Technically that can only occur when you get to Gen 2 and include Hitmontop, so we can only wait for that eventual run in like Gen 4, where they have the biggest benefit from the physicsl/special split.
I considered doing a name like that, but then I worried it might make it hard to search when people want to rewatch it

Top kind of sucks and its nearly impossible to have BOTH Attack and Defense = to even get one. but even then Hitmontop is kind of pure crap it learns no GOOD lv up moves at all.

I had all 4 ripped at once when I was 20. Recovery sucks hard when it's top AND bottom together.

I got all 4 of mine removed plus one next to them as it was impacted. Recovery was actually pretty easy. I just caught up on reading for a week
I think tyrogue is in some of the later games, also after g/s you can breed them.

Hitmonchan. A Pokémon where everyone who played Pokémon Red/Blue as a kid thought that its gotta be an awesome Pokémon. And it learns Fire, Ice and Thunderpunch. It has to be good right? It even has high attack. And it punches!
And thats when you understand that some moves use the Special Stat and not the Attack Stat.
Yeah he was really screwed over by that, the sad thing is if the physical special split was there in gen 1 he could have been a pretty decent pokemon with that level of type coverage... too bad by the time gen four rolled out, there were way better options

I believe he did once, but it felt so wrong he never did it again. Can't remember the run though, just that it was back when he did a run every day for like 3 years.
Sometimes its just reused footage… not all the time… look at the boarder around the text when it happens compared to the boarder around text the rest of the playthru… it gives me a reason to be interested in that running gag lol

I think you are underestimating both the power of Ice Punch's ability to freeze and Hitmonlee's utter destructive power. That Elite 4 is toast!
Might be wrong but ice is special in gen 1 isn't?
@jamesdaniel9033 it's not about the strength, but the 30% freeze chance it has. And Freeze is a evil status condition in gen 1

@@KironLunaEden Ice Punch has a 10% freeze chance. No move has ever had a chance higher than that except for Japanese Red and Green Blizzard (which was 30%) and Secret Power if used in a snowy area (which is also 30%). Basically every other move that can cause has a freeze has a 10% chance, with the exception of Tri Attack which has a 6.67% chance (along with the same chance to Burn or Paralyze).
@hoodedman6579 my bad, must have mixed it up. It's been a while since i checked exact numbers xD i just remember Hitmonchans Icepunch being my lifesaver so many times back as a kid in RBY. At the end Gen1 "RNG" is broken af (looking at you speed-crit ratio)
It's probably best to do it in HGSS, use the Randomizer to start with one of the Hitmons, and then breed it at the the Day-Care on Route 34 because there's Ditto on that Route, albeit unfortunately @ a 5% encounter rate. So long as you clear the Route before you breed, you can breed the Hitmon you start with and get it back without doing any fights without it. Any other method I can think of involves figuring out one of the Wild Pokémon Modifier Codes, which usually have you throwing away specific numbers of Poké Ball variants added by the code to set the level and national dex number of the encounters, codes that force all encounters to be one specific Pokémon until disabled, or, in the Sinnoh games, there are codes that use the calculator app on the Pokétch to determine level and 'mon encountered.
You can skip the Ditto if you get a female Hitmon at the start, and get a male Machop, Abra, or Drowzee instead if you go the breeding strat.
@@Cyniv0 Tyrogue, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan & Hitmontop have a 100% male ratio, so they can never be female, meaning they HAVE to be bred with a Ditto!
Other male-locked species include the Gen 5 genies, the Impidimp line, Sawk and Throh, Braviary, Tauros, Volbeat & the Nidoking line!
Yeah, never remember the stupid Hitmon-gender lock. It's just by far the least obvious gender lock outside of maybe Hitmonchan. Hitmonlee and Hitmontop are more ambiguous.
Would it also be possible to start with one and then save before the gift egg that can be a tyrogue?
Or do the run in Crystal and reset the gift egg until you get tyrogue, then evolve it into the hitmon that you don't have
Can we get Pokemon Gen 3, either Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald, with Both Seviper and Zangoose. I like this complimentary teams like these.

Hitmonlee can learn Mega Punch. Sooooo for Misty, probably should have gone that route.
Don’t think it would have saved time overall over Hitmonlee’s stab kicks during the early part of the run though. Brock and many other fights would have been slower.
@@TravisMattson-q7p Mega Punch is in Mt. Moon. Hitmonlee still would have had Double Kick for Brock and for other fights in the game, but it would have had a neutral attack for Misty's Starmie in Cerulean City.
I'll write down my BW2 with only hidden grotto pokemon!
- use the randomizer to change one of the starters to one of these three: sap sipper marill, rattled dunsparce or scrappy lillipup
(The starters are from the ranch's grotto which is the closest one, and they have their hidden abilities)
- you can choose to catch one pokemon per grotto or have as many pokemon you'll find (you can choose)
I think the simplest way to go about it is a Pokemon HeartGold run with Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and Hitmontop. You start the game with one of the Hitmons, any will do but I suggest Hitmontop that getting that to evolve from Tyrogue is the most difficult out of the 3. Then there's an NPC in Mt. Mortar that gifts you a Level 10 Tyrogue that you can evolve into another one of the Hitmons. After that, you can breed the 2 that you have for a third Tyrogue that you can evolve into the last Hitmon. Just be sure to use a bunch of Protiens and Irons to give the Tyrogues enough of a stat difference for them to evolve into Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan respectively.
You would need a Ditto for the breeding since all the hitmons are male only…
The Hitmons are always male, so you need a Ditto to breed them. But Ditto is available pretty early in HGSS, before Goldenrod. On the same route as the Daycare. 🤔
@@realperson69 Oh, I forgot about that detail. Well, the fact that Ditto is available as early as Route 34 makes getting all 3 even easier.
And the Mt. Mortar Tyrogue needs Waterfall to reach, which is I believe after gym 8, so…Ditto is the way.

