    Thanks, amazing video provided english, with french C1 I finished my medical school in taiwan and sent my documents already to MEBEKO for non-recognizable diploma, but I haven't heard back from them at all(it has been almost 4 months)., do you recommend that I start applying for medical assistant posts in category A-C to be a psychiatrist? or only wait until they answered me about the recognition? (I've contacted a few places in category A and some directly said that they won't consider outside of EU candidates based on agreements with EU) and Im afraid if that would be the rules for most psychiatry training posts?

      I would wait MEBEKO's answer otherwise you'll just loose your time and energy

    Great Video! I'm in the middle of med school in Portugal and pretending to enroll in an orthopedics residency in the Swiss German part. How much time in advance should I be applying? Also now as a specialist how many hours do you work compared to when you were a resident (50 hours I believe)? Do you have any friends in orthopedics who could give me extra help? Keep doing those videos, they help a ton for us aspiring to be doctors in that beautiful country :))

      Hi there, you can start applying once you have the Mebeko recognition. In terms of working hours, a specialist works 40 hours... in theory...!

    Hello man ,thanks for the information.Just a quick question.I am getting into my 4th year in a Greek med school and want to do residency in Switzerland.I heard that it is good to have done some months as unterassistent before finishing med school.So I ask is it important where this work is done for example University hospital of Zurich vs a Kantonspital in a small town?Are they of the same magnitude and both seen positively when applying for residency later? Asking because I see that in big hospitals the positions are taken in advance like 2+years and im probably going to end up in a small town if I go through with it.

      Hey there,
      I’d say both are considered positively to get a resident position later.
      Best of luck,
      Stefano

    Could you please tell if you can directly switch from German residency to switzerland residency as a non EU citizen, what's the process, does passing fsp kp in Germany make us elligible to do residency in switzerland?
    Thanks a lot!!

    What are the ways that we can increase our chances of getting selected in residencies with high demand (dermatology/plasitc surgery)? Could a master in a respective field help? Or are there other ways to be more sure that we can get selected? Thanks!

    Hello! I have 2 questions regarding to residency in Switzerland. Is being a non-EU citizen a huge obstacle?(I am married to an EU citizen and also got my medical degree in a EU country) Also is the 50 hours a week work policy also applied to medical residents?

      If you get EU citizenship it will be very straightforward. Have a look on the video I made “ how to work as a foreign doctor in Switzerland “

    Ciao Stefano, grazie per i tuoi video. Volevo chiederti per quanto riguarda il riconoscimento della laurea in medicina in Svizzera se ora é possibile utilizzare il modulo di riconoscimento diretto del diploma della Mebeko e se é possibile utilizzare ai fini della procedura anche la conferma provvisoria della laurea, in quanto la mia università mi rilascerà la pergamena 6 mesi dopo la laurea. Grazie

    • @unmedicoinsvizzera
      @unmedicoinsvizzera  2 місяці тому +1

      Il riconoscimento è diretto anche con la laurea abilitante ( ho fatto un video a riguardo). Per la laurea ti serve il documento dal ministero della salute di Roma ( e non la pergamena ufficiale). Trovi tutte le info in uno dei primi video sul canale

      Your citizenship matters. You need European or Swiss citizenship to go for direct or indirect recognition.

    Ciao Stefano, grazie mille sempre per i tuoi video! Vorrei condividere un dubbio (magari aiuterà anche qualcun altro) e spero che tu o qualcuno con esperienza diretta possa contraddire o confermare la mia impressione.
    Qualche tempo fa ho fatto il candmed e mi sono sorte delle perplessità sui vantaggi effettivi di specializzarsi in Svizzera (anche parlando con i vari specializzandi che ho incontrato nei turni). Durante la formazione, si passa una buona parte del tempo in ospedali più piccoli, dove l'esposizione a patologie rare e la varietà dei casi clinici sono sicuramente inferiori rispetto a quella che si trova nei vari reparti italiani in cui ad esempio ho fatto tirocinio, oltre che aver notato una notevole differenza nel numero di pazienti visitati giornalmente dagli specializzandi in Italia.
    Ho l'impressione che questa differenza possa influire negativamente sulla qualità della formazione.
    Magari è un dubbio che ho solo perché ancora “esterno” al mondo effettivamente della pratica clinica…per questo sarei felice se qualcuno potesse delucidarmi a riguardo.

    • @unmedicoinsvizzera
      @unmedicoinsvizzera  2 місяці тому

      E' un'ottima domanda. Dalla mia esperienza è vero che nei centri periferici vedi meno casi rari o altamente complessi, ma sei in prima linea e ancora nella mia esperienza, vedi tanti pazienti. Penso che dipenda veramente dal centro e da quello che vuoi fare, perché per alcune specialità di nicchia il tempo che passerai nei centri perifici sarà relativamente poco. Detto questo non sono mai stato specializzando in Italia, quindi altri punti di vista sono benvenuti!

      @@unmedicoinsvizzera Grazie mille per la risposta! Prima o poi sarebbe interessante un video confronto tra due specializzandi un'italiano e uno svizzero :)

    So if i did MBBS in Russia🇷🇺 then studied C1 german 🇩🇪 language and did PG in Germany and stayed there and got PR of Germany 🇩🇪...
    Then am i eligible to work as a doctor in Switzerland 🇨🇭 or not? Will i get license to work in Switzerland 🇨🇭

    • @unmedicoinsvizzera
      @unmedicoinsvizzera  3 місяці тому

      Hi there, if you've got German citizenship then you can work in Switzerland via the "indirect recognition" of your medical diploma. If not, you need to go through the so called "non recognizable diploma". Check out my other video in English on how to become a doctor in Switzerland for more details.
      Best of luck
