really just getting into things and having such a time with it. the good, the bad, the ugly… we’ve all been there. thank you so much for making these videos!! they’re such a help
This video made my day! Just came across your channel and have been watching the san bernadino series from the beginning. It's so satisfying and impressive. You're an amazing building and a very good video maker on youtube. This may be my 3rd ever youtube comment in 10 years but just had to let you know how much I appreciate you and your videos. I've been working on my own franchise world but it doesn't compared to yours lol
Loved this! I would love to see more types of these videos or even more focused on building such as certain keybinds that are helpful. Thank you so much! Once again love this video and love the zoo you are currently making!
Omg, buildings and habitats in these kinds of vids are generally so well-made and just great-looking that they always make me feel bad about my own sorry excuses for a zoo and pitiful attempts to build something that's not just downright ugly.
My first builds were awful. I find it helps to keep one of my old crappy zoos with its square, in game walls and game prefab staff buildings just so I can see how far I've come since then. Also, don't just look at one person's video for how to do --- thing. Look up a dozen videos on the same concept. Some people have different ways of achieving the same end result that just click better with your mind. It also sometimes gives some wicked ideas that just never occurred to me to even attempt. Another thing I find has helped improve my designs is pintrest. Not entire enclosures though. Look for bits and pieces of enclosures that can be mentally put together or rearranged. Or even just taking the general idea and running with it. There's an image on there somewhere of the water from one enclosure flowing over a glass tunnel into another. Obviously we can't recreate this idea exactly as that's not how in game water works. But we can build a half glass tunned next to an underwater viewing area, use the rapids option and give the illusion of water overflowing into the neighboring exhibit by adding a lake or pond next to the land exhibit. Looking from guest side it gives the illusion of being under a waterfall. Ladydesigner made a cool illusion of a glass floor for guests to walkover (which they can't actually walkover because of pathing limitations but they can peer down into).
Awesome video! Using a path to stop enrichment items from flattening terrain is brilliant! At the end of the video when you're making that staff building, how did you place the wooden beams so quickly? I know the video is sped up, but it looked like you didn't have to fiddle with the placement at all on the ones you duplicated.
Great tips for frenchise mode thanks! I would love a video about the workzone system, what is the best way to set it up in the beginning and how to evolve it as your zoo gets bigger?
So i have one question, because i never used webcams bevor, do i need to build some sort of monitor to actually use the webcams or is it only the little device 🤔 Thank you for the video there were some tips i never heard about so this was great
As a new player, my biggest gripe is the foliage coverage limit preventing me making lush habitats. Is there anyway around this limit in Franchise mode, or am I stuck with big, open field habitats? 😭
Was doing really well in my franchise zoo then all of a sudden it came up with staff couldn’t reach work zone and I don’t know why all paths are connected but the won’t go there
I'm terrible at decorating/building, (I also sadly have no dlc except for the North America animal pack dlc) any tips for helping me get better, also thanks for all the other tips in the video
Not sure which things you,’re talking about but I don’t use mods so they’re either in game items or a blueprint. Most likely ingame as I rarely use blueprints
250 hours in and I'm just now learning there's a setting so that I don't have to trade out 50 penguins every two hours because my habitats overcrowded again... 🤦♀️
My franchise zoo was almost at 5 stars when my educational suddenly tanked. All guests have 100% education rating at any point, but I can’t get above .5 stars 😭 it has to be a weird glitch or bug.
Tip one is subjective - not that great if you’re farming for CCs. And for habitat sizes - you also have to consider how much foilage you’re going to add. Big foliage will block animal’s traversable area, and therefore lower how much space they have. So you need to make the habitat bigger than the amount they require, so you have room for foliage. Also, are you sure “ticket price is fair” doesn’t have a bad effect on guest happiness? Overall your tips are really good though :)
I presumed anyone starting a CC farm would be aware that tip 1 was not for them 😆 I add an extra 4m squared for trees plus the rounding p, this method normally works fine for me. I don't believe ticket price is fair has any affect on guest happiness but there is no documentation so who knows!
It’s kinda like my career for zoo and wildlife zoo I’m gonna grind to get my favorite animal white lion I haven’t played story i definitely need to just to learn more like breeding I first saw baby lion I cried we need lion simulator from pc come to ps5 or im gonna go pc sell my tv and tv stand and start pc gaming every good game is always on steam omg they have good lion games too 😢

Thanks! I'd like to do more tutorials but SBZ takes up all my time!
Such a high quality video with great tips! Thank you for the effort. You got a new sub. 😊 i recently got into planet zoo and am obsessed. 🥰
Thanks! Welcome to the channel!
Thank you so much for this vid I really couldn’t figure out franchise mode and now I know a lot more about it
No problem!

