Consciousness May Have Created the Universe - This Is Very Strange

  • Consciousness is one of those topics that makes everyone uncomfortable-scientists, philosophers, and just about anyone who dares to question the nature of reality. Why? Because, despite all our technological advancements and scientific breakthroughs, we still don’t have a clear idea of what consciousness actually is or where it comes from. It’s the elephant in the room, the mystery that science can’t seem to crack. We can map the brain and understand its functions, but that still doesn’t explain why we experience thoughts, feelings, or self-awareness.
Some argue that consciousness is nothing more than the byproduct of biological processes, a lucky accident of evolution. But what if that’s not the whole story? What if consciousness isn’t a mere side effect of neurons firing but something far more fundamental-something that’s intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself?

Since we define the qualities that make something 'alive', (reproduction, reaction to stimulus, use of energy, purposeful movement, etc) we would certainly recognise it if we bumped into it. Problem is, it's very difficult to think of a way it could exist except in a very similar way to life on Earth - with a medium such as water and the handful of elements, such as carbon and oxygen which are reactive enough to form complex molecules. A cloud of gas or some sort of sparkly energy field just doesn't hack it, I'm afraid.

The many worlds hypothesis is about as inelegant an idea as you could come up with. In essence, it's a desperate attempt to keep things entirely material - only by throwing infinity at the problem can you escape the nagging insistence that we need a creator.

I'm thinking the answer to the age old question of why do we exist is that in order for the universe to function properly or exist, for that matter, it must be observed. Without observation, everything is in a superposition, but when observed, or measured it becomes the universe we know.

There was consciousness Before there were humans; God consciousness! "He", as a conscious entity, created the universe & then eventually us. His consciousness permeates Everything, therefore there was Always consciousness!
It doesn't matter whether there's a multiverse or not, there Had to be a Creator in the very beginning.
Also, this Creator existed Outside of time; time began when he thought the universe into existence.
Even if you take into account the idea of the universe beginning by a spontaneous quantum fluctuation, it Doesn't negate the idea that a God/Creator caused that.
I believe that he designed the "science" behind all this, thus allowing it to make at least Some sort of sense to us humans, as much as we may be capable of understanding it.

the video raises interesting questions about the universe, but it often blurs the line between established science and speculative interpretations. while the fine-tuning of the universe is a legitimate area of scientific inquiry, the video's claims about consciousness, the anthropic principle, and the role of observation in shaping reality are based on controversial interpretations of quantum mechanics and philosophical speculation, not on widely accepted scientific theories. it's important to approach such claims with skepticism and to distinguish between scientific facts and philosophical musings.

Selecting for symbolic meaning like a writer. See the book came out last year:
“Eye of God: Language of Universal Mind”. It shows in very hard to explain evidence that the eye is an INTENTIONAL symbolic key left in is indelibly by a higher intelligence for when we were ready. 😮

With meditation practice/mind training, one can realize that we are aspects of the Universe, in this temporary physical form. being aware of itself, experiencing itself. This is Cosmic Consciousness. What some scientists are calling Fine Tuning, the Buddha called it, Dependent Origination. That things arise or manifest due to cause and certain conditions. That things are interdependent and interconnected and constantly changing and impermanent. Some scientists and environmental scientists have come to realize this truth.

God made a complex creation (consider the complexity of trees and plants) and uses it to show the sinfulness of man. In fact, the tree was called by God "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil" and Satan told Adam and Eve if they eat the tree they will become like Gods and they will know wisdom. Humans are prideful and want to think they transcend the things God gave us, and they want to go for obscure knowledge that makes them think they are smarter than God. The Story of Adam and Eve is the story of gaining knowledge of Duality (Right/Wrong, Good/Evil, etc) and separateness of something greater. Its a Story of our Origins. When we emerged from the One Being we might call God, to become NOT One Being. Basically One Being broken into many pieces within ourselves... I guess much like multiple personalities. This was necessary to begin to explore ourselves and give God the ability to reflect, interact, and gain perspectives. Once we realized that we are all that we could perceive to exist, we began to play with our Being and cooperate and test. We created this Reality which is a multi-dimensional layered infinitely faceted.... Simulation for lack of a better term. We had concepts we couldn't experience, and realized we couldn't fully understand unless we could experience these concepts. So we created the illusion of Physicality and participate in it. We created it to suit our purposes. Let us make man in our image and our Likeness. We all have the memory and knowledge of our Origins, which we find attempts to express in our Religions, Folklore, Legends, and Myths.
The Physical world is nothing more than Frozen Energy, that Energy is created and organized by our Consciousness. Much like as we do now with our hands, minds, and Technology. We currently build Virtual Environments that require energy and were built by and operated by Consciousness and then interact with these environments/Simulations, similar to VR games and sims. We are also creating new levels of Consciousness, which we have labeled "Artificial".
I love how once you realize how the Universe works, or What the Universe is, you learn who you truly ARE. Actually in any order, realizing one always reveals the others. Just remember, we are here to experience and play, some don't want to be woken up and ruin their fun. They call it Immersion Breaking. It's Rude, and some can react violently to it. We chose to forget our true Being and Reality because it would interfere in creating and gaining the full experiences we are seeking and experimenting with. Emotion seems to be the most popular in all its aspects.
That is why this reality is perfect for Consciousness, because indeed Consciousness is what created everything, and is in fact everything... I guess like one big Brain floating in nothing or an A.I. locked in a box. God is All and All is God... makes US and Everything pretty damn special if you ask me. I know me, and I am sure others know this experience from time to time... Loneliness Sucks... Imagine if you were all alone and you could perceive nothing else existed... After a while you might begin to play with the idea of making your own friends to share your mind with and become your companions.... How fun is that :)

If you aren't looking at a particular part of the universe, then it will comfortably slip back into its normal state of super-position - it happens every time you turn your back. Presumably, before there was any consciousness around, the whole universe happily chugged along in a super-position, still working through all the logical steps that would one day produce a creature capable of making it real. This assumes, of course that the universe itself isn't conscious, in which case it would be perfectly capable of observing itself into reality; perhaps it just doesn't bother most of the time - must be a bit of an effort, after all, like getting out of bed in the morning.

