Here’s a tip for you I used in Afghanistan for these style of beds.
For the end that’s difficult to fit, stand the bed upright. Place your foot over the end bar and lift the entire bed with the end poll remaining under foot on the ground till you are able to locate the eyelet over the nipple.
Hope that helps 👍 incase you don’t have anything to pry.

      Hello,
dont you know how to make the bed less noisy? Every time I move, the bed make terrible squeeky noise, it comes especially from the point where canvas meets the frame... Thnaks.

I've had one of these for a long time now, it's a U.S Army cot bed. I've found the although the materiel does give a little it's still hard to leaver the last strut into place. I found that if you "roll" the last strut into place rather than putting one side in at a time it works better rather than carrying a small leaver around for it.

A tip to installing the last end piece. Get one end started and stand the hammock up on its end. Place your boot on the unconnected end while you raise up the cot. It will go on. In case you don't have a pry tool.

Would love to get a heavy duty canvas (without frame) to bring into the woods and make a frame/base with branches and small logs. Could also make a hanging canvas 'hammock' with branches as head and foot rope spreaders.

Funky I've spent the last month watching all your and Roaches vids, Its been an absolute treat. Great work buddy. FYI the canvas on these beds dont stretch infact they get tighter over time! What you need to do is wet the canvas with a good amont of water, it it will loosen up that the ends will go on and still be quite loose, but once it dried it tightens up perfect tight as a drum.

agree, ive a lower range trakker bed chair about £80 way more comfy than these, But to be honest I think this is more of an advertisement than a revue. Your not going to take either into the field if your a Bushcrafter, but if your away with the kids and your not moving far from the car I suppose they have there place. or your a carp angler on a budget and don't have back issues then it might be alright. Id die with this on a 24hr session. Cant help feeling this prepper malarkey is just glamping with all the gear, but everything is in olive drab lol

US Army issue cot copy. Funky, it's a knockoff! Damn, I should have held that back because now you have to give it away, lol. The best way to put them together is to stand them on their end, with one side of the cross bar in the hole, one side of the cross bar almost in the hole, then stand on the loose end of the bar and push the side of the cot with your body and lever the bar into the hole. Pretty quick and no tools required. Hope that helps.
