Yay! I’m so glad you posted again! I missed your content! Good call on Monk. You have excellent taste lol👌 I just read the push after having it on my shelf for over a year and it was incredible (depressing and dark, but incredible)!
Yay so glad you’re back! Would highly recommend False Witness by Karin Slaughter that I see on your unread shelf. One of my favorite stand alones by her and also Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell that’s my favorite Lisa Jewell ☺️
Definitely recommend The Appeal, which is told through different formats, like email and texts and is a mystery that you try to solve along with the characters. Also, The Dream Daughter is excellent. Glad you are back. Congratulations on the move!
Yay! I've missed your videos. Definitely read Well Met by Jen DeLuca, it was one of my favorite romances of last year. It made me so soft 🥺 Grump/sunshine trope and it's set during the summer! I can't wait to get to the sequels
I see Baby Teeth, and I think you should read that ASAP. That book is THE BEST child horror book I have read (I’ve only read like, two others, The Push being one, but still).
I LOVE MONK TOO. I’ve seen every episode! Though, it wasn’t the same after Sherona left. But I had no idea there were books! I was just wondering the other day if there were any books similar to shows like monk, or psych, or Medium. I’d love to find one with a psychic crime solver! Btw, I read The Book of Cold Cases last month and LOVED it. Noticed it on your TBR pile. 💛
Great video, so glad you posted!!! As far as some of my favorites on your TBR: I LOVED In the Woods by Tana French (gave it 5*), also Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (although I do think it’s a bit overhyped tbh), and The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell was also a 5* for me! Also… I LOVE Monk!!! I have two Monk books that I haven’t read yet lol but you’ve inspired me to finally get to them!! ❤️
Gorgeous bookshelves! And well-organized - nicely done! I love Ruth Ware and Dennis Lehane. I've been meaning to read You - we've watched all 3 seasons of the TV show. We have a whole bookcase of Stephen King and Dean Koontz books that belonged to my Dad - slowly working our way through those! I read Dragonfly in Amber last summer for my annual Big Book Summer Challenge. We have A Simple Plan on our shelves. And I enjoyed Apples Never Fall on audio last year. You've inspired me! We have a bookcase in every room and most are pretty random! We do have all our TBR's on one case in our bedroom, but it now has double rows!
If you have a good relationship with your mom, I’d recommend reading the dream daughter around Mother’s Day. It has a little bit of “magic” without spoiling and it’s a sweet story about mothers and daughters.
Oooh Insomnia is my favorite Stephen King book 🥰 I’ve been reading the Ship of Theseus since the beginning of January and I’m still only about a quarter of the way through it 😅
Yes! There was a little bit of a learning curve for me with all the different names/titles/magic but the first two books are so exciting! Definitely light on the fantasy.
Read The Decagon House Murders for an And Then There We’re None retelling! It was published in Japan in 1987 and it needs more love! Reckless Girls was just meh in my opinion

I also recommend My Dark Vanessa, but be warned, it can be a SUPER heavy book at times. That being said, that was my favorite book from 2020.
I was just thinking about you the other day wondering where you had gone. So happy to see you back! ☺️

I’m glad I’m not the only one that hasn’t read Gone Girl yet😅 I highly suggest The Night She Disappeared and My Husband’s Wife!

What did you think of jade city? Would you recommend it to somebody looking to branch out from thriller/horror?