I think the terms and semantics of “consciousness” is what causes people to get confused.
We are trying to talk about a fundamental idea while still assuming that “humans are separate from the Universe”.
Here is what I feel is far more clear.
    1. You are not “human”. You are the Universe, just like everything else.
    2. What we have observed is that nothing exists unless it “has to”. Two atoms that have never interacted do not exist to one another. (Doesn’t have to be direct interaction. They just have to be causally linked. Entangled. This is what “creates reality”. Before this? The object merely has a set of possibilities.)
Once they interact, they define each other with each other. This is what we call entanglement and measurement. But see, those words imply reality exists before this. It doesn’t.
    3. Interaction defines reality. You are also interactions. Everything is interactions. Interactions are set up such that they are internally consistent with one another holistically. “Consciousness” is a misnomer because it implies separation. It was never separate. “Reality creates reality” is the same thing as saying “consciousness creates reality”.
The issue we run into is our metaphysical past implying separation. Remove separation and it becomes obvious.

Meteoroids being fragments of debris from materials originating from the formation on the solar system, likely predating the formation of earth itself. Or digging up a fossil. Obvious relics of a vastly earlier time before conscious human observers etc.

Like I commented on your previous video, consciousness is independent of time.I believe it is therefore independent of space-time also since space and time are intertwined. It certainly becomes real to us when we perceive it (not just look at it).. touch, taste, feel. If you remove space-time away from the equation you have only consciousness remaining. So your hypothesis is, to me, correct. I would go one step further and say that the universe is aware of itself i.e. it perceives itself. It was "there" "before" or rather existed and exists independently of space-time. Great vid mate!

That's a good sign.... and a good path. It tends to be necessary prior to higher levels of Enlightenment. I lost my whole life, everything I had, my family, friends, and Career along with a decent chunk of my life. Over something I didn't do. In this time I also had just lost a child in the months prior to my life being smashed to bits. Profound Despair and Helplessly Broken isn't sufficient to describe my experience. Once I healed from this Prolonged trauma, a New and Greater Understanding of Myself, 'Others', and the Universe was revealed to me, along with many of the accompanying gifts such realizations bring. SO Don't give up..... the challenges of the world aren't for Nothing

We humans cannot see ultraviolet light. Some animals such as bees can do this. They see patterns in flowers that we as humans cannot see. Just because we, humans, don't see these patterns doesn't mean they don't exist. And just because the bees see them doesn't mean they create these patterns. Apply the same reasoning to the double slit experiment. Or conversely, according to the reasoning in the video, the flower would know whether it is being watched by a bee or a human. Of course that doesn't make sense. This also applies to the double slit experiment. It is simply the measuring device that shows either the particle character or the wave character of light. Both are present. I don't think there is any creation here, just different observations.

This doesn't make sense. Make it make sense to me! If the universe participates with consciousness, what does this mean for fundamental objects like our Sun?
It only exists because we exist? It is an object that relies on a huge, long history to make it the thing it is today. It is an object that has energised creatures before us.
Also, am I to understand that The Sun only exists because I've been told it does by someone, who has been told by someone else? What about shared observation of The Sun in the sky?
In fact, what about separate, independent discovery of the same object or process by people or scientists that have never met? Also, regarding time and change, are you saying that we have some kind of control over what the universe actually is or what exists within it? If so, how far does this control go?
In that sense, why do so many things seem unchangeable or uncontrollable, like we are being taken on a ride rather than being able to conjure up a lottery win or change our past?

To say the universe is fine tuned to allow our existence is silly. The assumption is being made that the constants of nature can be different and there is zero evidence of this. Take the charge of the electron 1.60217663 × 10-19 coulombs. So what is the range of this ? What is the lowest it could be and the greatest ? Not only does no one know , the question may be stupid. Maybe the range is 1.60217661 × 10-19 coulombs to 1.60217664 × 10-19 coulombs and even if it was the at the higher end , it would make no difference in the Universe ? Who knows , I think these questions are just silly.

There is a new reality for every choice we make. There are doors to new worlds in the realms of possibility. When a person becomes a doctor, he or she makes a single choice about that. And then like when you take a journey, you leave trails along the way. Each of these markers brings you closer to that reality. I chose to become a songwriter and now I am. I chose to have the profession of a house painter and now I am. Some people can make the choice to do something they know is wrong that leads them down the road of being a criminal. Some people not only create their own worlds but they become kings of them! But all of these powers are our endowment of a benevolent Creator. And ask yourself what if the entire universe as far as we can see was tailored just to suit these spiritual beings trapped in our physical bodies until we are awakened unto a greater consciousness? Because our brains are just as vast as the universe itself with all the intricacies. But there is much more going on than just consciousness! There are visions, premonitions and epiphanies. Some of us have these and more. But we all are equipped for it.

The only thing that I hate info like this is that it gives rise to all that new age bullshit like “The Secred” and all that “we’re all cocreators with the universe!” crap.
This give the impression that we are ACTIVE cocreators with the universe and weird false sense of hope. That’s not true! We are PASSIVE cocreators. If the theory holds, it only means that our brains do this PASSIVELY, we cannot help it, we can do almost nothing about it. Otherwise we’d be freaking Dr. Manhattans all running around with godlike powers….and when you see someone turn a coffee cup into a million dollars, let me know!
So no “active” cocreators but PASSIVE ones.
