Miss NZ Samoa answer was actually the best. She was the only contestant who not only answered the question but gave much thought

Was an awesome answer huh?! I get like her answer was what won it for her because so many of the other girls completely failed on their answers unfortunately.

I could go all day long with the fa'alavelave question lol. Miss New Zealand made me so proud with her reply. Beauty with Brains..must be from NZ hhe 😋

Yeah, the faalavelave question (in real life practice) is annoying. It’s not supposed to be like that. But it’s been twisted. And unfortunately the result is debt and disenfranchisement from the 2nd and 3rd generation that have moved away. It’s a problem and needs to go away. ☹️☹️
But yes! Miss NZ is beauty and brains! ❤️❤️❤️

I think we are actually going to do our QnA for the 100th. People asked us to do another one for when we got to 10k subscribers so i think we’re gonna wrap those two together. Thanks for being one of our earliest subscribers, Chill! ❤️🙌🤙

Man really that answer with faalavelave is not enough lol... I would say Faalavelave has becoming a burden to our own people because families are competing who have the best burial ever. It is hurting our own people because we listen to our eldest and or eldest are not fixing the problem but making it worse. In order to minimize this problem we should encourage our people to apply for life insurance so it will help families to pay for the cost. The government should set some rules and regulations to help prevent this issue. I know we have to do our traditions but we dont have to lose and arm or a leg to pay for our faalavelave. Ua makua oki a kakou ia kakou ia

Your answer for the win!! I thought sure that as a young woman, she would nail this answer. But i think she got scared, unfortunately.

million percent TRUE 👍 Our culture is all about competition 🤦‍♀️ The bible says put your family first not CHURCH OR VILLAGE OR FAALAVELAVES

Sao lelei ae tuu aku i Matai a le aiga ua makua akili ai.. We need to feel more sincere to the passing of our family but not to entertain our thoughts who getting more stuff from the funeral.

From my perspective, of fa'asamoa way no one forces you to do any fa'alavelave. But if you have an understanding of why Samoan indigenous people do things that we don't agree on there is a meaningful purpose behind fa'alavelave and that's where your alofa, fa'aloalo, and tautua is the foundation of Samoan values and beliefs. However, having an openness to learn deeper meaningful purpose is always optional for everyone to make sense of why we do things the way we do....

The young lady from the states had a real shot at winning this. She lights up the stage whenever she steps out. Her puletasi look was beautiful, I feel like if she worked on her confidence she needed more time before she enters she actually could have won.

Our Agriculture is very important to our economy because thats is one of our main revenue from export our crops like taro, banana, coconut and etc. However in order to sustain agriculture develop we need to encourage our farmers to use organic farming. Fertilizer is polluting our water, destroying our environment and damaging our health. We should go back to use our old organic ways or hire an expert to educate our farmer on how to grow crops organically.

I am 30 years old way too old for Miss Samoa lol.. born and raised in Samoa before I moved to the States 5 years ago. Still very upset about our local Miss Samoa contestants and their answers. They are the one who live there and witness this everyday and still dont have enough to say.

For child vendors issues I blame the police. The issue is getting worse because the police is not doing their job right. They at RSA drinking but doing their jobs right. No hard feelings that is the ugly truth. Aga fai faalelei lakou galuega faapegei e leai gei mea kukupu
