About “Roll The Replay!”/ My History with Rollers
Since Splatoon 1, I have always found such a fascination with the Splat Roller Weapon Class! I enjoyed watching, learning, and analyzing top players that used a Roller. Some famous ones from the top of my head back in Splatoon 1 were Brian, Samura1man, and Sorapol with Carbon, Dynamo, and Krak-On Splat Roller respectively. I would come to try competitive Splatoon for a few years using Roller until it didn’t really fit my team's composition due to our team having too many slayer weapons and I felt as though I was holding the team back by not picking a shooter or paint support weapon. Fast forward to Splatoon 2 and I take a competitive break from the game. However, I would come back every once in a while for one weapon in particular… The Flingza Roller! There was something about being able to use horizontal flicks like Splat 1 and the HUGE PAINT HITBOX of the vertical flick where I would fall in love with Rollers once again!
I was never able to bring myself to attempt competitive Splatoon to this day but my goal for now is to push EVERY ROLLER to their absolute limits and be able to say I am one of, if not THE greatest roller flex players! So with all that being said, I wanted to showcase some replays of this long journey in hopes of three things:
1) I can look back and be proud of my performances
2) Find how I can improve with every replay
3) Inspire anyone who has ever had big goals to keep going and know that their best is always enough!
