yeah, EA is a garbage company. once upon a time back in the glory days of Bioware they were an ok company but since then it has become the greediest company in gaming. maybe even entertainment as a whole. they recycle the same game every year and then they change the UI a little bit, change an animation or 2 and call it a brand new game. its total b.s.
so annoying. especially since the sims 4 was released almost 10 years ago. like how do yall not have more done LOL im just impatient i guess
fr it's like every update for the sims 4 is a 50$ game pack that adds chairs that nobody asked for

I want to add nurodivergent sims, I feel like sense so many kids play the game a good way to spare their classmates from all the bullying would be to implement people like them into the game.

Plus cars, weddings, shopping malls, hospitals, etc.

@@RedTime101 They should have separate Character Traits (family person, perfectionist, etc) AND body traits or something (lactose intolerant, allergies, bipolar and things like that).
And then ideally in the menu where you can choose whether your sim can give birth etc, you should be able to choose things like wheelchair, crutches or walker user.

There are plenty of pretty games on Mobile AND PC... even console...
but most of the time... if they're not split by different code for the platform.. they are really secretly simple and jank.
Like poop that's been painted pretty... and modern game technology lets mostly anything get a pretty coat of paint fairly easily... even when it's inherently not pretty...

It'll be even worse than Sims 4, I can feel it.
We can only stick to Sims 2 and 3 and hope Paralives and Life by You (coming in September btw) deliver the way the Sims could have delivered if EA wasn't so focused on getting money instead of making a good game.

The townies will probably just burst into a mob of bats and teleport away,
or get down on all fours and piss the ground and then proceed to howl, rage, and break everything in sight.
Or completely lose interest in what you're doing because a celebrity spawned in and now they want to scream and pass out on the floor instead.
Idk, just my personal experience with townies in the Sims 4.

It would be amazing if they updated cats and dogs to work with this pack so dogs can herd farm animals and cats can be barn cats, teaching dogs how to herd and cats hunting mice

They made a small effort with Werewolves interacting with dogs, but they're not complicated animations. Who knows. I hope there's something even if it's small.

Who else noticed, in the scene with the pill shaped 'people' walking around, the buildings were titled, Bistro, Bar, and Dive Bar. They have upped the 'must have a bar in every city' trope.
Did you also notice apartments above the bar and shops? I can’t believe simsie didn’t notice or comment. That would be awesome!

The developers are still concentrating on sim development rather than town builds. We want to create our world, build our hospitals, place lots where we want to…. More like sims 3.

@@mollyblower3868Barrel racing isn't inherently cruel. I'd hope they did their research on how to represent it in a way that does not encourage abuse to the horses.
@@spibow I don't think any kids would look at horses running around barrels and think, I'm going to go abuse horses having my horse run around some barrels. To be fair I don't know a lot about horse training, but I feel like running around objects is more enriching than abusive. I'd argue leaving your horse cooped up is more abusive.

@@spibow the community is very abusive going to one good farm and watching good videos doesn't mean that every barrel racer and other sport isn't abusive alot of barrel and western riders are abusive the rodiods kill horses the barrel racing encourages injuries for them to become lame and put down

Mersea is brilliant. The Sims team have been working so hard on horses it seems like and it must be amazing to see it finally come out.
I actually teared up about the horses. as a horse girl, horses genuinely mean so much to me and made up 90% of my childhood and I adore that they actually took the time to research and even VISIT an actual farm to do them properly. and I loved how they touched on the toxicity of "breaking" horses and how its about being a partner with them rather than being an owner. I seriously can't wait for this
Horses being announced for the sims 4 awoke the horse girl inside of me I thought died a long time ago I was literally obsessed with horses when I was younger so now as soon as this pack comes out I’m going full “if I can’t have it irl at least I can have it in the sims”
Im excited for the goth, medieval kit and ranch pack....i think the sims team are hinting at the Caliente "Alien" backstory thats probably why we got the Caliente "new look" because Katrina is cloned haha, 👽so im hoping for a future Alien pack and more of Bella goth back story in the sims 4 especially as they're the orginal characters...i just want more Alien stuff 👽
I feel like it would be so fascinating if they documented the entire process of creating Project Rene and released it as a documentary/docuseries after the game comes out. The Sims is a widely loved series even by people who haven't really played any other games, so I feel like a lot of people would be interested in seeing it.

When you were looking at the prototype, I think it’s super interesting that the buildings had labels like “office 3” on top of “dive bar”. That’d be a wildly different kind of neighborhood as far as I know.
Maybe office 3 is where the drug dealer boss works.
I think you're reading too much into it. This doesn't represent the real world that makes it into the game later. It could also just be a blueprint that they insert. I don't believe they creating multifunctional buildings. Be prepared for a lot of rabit holes again
Those Phone hints give me a strong feeling we get back those old placable house phones back from the other games. I really look forward to it bc I really missed them in sims 4

I think them allowing us to see how things get done and the process it takes to create the sims help us be more patient and understanding. Let’s be honest some of us can be really impatient.

