I don't use a smart phone but I find display problems develop in flip phones as the cable likely wears out from opening and closing it. I now use a candy bar phone to avoid these problems
I bought the same lavender colour Flip 3 back in August of last year. It worked perfectly for about four months before it developed a line of glowing pixels down the left hand side of inner screen. It still technically works but that line makes it unusable for me. What I liked about the small outer screen was that it allowed just enough information that meant you didn't need to open the phone, it was amazing at just how much it cut down on my phone use. As much as I liked the phone I don't think folding screens are ready yet for general use. People aren't going to baby their phones in the way a folding screen requires.
I bought the s22 ultra with a screenburn for $200 from ebay from a german seller. I actually like the phone as i am just a broke student that uses only midrange devices. 10/10 definitely recommended.

As i was thinking of saving up for one of those z flips, but i think ill just try and see if i could get one of those s22 ultras refurbished, as i do tend to use my phones heavy, maybe when the technology advances ill look into one of these again.
No problem! Theyre cool devices but as someone who does have a pretty active life style, they can get a bit sketchy to own. S22 Ultra is a great choice!
@@LiamDoesTechI got my samsung galaxy z flip 3 a year ago for 280€ and it was as new and now it still works perfectly only the screen protector is kind of peeling off in the middle but the screen works perfectly fine
amazing review, i am considering starting buying second hand items as i so tired of using mid range electronics, but i think i would skip second hand folding phone for at least the next half decade. love your channel btw

Bro I had a flip 4. it suffered the same ribbon problem. Mine showed green lines when you tried folding it and went normal once you straighted up. foldable phones might be good for someone that barely uses it for 1-2 hours a day. Foldable screens do break, and they will break it's just a matter of time when they will. got mine opened up and found out can't do much about it because the soldered points of the display are damaged meaning a new display is needed. I might have had gone for the repair but considering a new display costs 400$+ dollars for a 2-generation old phone. foldables also cause ton of environmental damage if you consider how many phones are gonna end up in landfills. I tried to find a doner screen from used phones but guess what? in flip 4 90% phones end up with damaged displays other than something else. Honestly Samsung is known for fragile screens even in non-folding lineups. S22-S23 ULTRA all get lines after a software update. The phone during updates generates such level of heat the entire display gets damaged. My mother owns a Iphone 15 she rough uses the phone no cleanups like 2-4 drops every week and the screen hasnt gottten shattered or suffered interior damage. Getting good reliable displays on samsung is like a needle in a haystack in 2025
@@LiamDoesTech Although now that i'm thinking about it, someone at the company left their software suite they use to test devices on the pixel 6 i bought from there, so i had to reset it myself. no biggie though.
@@davidyt646 bro really replied three separate times instead of combining it to one single explanation. those target employees may not care. but one day it’ll bite you in the ass when employees from places try to fine you with stolen property. once you drop off a phone to recycle, it becomes that store’s property. not just yours to take.

i use a 20U with a broken oled still does its job but annoyingly touches the screen so i use a mouse lol
