This model looks great. it looks like the Crab Steering mode uses the same ratio for each wheelpair as for normal steering But all wheels need to steer at the same angle to work properly. Maybe you add a "toothrow" at the same steering ratio at the axles.
The crabsteering uses a 1:1 ratio for all wheels. It is just the 2 driven axles that have an issue with maintaining the right steeringlock. The two blue rubberbands are not enough to keep them aligned.
The real crane can steer each axel individually so looks like you will need to change the ratio of the axel so you get the same on all axels. Looks amazing and incredible close to the real crane. Amazing job!!!
I really hope you work out the problems you are having with this amazing model and finish it. I built the 42009XXL moc on Jurgens corner and it was the best thing I had done. But this is way more complex than that. I would buy the instructions to this when it is done. Good luck.
So I bought parts for this and I finished the carrier! I tried testing out the speed, it wouldn’t move at all! My batteries are fine but those 4 wheels have such low power, can anyone tell me why?
Thank you. Making better videos will hopefully come over time. For now I will spend most of my time and energy on improving my build instead of improving my video skills, but if you have any tips I can easily implement I'd be happy to hear them.
Jeroen Ottens Design I don’t have any experience in making videos but know it’s a big deal. Everything I’ve written is only about my opinion as a viewer, based on comparing a lot of videos from many LEGO creators. Building skills are really important but well presented model leaves a lot better impressions. For me building with technic pieces is the hardest thing, I’m better in assembling regular system bricks
I haven't checked yet which sets are the best combination to get a good headstart for the parts collection, but I don't think you'll need 3 arocs. The Arocs is good for providing wheels and some basic beams, gears & pins. But it also gives a lot of unused pieces (pneumatics, grey panels, etc.). So one Arocs will probably help, but for panels and beams I think the recent hovercraft and Mack truck are better donors. Once I have the model completed I will optimize the model to maximize the use of parts of certain (in production) models and I'll tell which models serve best as a start for the build.
Fortunately for you the AROCS already has 12 wheels (it has double wheels in the back). So you would only need one AROCS plus two forklifts to get 20 wheels (which is two too many, I know). Or you can go to bricklink.com or brickowl.com to purchase some sets of wheels directly.
42009 was actually my inspiration a couple of years back to start this project. This year I took that version and upgraded it to use the latest parts and ironed out the faults of the first version
I believe this is one of the most epic LEGO crane replicas, so impressive
Wow! This looks amazing so far!
THIS SHOULD BE THE LEGO TECHNIC 40 YEAR SPECIAL ...
Wow you are genius ! It' s amazing
thx :)
Looks gud! Especially the outriggers. Nice build
what a beautiful machine
good job bro
God of LEGO: Jeroen Ottens.
That's amazing bro
Fantastic. I'm new to Technic and not anywhere close to creating any MOCs.
Just start building. I also started (a long time ago) without any experience. It just takes time & stubborn persistence.
Wow! Top sssssserious MOC! And complex! Keep it up!

If the instructions become available, I would also be very interested!
I guess Im kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to watch new tv shows online?
@Daxton Raiden I would suggest Flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Kaiser Zander Yea, I have been watching on Flixzone for months myself =)
@Kaiser Zander thanks, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I appreciate it !!
@Daxton Raiden Happy to help :D
waiting for instruction, love this crane for a long time...
Awesome dude !!
I followed the instructions step by step, unfortunately it does not walk like in the video. any suggestions? thank you

Thanks for the encouragement. I'll keep pushing
Can you please upload the instructions when it's done? Would be awesome to build :D
Hi after 2 years I still cannot do the strings this is the only thing left to do PLEASE PLEASE HELP 🙏
Hi, just one question: this moc is building with all Original Lego Part, or with Compatiple Part
Watched video to Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer. The name of the song seemed appropriate for a construction model.
lol :)
Who the hell would dislike this?
That's cool
A dream of replica lego Modell.
Can anybody please advise on how to reeve the boom extension?
amazing

You maybe have building error
How many wheel drive is it? I could only see two diffs.
Two axles, ie 4 wheels are driven
Magic !
Is there a bricklink and instructions for this
Yes there is. Visit jeroenottens.com/shop for the instructions.
great
Great!
Good Quality?.?.?
it looks like a millatary artillary truck without the gun
Wait till you see the finished model :) It will get a huge gun...
nice
is it 200mm or 140
The front looks like Mobile Crane MKII, Am I right?
It has some similarities, but it is designed from the ground up.
song name please
You are doing great build, I’m sure it will be amazing, but I strongly recommend you to improve montage and make vids more dynamic

you need at least 3 arocs for this build, right? ^^

yes, i just counted the wheels. but the new forklift also has those. unfortunatedly i have only have tracks. should buy more sets with wheels ;)

What is the code number?
This is a model I am designing myself. There is no code number. Once it is finished I might make buildinginstructions if there is enough interest.
You are really powerful
Love if you could make more supercars for selling instructions, all recent models are not
You'll have to have some patience, but there is another supercar coming: jeroenottens.com/2018/05/06/wip-codename-silvestros/
It's wonderful! but need to make a 3d print of wheel cap.
How much?
