy a gun, one must pass a back ground check in Georgia. Just don't make stupid comments.
gun violence is more prevalent in Red states.
Money Magazine names Atlanta as the best place to live. God help us all.
JUST STOP IT! EVERY CITY IN AMERICA HAS CRIME, AND ATLANTA IS A NICE CITY!!
That's wild because crime in crime spikes. Atlanta was way higher in the 80s and early 90s then now, far worse than even the recent crime spikes.
Thank you for keeping it 💯 The crime there is a deal breaker. My aunts lives there and I would probably say no to a visit. I can’t do thug life!
Agreed. You hardly can't go anywhere without worrying about your car getting broken into. It's terrible.
@@Betsy.Ross76 I hear ya’ sister. Run for your life!
Atlanta was great before the Olympics ruined it in 1996 and after that it started going downhill. Now it's the New York of the South.
I would consider the insane traffic with added gunfire as a deal breaker for quality of life.
Terrible drivers to many accidents and rent is to high!
Wow, I did not know that Atlanta's population population was $500,000
City definitely has 550,000+ people, based on 10000+, 7 years old, or less, housing units just in Old 4th Ward, along the Beltline. Have lived nearby for 45 years, and our population has exceeded 600,000.
so on point with your take.
Thank you!
Moving from Maine to Monticello, GA, I am so happy to find your channel in my suggestions. My husband and I will be watching your videos.
Beautiful town.
IJS
Atlanta is a great place to live if someone's paying you to live there.
Huh
That’s everywhere lol
I agree drivers not even showing a signals while driving they just cutting in front. Atlanta is one of the worst places in USA

Same here . About to be 54. We live over by Piedmont hospital and the crime is off the charts . Atlanta is awful now. Our plan is to sell soon and move to a more rural area.

No thank you! We have a problem with population rates growing faster than capacity and resources to provide for the rapid growth. The infrastructure is reaching its limit.

Wow, you should be careful. Lol using poor people and black people in the same sentence. Why wouldn’t you just say poor people?
Stop telling these outsiders to move in!
You told no lies

Hush, y'all! Don't spill about how awesome it is to live here! We don't need the traffic on 285.

Why are you giving such attention to one particular race? That sort of defeats purpose of diversity which means multiple races. How are the other races doing? That doesn’t get talked about as much. Iam , I can't redefine Atlanta. No one person can define a city. If crossing the line is calling out that silly song, all I can say is that's an odd boundary to have. Also if you think the problem with gentrification is one person offering his opinions on Atlanta, I don't think you have your priorities in line.

You can also be traveling down an interstate at highway speeds and suddenly the car in front of you is stopped.
It's really not that bad. Have you lived in Chicago, New York or Los Angeles?
Well it's a lot more expensive than it used to be because of all the outsiders. Also more ghetto. Nowhere is safe
mmm, no
Nope! Stop moving to Atlanta, WE FULL! The gentrification is skyrocketing housing and pushing people like me out of the city so DON’T!
Traffic.....whew
Atlanta has great food sorry rival with chicago….
Been here since 1998… Atlanta the best place to live. Ummmm… no.