What’s so funny to me is that there is literally no actual purple hair color. Even after the haircolor refresh, we still never got a purple hair.
I know right? There's only pale pink which is the closes to purple and it annoys me. I have to use part-dyed hair to use purple hair. And it's not even fully purple
Trotting on a horse is the worst, galloping is kind of scary but is much smoother, the skill is learning to deal with the jolt involved. Walking is very easy and doesn't require skill. My favorite memory is playing "bite the hand" with the horse we had. He was very temperamental, one time I was riding him on the side of a road and he took off and jumped a pit with pipes and stuff in it, I remember looking down, we landed ok but it was scary. Another time I was riding with a friend and he took off galloping down an orchard lane with low branches.
I think they’re hinting at a future or time travel expansion! Especially with the cloning comment

I hope they bring back some of that iconic pop culture Bustin’ Out energy and Sims 2’s wacky story in Sims 5. I’d also LOVE a third person camera control like Sims 2 PSP! W, A, S, D movement!
landlines are one of my absolute top things ive been wanting so this entire video has me throwing a toddler tantrum. I NEED IT. also project renee footage actually did have some huge hints in it. the image with the sim behaviour showed stuff like “office 1” “office 2” above a “dive bar”, meaning the team seems to have *intentions* of perhaps having more explorable insides of buildings. or have sims jobs be actually located in buildings, doesnt mean theyll have the time n funds to do it but im loving seeing their approach and passion! it feels quite promising to me (especially bc sims 4 was never meant to be sims 4, and they were likely forced to make it into the next installment of the main series to recoup frim sim city. disaster n theyve had to make do since). i also love how they spoke about renee animations, because they can likely save a lit if time and funds by making animations look more readable. it doesnt mean theyll be bad, in contrary couuld mean the opposite. feels like they may be wanting ti take feedback as they go, as well. overall really happy!

OMG yes. I have a very specific 'castle' build I've been working on and it's a nightmare sometimes finding the right things to make it feel right. The worst. The WORST is trying to match walls, foundations, floors, and fences (for parapets). I don't even care so much about the floors matching, just let me match my foundations, walls, and parapets. Please.

i rlly love the idea of katrina being a clone of the girls bc to me that makes so much sense considering the type of people they are and their lineage. BUT I THINK IT’S INTERESTING bc they say the sims 4 is on an alt timeline which means the story for nina and dina would be Different bc all the other stories are different. so why do they need a new mom? i’m proposing that they traveled into the sims 4 timeline, which is why their birth mother is still out of the picture bc why would they feel the need to mention their birth mothers death from the sims 2??? Not necessarily. There are lots of games that cross platforms and do it well. For example, Minecraft and Stardew Valley. I feel like it can absolutely work.
The sims 5 is years away they have plenty of time to make the game look amazing on phone and pc they can frame cap for phone to help the visuals ro cross over well similar to pc and console coss play. I think you need to chill and just wait until we get more info which you won't know anything until its being announced for release until then we will get hints and that's it
@@danitho Stardew is extremely simple when it comes to the rendering and memory required and in general has waaay fewer components. Very different from Sims in terms of computer power needed. But tech advances quickly, so I'm optimistic
@@andien8760 That's true. But Minecraft is far less simple. Mojang offers a version that is different than the PC one, which is probably what Maxis/EA will do. But I think you've underestimated Stardew Valley. It took the developer years to get the lastest update to mobile players because of a lot of issues. Any full game intended for PC will have it's complexities when bringing it to mobile…for now. As you said, with the advancements made in technology, a lot of amazing things has been possible. Call of Duty on mobile is another example of a mobile game that is insanely complex but achievable.
@@danitho I would argue a better comparison is genshin impact. it's an amazingly beautiful game that works on both phones and computers and I think consoles too but I might be wrong. I hope they take inspiration from games like that instead of making it look like another Sims freeplay. To be fair its years in the making and who knows how games will look then.

Ok so… horses being added to the game is beyond exciting! But does that mean that they are going to take up family slots? Because what if I want to make a family that has a lot of kids and pets? I really think they should have a separate section for pets and sims so that I can make the big family horse ranch of my dreams…
It does look like they take up family slots like cats and dogs do, which is kinda upsetting because i LOVE big families with lots of pets

I love big families in the sims, especially multiple pets! Honestly i reckon anything you cant play as (aka the pets) shouldn’t be grouped with sims, especially with so many options with pets now
Seeing the protype of how the sims go by day to day in project rene, it gives me hope that its going to be kind of open world? if they are working on getting the neighbourhood to be more alive (thank goodness). If it's not an open world, it looks like it would at least be open neighbourhood. Im exicted to see where it goes! I just really hope it's not microtransaction city
As an animal lover and someone that grew up with a few horses I'm excited for horses! I can't wait to recreate my horses. I haven't played in a while but I'll make time to play when this comes out for sure!

after what is shown i'm excited to see the new content in its finished form because i am so interested in 3d models, animations and environment and game design in general, but i don't know if i will like playing this stuff itself anymore. the horses so far make me really happy, the way they talk about them and seeing the animations. i just hope that they didn't just about showed everything they gonna put in to make it seem a lot with more to come rather than it truly being a snippet of what the community will get.
This is all super exciting and I can’t wait to see how the pack turns out. I will definitely be watching for funny bugs too 😂

Yesss. I don’t just want landlines introduced I want cell phones ELIMINATED. Make the sims exist in a parallel universe where cell/mobile phones were never invented. You can do stuff like that in games and it would make the gameplay so much better again I think! Especially the removal of smart phone features

I'm really excited for horses now!! I really love the bonding and training element of it. c: I initially thought I'd give the expansion a miss, but now I'm hyped! Also, as an artist, I can definitely attest to horses being the bane of our existences.

This is so cool. I voted for the Goth pack and the Medieval Castle one so I'm definitely getting those. I am very excited about the horse ranch pack. I love horses and had one when I was 13. I'm going to love the foals part especially because I love baby horses, they're so cute. I also love baby goats and sheep. Sims 5 will be cool I'm sure, can't wait for more info on that. I just hope it won't be too far in the future.

Sims is escapism for me, i love that theyre adding horses because the cost and time you need to spend to have them in real life is just unrealistic with my lifestyle. I can live my horse-dog-cat-farmer girl dreams through the sims now!