Make sure you don't use a straw, and be very careful anytime you have to sneeze, blow or swallow, you don't want to get dry socket. Seriously, it'll feel silly, but you kinda wanna put whatever your soft food is in your mouth, tilt your head back, and let it go down as easy as possible with very small swallows. Dry socket is incredibly painful and an awful thing to deal with.
In my experience, top row teeth have always been more of a pain when it comes to recovery (granted if there's no nerve to worry about, just in regular extractions) for me, I find the top row seems to bleed more than the bottom row. I had an issue after having a top tooth pulled, I woke up in the middle of the night with my mouth literally filled with blood, I started choking and coughing up so much blood it looked black. The solution? Stuff your mouth with gauze, like way too much gauze. I've had one extraction since then and I didn't risk it, I put a ridiculous amount of gauze in my mouth because top row bleeds, and I had no issues.
The recovery is more annoying to deal with than painful, sticky blood-filled saliva that you can't comfortably swallow or spit out. You also learn how many times we actually swallow our own saliva in a day when recovering from an extraction. I'd say for me it's generally been about 3-4 days and I feel good again. Hope your recovery goes smooth, I've been watching these challenges for about 5 years now and always look forward to new ones.

Personally I would use an encounter modifying cheat. Randomizer to swap a starter with Hitmon A, walk into grass, encounter cheat to change whatever into Hitmon B. You would just google Platinum encounter cheat, find the code, find the digits that reference the Hitmon, and put it into Cheats. On my system it's under Tools. Then you probably have to hold L or something while walking in the grass (It should say when you find the code), and when you get an encounter it'll be the pokemon you chose. So instead of a level 3 Starly it'll be a level 3 Hitmonchan. I can do the googling and testing for you if you want, but I figured you might want the experience yourself.
I don't think he's done it in a while, but I still try to check the "I'm writing this before the run" thing he puts up bc there was a while where he might put something silly lol

Have you ever done a team run that's required pokemon breeding before? I've watched tons of your videos, but can't recall that ever being a thing!
HeartGold or SoulSilver with the Hitmons can be done through breeding with Ditto. It'd be an interesting run if you start with a Tyrogue first because it will only have tackle until level 20.

If you do this run in another gen, make sure to include Hitmontop!
I'd also thoroughly recommend making him the starter as he's far and away the most annoying evolution of the trio!
For the sake of these runs in future, I think it would be reasonable to use PkHex or similar software to either spawn dittos for breeding tyrogue or just spawn the tyrogues/the other hitmons in your party at set points in the story or after x number of badges.

in gen 2 you can get a Tyrouge and evolve it into hitmonchan or hitmonlee or hitmontop

when i got my wisdom teeth got removed i was knocked out and it took me about 2 weeks before i could eat something other than pudding or apple sauce. it took about a month and a half for the pain to go away. I wish you much love and support on you teeth adventure. Tooth pain SUCKS.

A little note for this run, Hitmonlee wouldn’t have 1 shot Charizard at the end anyway, since you leveled up beforehand, and that resets the badge boost glitch.
No he still would have, badge boosts would have been removed, but meditate was at +6 attack which didn’t reset.
+6 attack Lvl 58 Hitmonchan Body Slam vs. Lvl 65 Charizard: 159-188 (67.3 - 79.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO. This is with max dvs as well. It will always 2 hit at level 58

Pokémon any Gen with the first 6 Pokémon you find in any route, but you can’t evolve them. You can swap out after gym leaders.
Pokémon Any Gen but only using RNG moves (Psywave, Magnitude, etc)
Pokémon Any Gen but you can only use standard poke balls
Pokémon BW2 with only Ns Pokémon
Pokémon HGSS with only headbutt tree and sweet scent Pokémon
Or moves with random # of attacks like Double Kick, Double Slap, Fury Cutter, etc
Fallout NV with thrown melee weapons only
Fallout NV with only Nuka Cola (Nuka breaker and Nuka grenades)
Fallout 4 with only Thirst Zapper

Haven't watched the video yet, but if memory serves, Hitmonlee has like genuinely usable stats and a REALLY WEIRD number of fighting moves. Like nobody thinks about Rolling Kick, but it exists somehow. Against all odds.
Hows about any Gen using Pokemon only starting with M D and B, excluding legendary, pseudo and mythical.
Or, using MOVES only beginning with M D or B in any Gen.
Solo Pidove or solo Sirskit run in any Gen.
So if Lee and Chan are Taka and Funaki, then I feel like Gallade would be Mr. Yamaguchi, Gardevoir would be Mr. Yamaguchi's wife, and Machoke would be Val Venis.

