I really enjoyed Convenience Store Woman 🥰 It was such an interesting way to explore societal expectations. I have her book Earthlings on my TBR. I also picked up They Never Learn based on your rating and cryptic review on Goodreads.
Yes, convenience store woman was so good! I’ve got earthlings on my TBR as well, I’ve heard it gets pretty dark which I’m looking forward to. I hope you enjoy they never learn! It was just so satisfying to me lol
Care, i recently read 'The Lost Village' by Camilla Sten. I was suprised by how good it was and also how less hyped this book is. Please add this to your TBR
OK, I'm about 100 pages into House of Leaves and I'm not sure what's going to happen. I do think they didn't break into the apartment at the beginning though. They thought it was dead because he didn't go on his walk and the apartment manager gave what's his name the key to go in... either he still had the key later or they took some stuff before it was closed off (before it was all hauled off to a second hand store). I don't trust a think in this book. Everything I see I wonder if it's real or not.... like all the blue "houses".... why WHY? Don't tell me. I just wonder was it a word replace? But they I see Haus, and a replace for house wouldn't also replace German Haus. I don't know what's going to happen! I have so much more to read. Good recommendation.
@@carolinejohnson3483 It's worse than that. I was on the echo chapter and our almost 3 year old daughter came in our room in the morning and said she could hear echoes. It's actually her yelling and the baby monitor in her room picking it up and feeding it back into our room, but still... I didn't want to hear about echoes. Then I got to the chapter that mentions the 300 Weatherby Magnum and I thought "Oh no, I have a 300 Weatherby Magnum." And we live in Virginia! And this morning, when I went into my study, I found a new door in the wall....
