Just installed the decked system on my truck. I removed my cargo slide and installed it on top of the deck system. So my flight was about 16 in taller now. I just finished welding up an aluminum drop down slide just have to put the final touches on it. At least now my wife will be able to reach into it without step stool. Keep up the reviews in the videos I'm still having a blast with my general.

How did you attach the slide to the Decked system?

@@overlandlust4766 if you're talkin the big bed slide. I made up some new angle iron brackets and drilled into the metal beams on the decked drawer system. In the front I did the same but I use some self tapping bolts very large ones because there was no way I was crawling up the middle of the drawer system I'm not that small the ones in the back I could reach with my arms. The original bedslide attached to the truck Factory bed bolts so no drilling was required. If you look at the decked drawer system you will see dimples that is where the steel cross members are you can drill a 5/16 hole and stick a bolt through it there is actually a PDF I'm how to do it with the bed slide manufacturer they wanted $140 a couple pieces of angle iron and some bolts I made my own. On a side note I'm not too impressed with the bed slide if you took the time you could do something more robust and save some money

So you have the cargo slide installed on top of the Decked, and then installed a drop down fridge slide to the cargo slide?

Just a really good honest review. You explain things well, and easy to understand. I’m surprised you don’t have more subscribers. Thanks

Great video & set up, I am looking at a similar setup with the Decked Box under a GoFastCamper and then a drop slide mounted fridge, the MSA is all sold out in USA, currently. The only other option I can see on the market is the Alu-Cab drop slide mount.

    Thanks for the vid.
Did you drill through the decked to fix the slide to it. If so does it leak water. Also do you ever remove the slide to get full use of the decked top. Cheers Gin

    Hi Ty,
Another great video, as always. I just wanted to get some info from you mostly on the install of the slide onto the decked. I have a decked system in my BT50 and I'm trying to work out how best to mount a fridge slide for my 90L to the top of the decked. I initially thought of just screwing it into the steel cross beams ( where the little dimples in the plastic are) is that where you screwed yours into? or have you just screwed in anywhere? The reason I want to screw only where the dimples are is that is is going into the steel beams underneath and it still keeps it waterproof. I like to house it out after trips and stuff.
Any info would be greatly appreciated to how you have done yours. Cheers mate.

How did you secure the slide into the Decked system? I was looking to buy a slide and wanted to attach a DIY slide on top of it. Thanks!

Just small screws the same depth as the plastic top it’s self, I put screws in ever hole on the frame so it was never going to pull out with the load spread along all of them

    hey mate, great review.
Separate to the video, how do you find the Decked drawers? I'm looking at it for touring. Waterproof? Dust proof etc?

    • @TyFenwick

Thanks mate, the draws are awesome ! Highly recommend them. They are water proof if it rains, there are not dust proof but I really didn’t get much dust in them to be honest hardly anything.

Is this drop down slide still being made?

I noticed that when you drop the fridge down , the slide looks to be locked in so that it doesnt move swinging up and down. i recently installed one in my canopy and when its fully slid out it doesnt lock in and when swinging up and down it can still slide . Wondering if my slide is faulty or not .

Most drawer slides that lock in and out has to be positioned the right way they might of accidentally put it in upside down
