@Alejandro Rauberromanians are good people....the country itself is awsome: complete (from beaches to mountains we have it all) but betrayal is in our blood. In history most of our good ledeares were lost because of that. About the "mountains". There are 4 mountains on all world: Himalayan, Rockies, Alps and Capathian (obviously why: Rockies are in the American continent, while Alps, Carpathians and Himalayan are in the Euro-asian continent (Urals are purely political border cuz they do not follow the direction (Alps, Carpathians-Himalayan). Carpathians are not the highest, or anything very special. But...they are very concentraded on Romania. (The peek was !when I finished school was 2504!)
@Alejandro Rauber about your desire to learn romanian....well...it is one of the most difficult languages in the world. A lot of grammar rules and above that...we have words that spells exactly the same, but the pronunciation is different...and they can be translated as two different words. In the same manner, we have a word that can be translated in more than one way, and we have two or more different words that can be translated in one word with, maybe, a small meaning difference. We have a very "fu**ed" grammar. Some linguists say romanian is more difficult than chinese. Back to terrain: i know Romania is not the only country with a complete terrain: France and Italy are the same (countries i visited). But România has something unique in Europe (search for "Cheile Bicazului" on the internet and you'll find heart stopping images).
Interesant ca nu plangi cand romanii vorbesc bine/frumos despre tara noastra, dar plangi la indieni😉🙉. Seria "Noi Arianii Daci" ai vazut-o?? Ai plans si acolo? Daca nu, de ce nu??
The necktie story was really impressive. I almost started crying. You are right, we are very close to our families and as Romanian living in Canada for 14 years, family is what I miss the most. I like my life in Canada, don't get me wrong, but it can be hard sometimes. I'm really happy for you that you enjoyed your stay there. In Iasi the palace that you were talking about is called Palatul Culturii (the Culture Palace), and it's really beautiful on the inside. Perhaps some other time you'll have the chance to go and visit it again.
Hearing what you say about Romania is so heartwarming.... Too bad that some people refer to us as Gypsies (They call themselves Roma which is different from Romanian, most obvious clothes and language wise). Calling a Romanian "gypsy/țigan" is a pejorative and portrayed in a negative way about us in some other countries". Really glad I've found this channel xD
Iași is my town of birth. The "Palace" (Palatul Culturii) is wrongfully build. That is the reason why is looked as it was always on construction. It took a lot of yeas, but thanks to the new techs....it is finished now. (Btw. If you think that the Palace of culture is old...you're soooo wrong. It didn't. It is ess than 100 years old. But even so...one of the towers (it is only one left now) was linked to out real history (it had connections to al least two of the closed by monasteries (Cetatuia and Galata by tunnels (about 10 km each tunnel)). That was possible because the place where Palace of culture was built, it the place where the old Citadel of Moldavia was half of century ago.
Yeap, he didn't describe you and your kind. He was just lucky to have missed you when he visited Romania. This is why his trip was so frickin' amazing!
He's indian. From India. If he emigrated/went to Canada, that's another story, but he's indian. For the same "he's canadian"😉 idea, Neil Armstrong is "lunar"😉, because he went* to the moon/luma.😂 * for those who really believe the Nasa show filmed in their studio.
I'm Romanian and I had to pause this cause I started crying. It's so heartwarming to hear foreigners speak so nicely about us.
These people like our country more then our own politicians!
