I'm watching *White Christmas* right this minute. Somehow I thought, Gee, I wonder if anyone ever tried replicating this??? And here I am!! Beautifully done - the singing, dancing, the backdrop...Bravo! 👏👏👏
You have taken great care in reproducing the original. And also natural shootings on the river bank! Vocals and smiles! Wonderful. I'll save this video in my videos 😊
Absolutely breathtaking! Such elogence from a time long ago. They are so natural together and a beautiful sight to behold. I never tire from watching this video. Thanks for sharing this with us!
TBTHWYD draws me in for two reasons: 1) The synchronization and grace of two dancers who have just met each other, according to the story. 2) The look of joy and peace on the face of both dancers. Cory & Eloise, you captured both of these factors, in the spirit of Kaye & Vera-Ellen Thank you!
It's videos like this that remind me how awesome dancing is. You guys did so beautifully! I love the scenery you picked and both of you are so incredibly talented. Thank you for inspiring me to learn this dance!
Such beautiful dancing... like a dream.. and Cory sure can sing! He and Eloise make a wonderful pair on the dance floor... but His vocals are impressive! Thanks for sharing this.
I hope when you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror, you both see a reflection of angels. You are so talented. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You made many people cry with this video as many wish they could perform as you do. Great job!!
Wow! That was an honestly great performance! Immediately a like and honest applause! If young, radiant talents like you can transfer an old but wonderfully timeless song so perfectly into the present - there is a wonderful hope that good music never fades...
I’m quite familiar with at least a majority of the fine singing and dancing of the beautiful musical numbers of yesteryear . This dance number was on the the best numbers I’ve ever seen . I rate it as high as any Astaire dance number I’ve seen . And that’s saying a lot . This particular number was positively breathtaking ! Wow
WOW!!!! You are both amazing and a pleasure to watch! Since I was a young girl, I've wanted to dance this with the man I'll love!! It brought such joy watching you both! Bravo!!!!!
Just curious... (I LOVE dance scenes in movies - I also love the costumes design for them ... there is art in how a well designed hem of a dress "dances") ... which other dance scenes are your favorites? I'll tell you, one of my favorites is Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers "Pick Yourself Up - Dust Yourself off - Start All Over Again" from Swing Time. Again, sometimes I watch just the hem of the skirt. Movie dance segments have so many wonderful components...you can watch them over and over and find new things to love.
I don't know how anyone could watch that scene in WC and not know it is Fosse, credited or not. It is one of my all time favorites and you honored it brilliantly.
Ok.....this was just absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite dances and you both did it perfectly. It was so natural and real and in New York City.......the greatest cities in the world. Thanks for doing this.....made me smile.
YES!!!!! Three things I really liked: The backgrounds, the clothes (I always thought Danny Kaye's grey shoes didn't make sense and I loved the blue and white dress), and the use of light, especially the backlit section--it definitely made it seem more like real life, which it was.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this WONDERFUL tribute!! I've been in love with the movie White Christmas since I was a child (I'm 63!) and this dance segment has always been one of my top favorite scenes from the film. Thanks to the whole team for doing this for us and for making it public. One of the best uses of the internet I've seen in a long, long time. You actually brought tears to my eyes. And kudos to UA-cam and their algorithms for showing it to me! God bless you all!
Wow, so pleasantly surprised how well these two danced this piece! Not many can hold a candle to Danny Kaye & Vera Ellen's in performance in "White Christmas ", but these two did a beautiful job!
Really impressive! Everyone who knows the original and sees how the two exceptionally talented young artists interpret it. Just great! Even if something is old, but well, only the youth can keep it alive... Merci for this especially liveable moment!
This was so cute, totally made my day! The performers were excellent, great job! :) Definitely one of favorite musical numbers from White Christmas! Thanks for sharing the video. :)
this is one of the most incredible things Ive ever seen in my life! so much attention to detail and its so beautifully shot too! not to mention the dancing is so so gorgeous and joyous and so lovely!!! you two are both so talented! I love teaching myself dances from old movie musicals so I know it can be pretty tricky but you two executed this flawlessly! love you!!!
I love the original and was very leery of this version. But it was actually very good. I wondered how the twirling around the poles and the zip line parts were going to be done. But they were recreated beautifully. Even the flamengo dancing on the overturned boats was included. Very well and respectfully done. Danny and Vera would be pleased.
Fantastic! Bravo! You guys were amazing. What a lot of work to pull that off. Just seeing this on Nov. 27, 2023. I wonder what year you danced this and where? Thank you for posting! 🌹
Danny Kaye and Vera-Ellen would be proud.
All it needs it Betty walking over and asking, "What is this, the best two out of three?"
right
You could say they got swept up into it
yeah, I always wondered, though, why she was being such a killjoy! :)
Great dancers did a terrific job on the recreation of the original.......all the girl needed was that beautiful dress on Vera Ellen.
At 63 years old I have seen this movie countless times and I have to say.. Well Done!
I have watched White Christmas since I was 6 years old. This is ABSOLUTE tribute to that unforgettable scene.
Great voice watched White Christmas hundreds of times. Great dancing so happy to see my youth
A beautiful cover of a lovely moment in a gorgeous film. Thank you for being true to the choreography!
Love this song. Love the dancers too. Irving Berlin was incredible.

When I get married I want my first dance to be this.

Such beautiful dancing... like a dream.. and Cory sure can sing! He and Eloise make a wonderful pair on the dance floor... but His vocals are impressive! Thanks for sharing this.
Just one more comment: You two could have been understudies for Danny Kaye and Vera Ellen....easily!
Beautiful. Just beautiful.....

What a beautiful recreation of a memorable dance number from one of Hollywoods great musicals. Kaye and Ellen would have been honored. Thank you.
