Whats with all the Jazz hate? no doubt he hasnt showed up at the plate in the playoffs, but he was defiantly an asset during the RS. He's not a third basemen, we all know that. Next season he moves to second. I dont get the bating 4th either, but just in general the hate seems really to be a lot of recency bias.
RS is erased...either you step-up and walk-the-walk, or step aside ...#nxtmanup.
Boone is weakening the team by starting him, and keeping him playing w/o contributions, leaving RISP, K's, getting caught running, etc
Michael, this argument about Chisholm being in pinstripes for many years to come does NOT justify playing a slumping player in the W.S., only because he's LH and makes the alternating line-up look great. Jazz has left a bunch of RISP, even from the ALDS; he's fast but what is that good for if he doesn't get OB. How many RBI he got in the ALDS ? NOW, a solution: give him the 1st 2 AB's: he hits or gets OB, leave him in...he doesn't bench him: you do have 2 other options, a switch hitter & a RH hitter. I would say to Boone: stop playing gim like you're desperate out of options...quit conforming to starting an automatic-out current level player, just 'cause he might hit one out.
Stanton will be pitched around, betting on hitters 6 & 7 not being threats...Jazz has 6+ PS gms proving just that !!

Why is Boone using Rizzo who made errors and bad play that contributed to Yankees loss for game 3. Four game 4 Rizzo made an other critical error that cost the Guardians to tie the score . Why not use Jon Berti a good defender or Oswaldo better defense, I get Boone want him for offense, you give then it get taken
Mets fan here.. Why complain about Jazz Chiszolm batting 4th SO WHAT ! The Yankees are going to win regardless and go to the World Series especially when you have Stanton hitting Homeruns now.
Because, when Stanton starts getting pitched around, betting on other hitters being no-threats, playing him hitting 4th, 6th or 7th will weaken the team's situational hitting potential. He's being started as if we're out of options at 3B.
Jazz cannot hit right now.Every swing is elevated and looking for the fences.The guy is fast yet he does not show the bunt(except for when he sacrificed last night)and it was a good bunt.That could help get himgoing again.

I wonder if that caller who was probably high, asking fir Judge to pitch to Ohtani, meant it the other way... Because Ohtani pitching to Judge in the World Series is not a crazy thing... There was about a month ago that maybe Ohtani can pitch in the playoffs...
Next year I would try gleyber at 3rd and put oswaldo or jazz at 2nd