Thanks 😆 It takes a long time to get good at this game, my first builds were awful!

@@Kitsune1989 Thanks, i got better in the meantime.
wow, i love the tip with the staff building. Very nice video, always enjoying giving noobs (beginners) like me advice and tips.
Glad to help!
This is excellent! I am most excited for the animal aging. I'm tired of my zoos having more incest than a Japanese cartoon. 😅
😆 Haha! Amazing! Glad it was useful!
the path tip for enrichment items is godlike thank you
No problem! I learned it from JustGoron!
Fantastic compilation! I just mentioned the habitat size tip in a Reddit comment today - what can I say, I obviously learned from the best 💁🏻♀️
Haha thank you!
I enjoy all your videos but this was great. I had no clue about point one and I was getting sick of millions of lemurs, so thanks for that!
Glad I added that first tip!
This is so helpful! Thank you you've given me some good ideas

That path trick! 😮 Thank you!!
No worries 😆
YES! I found this Very Useful!
Excellent!
Great tips for frenchise mode thanks! I would love a video about the workzone system, what is the best way to set it up in the beginning and how to evolve it as your zoo gets bigger?
Check out my 'running a huge zoo in franchise mode' video, I go into workzones in that one
this game reminds me of when i started learning photoshop, its such a creative game but there is a big learning curve, definitly worth it though
Oh yeh there is a lot to learn! The beauty of UA-cam is I get to struggle with PZ and then struggle with PS as well to make the thumbnail 😆
AWSOME video!! Helps me a lot!!
Glad to hear it!
Very helpful thanks man. Subbed
No problem, thanks!
Very helpful video. Thank you
You're welcome!
Great tips thanks.
Thank you ❤🎉
No problem!
Excellent.
Thanks!
I can’t wait to get a laptop to play this game!!!
Buy a powerfull computer for this game, that's my advice. When you'll reach 1000 visitors, the game will start to freeze if you dont have a good PC
Woo! Get a decent one! This game is a beast!
Thanks and brill vid
Thanks!
These tips are going to help
Awesome!
You don't just entertain you also help
Tip #1, change the laws of time and biology, by slowing aging
Great, real helpful...
If you think a lion grows to maturity in 12 minutes... I can't help you 😆
So i have one question, because i never used webcams bevor, do i need to build some sort of monitor to actually use the webcams or is it only the little device 🤔 Thank you for the video there were some tips i never heard about so this was great
Nah you just put the webcam in, you can watch the output by clicking on it. Glad you found the video helpful!
As a new player, my biggest gripe is the foliage coverage limit preventing me making lush habitats. Is there anyway around this limit in Franchise mode, or am I stuck with big, open field habitats? 😭
Yes it really makes only a tiny difference to the animals' happiness, just go crazy with it like I do!
1980hrs of game play and im just now finding out about the enrichment trick and the terrain brush option?
I had at least that when I found out 😆
this helped
Awesome!
11'st tip: Food costs and animal choice
That's a good one! Maybe in the next video!
thx for the like & Heart!

Check out my base game research centre episode of San Bernardino Zoo, I build the whole thing with no DLCs, you should find it useful!
@@ZSHplays ok thanks!
Where did you get those crates and chairs from? I cant find them in the game.
Not sure which things you,’re talking about but I don’t use mods so they’re either in game items or a blueprint. Most likely ingame as I rarely use blueprints
GODSEND
Hah nice
When i buy my animals they dont come to my inventory how can i deal with this?
Franchise Mode is broken at the moment, should be a patch soon

These look suspiciously like franchise masters lol
Indeed! People have been asking me to compile them into a video for months!

what is your top ten favorite animals in planet zoo im asking beacuse im going to make a park for you that is called ZSHplays wildlife park

What do you mean by “left or right square brackets?”
I don't know the technical term for them - the square parentheses?
Sorry what’s franchise mode and sandbox mode I don’t get it
Franchise mode is the more ‘game’ mode where there are various restrictions and objectives. Sandbox let’s you build however you want
I made a capybara habitat as the first one but accidently made it 5700m2
Haha! Oops!
@@ZSHplays land tax is going to hit hard

Yeah nah, i think I'll just wing it😅
Haha it's only 1 button 😆
