I lived there once upon a time and was called "A Yankee gal!" by "someone" much older than me. Needles to say, I high tailed it outta there! 😂 back up North. You need to visit a place for around two weeks and go places outside of tourist spots to TRULY access if it's a good fit for your vibe. Good video Marc! Bad school lunch is a red flag for the deep south lol 😂 I'm from Detroit and back in the day our school lunch was DELICIOUS! Kids need to be able to eat quality school lunch! Re access to nature: in NY you can take metro north from grand central to cold spring or other mountain trails in about an hour. No car needed and no traffic.

It isn’t what is wealthy now… it is what it will be in the future. I’ve watched Atlanta grow for 60 years and yes, it is changing every year. Brookhaven is what Buckhead was 40 years ago. I’ve seen East DeKalb go from nice $300,000 homes… to homes worth $100,000. Careful where you buy, or what you think is nice… unless you plan on leaving in a few years.

If people could afford it nobody would leave NYC!! Its the most culturally diverse city, some of the best restaurants, museums and institutions in the world. Beautiful parks and historic buildings and neighborhoods, fast pace, exciting, open 24hrs and is beautifully gritty!!

4\2024. Truth . I love in lawrenceville over 35 years . in the city Its gunshots heard constantly. Extremely over crowded. Schools go on lock down all the time . kids shot and killed at the bus stop Most houses are owned by large corporations . drive by shootings. Millions of huge dogs pit bull and rot . that's all . woman are not safe alone at all . and don't go out at night 2or three cars in the yard . the schools omg awful . school shooting and homeless tarp city's . they have ruined lawrenceville. The amplifier theater is nice but the rest has gone to shit . you can look up the crime and rapes . its downtown Atlanta and dekalb rolled into one now . It will be all rental from corporations soon . guess thas t a what the city wants . the property taxes are for a starter home between County and city 5k . the government sold lawrenceville out . To the corporate. Can't take a lunch at work cause it takes over a hour . good luck if you move here .. Frankly I'm leaving . can't go anywhere alone if your a woman . don't go at night . Kroger and Wal-Mart well they are nasty .. Go look for yourself. Do your research. Its turned into a shot hole

We have about three thousand rentals coming online in Gainesville Georgia. We are an hour from central Atlanta. Road Atlanta is nearby and lake Lanier is steps from our house. Two universities and a million square foot level one trauma hospital. Rent for a one bedroom is $1400.

As an Atlanta local with properties in South Downtown and Lawrenceville, this is very accurate. Great explanation video. Hoping Centennial Yards changes things in South Downtown.

Lakewood Heights is a diamond in a rough it’s still transitioning but it’s only 1 mile from the Southside Beltline with multiple access points, The Sawtell Mix/Use project and Chosewood Park, ideal for first time homebuyers, my wife and I have been here for 6 years now, Oakland City, East Atlanta, Hunter Hills and Kirkwood are good comps
