  • Opponents of The Promised Messiah (as) allege that He (as) first promised to write 50 volumes of Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya but wrote only 5.
    The Truth:
When The Promised Messiah (as) of Qadian decided to write Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya, he initially claimed he would write 50 volumes of this book, however, he wrote 5 volumes in total.
In Volume 21, Page 09 of Ruhani Khaza'in, the Promised Messiah (as) writes:
"The difference between 50 & 5 is a single DOT."
So what is the logic behind the absence of a single dot?
Well, this is actually the logic (Sunnah) of God Almighty which he himself applied in the past. We find in Bukhari the Hadith about how the 5 prayers were prescribed during the Me'raj of the Holy Prophet (saw) in the heavens. Initially 50 prayers were prescribed but eventually they were voted down to 5. The Holy Prophet (saw), is narrated to have said: These are 5 prayers and they're all (equal to) 50 (in reward) for my word does not change.
So in essence, the Promised Messiah (as) fulfilled his promise.
The allegation that 50 can't be 5 or a difference of a dot is not justified, isn't an allegation just on the Promised Messiah (as), rather it is an allegation against God Almighty himself!

I don't get this. How are you using the hadith on the 5 daily prayers being equal to 50 in reward to literature written by the Promised Messiah?

      Assalamo Alaikum Warahmatullah,
Sorry but your statement is wrong. It's not based on any verse of the Holy Qur'an or authentic Hadith.
The Holy Prophet (sa) was categorically mentioned in the Holy Qur'an as 'اُمِّی' (unlettered) - that was one of his special characteristics which other prophets didn't have.
In fact, it is proven that other prophets did write:
      1) In Tafseer Husseini under 25:33, it is mentioned that Hazrat Musa & Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon them both) would read and write.
      2) Regarding Hazrat Idrees (as) it is mentioned that: اَوَّلُ مَنْ خَطَّ بِالقَلَمِ اِدْرِیْسُ that he was the first to write (Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal, quoted by Imam Qurtubi in his Tafsir under [19:57]).
      3) In Tafseer al-Baidawi it is mentioned that Hazrat Musa, Hazrat Dawood & Hazrat 'Isa (peace be upon them all) used to write. [Under 25:33]
      4) Hazrat Imam Razi (rh) writes in his Tafseer-e-Kabeer: وهو أول من خط بالقلم (Idrees (as) was the first to write) [19:57] and he also writes that Hazrat Musa (as) was able to read and write the Torah. [25:33]
      5) Ibn Hisham writes in his Sirah: 'Enoch is Idris the prophet. He was the first of Adam's children to be given prophecy and the first to write with a pen.'
      6) It is written in Tafseer Majma'ul Bayan regarding Hazrat Idrees (as): وقيل: إنه سمي إدريس لكثرة درسه الكتب وهو أول من خط بالقلم (His name was Idrees because he would read many books, and he was the first to write). [19:57]
      7) Ibn Ishaq wrote that Hazrat Idrees (as) 'was the first of the sons of Adam to whom prophecy and writing with a pen were given...' (Sirah ar-Rasoolullah, pg. 3) (Ibn Kathir also quotes Ibn Ishaq regarding this.)
Inside Ahmadiyya already answered this allegation anyway:

So yes, real prophets do write. Let me know your thoughts.

One of the weakest arguments I've ever heard.
First of all, Allah was the one who was owed 50 Salaahs but He Himself reduced them to 5, if you owe me £50 and I decrease your debt to me to £5, this is my prerogative, not yours, however the false prophet Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Himself told the people he will write 50 books but later reduced them to 5, how is that in any way shape or form the same thing as the miraaj of Rasulullah SAW?
Secondly where in the hadith of the treaty of Hudaibiyah does it say that Hajj was promised the same year? The treaty of Hudaibiyah was actually a win for the Muslims, with the treaty came many benefits, so there was a wisdom for the Prophet SAW and the companions to try to go Hajj that year, which ultimately resulted in something better, the benefits are too many to state in the comment section, but you jaahil Qadianis wouldn't understand this, because you need to defend your founder no matter what, even if it means twisting and turning the Qur'an and sunnah, seerah and whatever else.
Fear the punishment of Allah, anyone who lies on Rasulullah SAW deliberately should await the hellfire. Repent Danial and co Murabbis, stop deceiving your own lay people and Muslims, you young ones still have time to get out of this cult, or maybe not, Allah can take our souls any time.

      Assalam o Alaikum,
One of the main points of this video which you may have missed is the fact that although the Promised Messiah (as) had intended to write 50 volumes, that was before he was informed by Allah the Almighty about his Messianic mission. And that changed the nature of his work and priorities. The point being made in the video is that no one can say that the Promised Messiah (as) broke his promise or didn’t deliver upon what he had intended, since he even offered a full refund to those who wanted their funds back; which for the record, he returned to those who asked for it.
The Hadith referring to the Mi’raj of the Holy Prophet (sa) and the figure of the Salaah’s being reduced from 50 to 5 was given as an example of this logic being exercised, hence, that logic cannot be refuted.
You are misquoting the video with regards to the treaty of Hudaibiyah - nowhere was it mentioned that Hajj was promised - rather it was said that the Holy Prophet (sa) set out with the ‘intention’ of offering Hajj. Please watch the video again if you have doubts. Contrary to your belief that we twist verses of the Qur’an and Ahadith - this point was made in accordance to the exact wording of a hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari:
'The Prophet (ﷺ) set out in the company of more than one thousand of his companions in the year of Al-Hudaibiya, …On that Abu Bakr said, "O Allah Apostle! You have come with the intention of visiting this House (i.e. Ka`ba) and you do not want to kill or fight anybody. So proceed to it, and whoever should stop us from it, we will fight him." On that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Proceed on, in the Name of Allah!"
      [Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 64, Hadith 220]
‘Intention’ was the exact word used in this Hadith - which was also quoted in the video. The ‘intention’ was testified to by none other than Hazrat Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (ra), and confirmed by none other than the master Prophet Muhammad (sa). Any pure hearted Muslim wouldn’t refute this.
This is what the great historian Ibn Ishaq wrote in his Sirah:
‘…his purpose was to visit the temple and to venerate it.’
[The Life of Muhammad, pg. 500]
Again, it was the purpose/intention of the Holy Prophet (sa) to perform the pilgrimage. But a change in circumstances changed the intended outcome. Starting to see how the logic of this incident applies to the allegation?
Also, we are very aware of the blessings and benefits of the treaty of Hudaibiyah. Pages and pages have been written about this in our literature so I don’t see why you are highlighting that point to us. So yes, we Ahmadi Muslims do understand this, but what I don’t understand is why you are presenting that point as if we deny the blessings and benefits.
As always, I’m always open to a respectful dialogue, so kindly let me know your thoughts on these points that I have made.
      Jazak’Allah Khayran