I was fully convince you will loose at the Agatha Fight but it seems even if they was bad status effect has become handy at the end.
Pokémon Challenge suggestion: You are free to go with the game of your choice, but the challenges is using only middle evolution stage pokémon. (For Exemple: If you pick Bulbasaur as your starter, you can only battle with Ivysaur.) You are not allowed to use pokémon who's has no evolution or only 1, it must be a pokémon with a 2 stage linear Evolution. So pokémon like Eevee or Tyrogue are not allowed, but pokémon like Oddish, Poliwag or Ralts are allowed.

I have an idea for a fun challenge, One that means you could even use Drowzee. Can you beat Pokemon Black (Or any game from gen's 5 ,6 or 7) with only the move Assist? Purrloin learns Assist at level 6 so it'd be the starter, Then if you get a male Purrloin you can breed it with other's to get more Pokemon. I think this would be a great wacky challenge since the more Pokemon on your team the more random the move is.
For any that don't know Assist uses a random move known by any of the user's party Pokémon, With some exceptions. So even Pokemon that can't use Assist would still be useful if they have good moves that Assist can use. Drowzee is in the Human-Like Egg Group so If you want one with Assist you'd need a Spinda since they're in the Field and Human-Like Egg Groups so can breed with Purrloin and Drowzee. You could also use a Chimchar as a starter if you give it Assist as an Egg Move, They're also in the Field and Human-Like Egg Groups so a male one can breed the move into any Pokemon with Assist.
It shouldn't be too hard. I mean, they aren't spectacular, but they aren't horrible, either. And you don't even need to circunvent Hitmonlee's problems with ghost types, thanks to hitmonchan. I mean, sure, there is Seismic Toss, but that move won't be AS good later in the game.
Also, Agatha is a nightmare if you can't pivot. With two pokémon, though? She is much more manageable.
4:17 With Mega Punch Misty shouldn't be too hard.
4:41 ...Like Mega Punch? Sure, Mega Punch is a worse Body Slam, but for Misty is a life saver in this case.
Challenge suggestion: Can you beat Pokemon _______ with only new eeveelutions? Gen 1 would be Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon, Gen 2 with Espeon and Umbreon, Gen 4 with Glaceon and Leafeon and Gen 6 with Sylveon (if you wanna do gen 6)

By the way, have you checked the options in the randomizer? I know there's an option for making impossible evolutions possible for the Universal Pokémon Randomizer. That's the one I use. As for the Hitmons in DDPt, the best I can come up with that doesn't require repeatedly re-randomizing trades would be to pick one then breed for the others.
MDBAMA, whenever you take a challenge request, do you do any research on if it might be possible, or do you just YOLO it just because you like the idea?
Basically this challenge was:
-Hitmonlee: Mom i was selected to do a pokemon red challenge!.
-Mom: Okay but take your little brother hitmonchan with you.
-Hitmonlee: But mooooom.
@MahDryBread little voiceover tip: green apples help get rid of the gross mouth noises you were talking about; just munch on one between takes. Obviously not helpful for during your recovery (during which you should be resting instead of working anyway), but a good trick for later.

Hitmonchan is my favorite Pokémon every few months I see if there’s a run somebody does with him. It’s not a solo run but I’m glad somebody used him recently even those he’s terrible. Praying he gets a mega and hits like a truck in the next game 🙏
You didn’t say, but I assume you replaced bulbasaur so your rival would eventually have Charizard. Likely the hardest for you to fight due to his high special fire moves and flying typing to resist fighting moves. Enjoy this comment, algorithm.
You showed the SilphCo rival fight, SilhpCo Giovanni, Sabrina, Giovanni gym and Victory Road rival without ever showing the overworld and it was hard to keep up
Mbdama, I've noticed that Pokemon and wrestling are like your big things/Hobby's/things done for this channel did you ever connect them as a child, like discovered Pokemon becuase of wrestling or wrestling because of Pokemon?
I don't think someone who beat the whole game just by using Magikarp, Shuckle and Sunkern as "casual player" lolz, but I kinda get your point there. and also I really surprised you could easily beat Agatha like that, I thought you would have to grind many hours to beat her. but then again, this is gen I which all kind of weirdness could be happened.......
You probably should have kept Agility on Hitmonchan to do some badge boost glitch shenanigans. And Fire Punch was pretty much useless... At least you could have replaced Fire Punch with Strength to give Hitmonchan a good neutral hit.
I always preferred Hitmonchan but let's be honest; it was clearly *worse* then Hitmonlee until Gen 4.
Hmm... Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and Hitmontop run in Plat? Or B/W? Maybe a Gen 6 run for something new?
MDB, I have bad experiences with dentists, having my teeth removed in particular. Hopefully things will be better for you, pain-wise.
