    The only downside is that they don't offer the Carera S brakes on the T...if it had that option it would be just perfect I'd love it even if the regular Carera had the S brakes as an option

    Interesting conclusion. I feel the unique set of options make this the best non motorsport 911 on offer. Have spent some driving one and it backed that up. Good video!

    Great stuff. Really enjoying your videos and honesty. Nice to see a reasonable timed vid without getting carried away with the car. Totally agree with your final verdict, my money I’d do the same

    Awesome road trip, fair and balanced critique of the T, I thought, and agree with Lee that although good, the T could have been so much better!

    Subscribed. Fucking epic work. Getting into the nitty gritty of driving & package which many car youtubers gloss over. Real drivers channel. Brilliant!

    I wish you let Richard give more of his perspective on this video. I like the way he describes driving and isn't condescending.

    Watched part 1 and 2. Thanks for the great video review!
    Just two questions:
    -Some online articles say that the lightweight side/rear glass has so little sound insulation that it "sounds like the window is open". How would you say the interior noise is compared with a normal Carrera?
    -Also, another article stated that keeping the lightweight glass means you get no rear defroster; is that true?

    • @9WERKSTV
      @9WERKSTV  6 років тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback! Regards the lightweight glass, the gain in noise is very minimal compared to a standard Carrera - it certainly doesn't sound like there's a window open (you don't even get this sensation in a GT3 RS). Regards the rear defroster, I can't actually remember if this is the case or not, though your local Porsche Centre will be able to clarify this for you - unless I do so before hand!

      Thanks for the reply! Good to know, and will definitely check with my local dealer for more info.
      Your video review is one the most thorough driving experiences of the Carrera T that you can find online right now (or it could be the only one), and definitely appreciate your effort and time!

    Great video summary, am I correct in understanding that the 991.2 T has the same gearbox as the 991.1 S, however the T is simply a shorter shifter? Surely its not that simple...... if it is I know where my money is going - along with a custom short shift & shorter shifter :)

      @9WERKSTV  6 років тому

      Thank you - hope it was worth the wait! I've no problem with Miami blue whatsoever, I think it's a gorgeous colour and the car's various black and Agate grey accents break it up nicely. I'm a fan!

    • @9WERKSTV

      Thank you! As for great roads, my favourite in the UK is the B4391. Technical with plenty of fast sections, the views are mostly stunning, too!

    So its like a Carrera S with different badging?

    • @9WERKSTV
      @9WERKSTV  6 років тому

      The T is very different to the S, sure it borrows a couple of elements from the S but the T is its own car with unique features.

      NO, it’s a base 911. With a rear seat delete option. Once again Porsche screwing over their customers. Cleaver “limited editions” to rake in as much money as possible.

    What’s the ferry thing the car is riding in? Is that a ferry? Looked like a train or something.

    • @9WERKSTV
      @9WERKSTV  6 років тому +1

      It's the channel tunnel linking France to England. Meant to be quicker than the ferry but it's always running late!

    • @9WERKSTV
      @9WERKSTV  6 років тому +2

      Now there's a thought! The question is why WOULDN'T a narrow-bodied 996.2 with a few aftermarket tweaks offer a better drive?

    Bruh stop comparing it to GT3 or a 911R. WE ALL KNOW AND DON’T EXPECT IT TO BE. You’re completely missing the point of this car.

    Really bad time keeping, I drive from Caen to Barcelona in a Diesel Fiat Sidici in 10 hours 754 miles, Fail

    • @9WERKSTV
      @9WERKSTV  6 років тому +2

      You're right, terrible timekeeping on my behalf. Can we swap jobs? I've never driven a Fiat…

    • @rwg2626
      @rwg2626 6 років тому

      That Nine Eleven Guy, funny that, you should try, after a failed car jacking episode with my Mercedes in Barcelona when I came off the ferry from Menorca where I have a villa, I bought my Fiat Sidici and I drive it out at the start of the year and fly back and forth, then bring it home in October, why not buy a Spanish Car, well there are always new mountain bikes to take down, paddle boards, and a few trips with boats, never been bothered in my Camo green Fiat, it’s a 4x4 car that over delivers, for your info I lived in Jersey for 9 years and Part exchanged my Boxster for a Fiat Panda, loved the Porsche but on an island 9 X 5 and very narrow roads I had more fun driving the Panda, the fiat dealership had not had that happen before. It gives me a warm feeling when people decide about you without knowing, maybe you should buy a Fiat

    wouldn't it be great to watch a Porsche driving video just like Chris Harris videos, but without the skills, personality or video production quality

      Sounds like there could be a gap in the market, Brighty - go fill your boots!
