The atmosphere at the wales Ireland game was just epic. The sheer volume from both sets of supporters when points were scored dwarfed the roar of woodcocks try in the final.
I don't have to work the weekends. When seeing the title "best tries" naturally I was curious imagine my none surprise when I fell asleep while watching them.
Yeah. It truly was. I also liked the try from Argentina vs All Blacks in semi final. The only thing missing is Thierry Dusautoir's try in the final. That was a great one. Well done on the vid.
Best tries in this vid for me have to be the Australian try against Italy, Argentina's try vs NZ coz Contepommi's handling was world class and my fav try was big old Gethin Jenkins against Namibia, a prop forward sidestepping, then dummying, then a charge from 22 to the line... quality and also very humourous. As Gareth Thomas said 'As soon as he crossed the 22 he could smell the burer van and there was no stopping him from there' ahaha yes Alfie!!!
This is a great video, normally when you watch videos like this you can always tell what country the creator is from, but with this video i really cant tell. Fantastic Video !! :)
Was at a pub once in Wales, where they were playing music during an international. Not for long like, it was a riot until they turned the crap off. What was this guy thinking ?
Not to sound like a hater but ...there is at least 2 obstruction in that try !! And winning a game with this try, and with an enormous "tolerance" on AB's faults from Mister Joubert aka "the stoler" or "mafioso" doesn't make it for me like the "best try of the WC2011" ... shit that's it I am finally a hater ! ;) Fair play to the men in black anyway, they deserve the win after their great course to reach the final. PS : of course man, I'm french
They missed some great Samoan Tries, they played really well throughout the tournament, looking forward to 2015! Personally my favorite is Mike Phillips, not the first time he has caught the Irish sleeping :')
My fav try at about 7:00 for Argentina, superb handling skills by Contepomi, shame what happened to him against us in Cardiff during the Autumn, a great talisman for Argentine ruggers
Last year in Sydney two top high school teams played, one from league (QLD) and one from union (NSW). The union team won. You are living in the past mate, league has fallen beyond, glory days are long gone.
What about the try with sonny bills super one handed offload? Or John Davies super try vs Ireland to seal the win? This compilation seems to be missing some of the best tries
Considering that RU was Olympic up until 1924, there has always been a demand for it. Problem is that given the length of recovery time needed for such a tight schedule, choosing sevens format was the best choice.
best game in the finals was AUS vs RSA in the quater final. Amazing match and a very tight score, couldnt get any better though with AUS winning in the end of an 80 minute thriller!!!
i kind of know what your saying but many people do dives similar to him, or a celebration afterwards. what about people in super 15s that do little dances after they score?
PROP GOALS, ALL DA BEST ONES HERE. Oh and the one where the lock's were toying with the other team then passed it off and then the other guy scored the try. xD
Mayhaps. A lot can change in three years, injuries retirement ect. so I wouldn't discount any of the RBS 6 nations or the Rugby Challenge (I think that's what they're calling it now) teams until the 2015 RWC kicks off. England's coach just needs to utilise more of his forwards and allow some of the other backs who don't see much of the ball and they'll be real contenders for the crown.
The RU's line between image and reality is something they have grown very proficient in blurring. When someone asks the question why is RL and RU different it humbles RU greatly to hear that the best teams in England decided core parts of RU were antiquated indulgences not worthy of a paying audience. And to a large part responsible for the fall of Rugby as the most popular football in England.
Game of the cup in my opinion was Russia v USA not a pretty game by any stretch of the imagination, but hell, watching those 2 countries slug it out was amazing to see!
NZ have a lot of quality players simply because we love the sport and maybe because we are superior athletes when it comes to rugby we are born and bred competitors, For a country with less people than an english city we constantly punch above our weight in all sports And by the way All Black back line has been the best as a whole since ages ago......hands down. Peace
This World Cup was good. Some temas showed a great level (Samoa for instance), others show their progress and make us think that rugby is becoming more and more popular. And big up to Russia for their first attending ! A few regrets on my side : 1) France hasn't shown It's true level 2) I'd have prefered Wales to win the third place, for their great performance 3) Scotland failed in the 10 last minutes of 2 games ( vs England and Argentina) and missed the quarter finals Rugger is my DRUG
Having said that (and this goes against every fibre of my being as a Wallabies supporter), I kinda hope one of the smaller teams win it. Could be good for the health of the game in other nations outside England, Aus, NZ and South Af.
Some came back shortly after to retire. RU is a lot easier to play if you want to extend your career. In 1995 when U became honest they could openly earn their money in an easier game. None of the players mentioned believe their toughest game was ever played in a U jersey.
Seeing as England is so widely reviled as an Englishman I relish every time Ashton dives as a way of sticking two fingers up at every other rugby playing country
Well opinions do not necessarily carry the same weight. An examination of the flaws in RU does stand up to scrutiny and if there are two sports that are not totally different then it is these. The real difference between them is in the attitudes and influence of the governing bodies. RL rules are based on the removal of the flaws of RU. Because of this RU has not changed all that much
In 1966 England hosted the World Cup. England won. The final at Wembley hosted 96,000 people to see England beat West Germany 4-2. This is the National game, national team, national never ending source of references and documentaries. 1966 Wembley, Wigan v Saints, Challenge cup final, 98,500 spectators. RU in the UK survived for 100 years only on its attitude and influence against RL and national support for a national team.
I highlight the flaws to you as you need the help. My original comment was to an American who thought the US had qualified with flying colours for 2011. I pointed out they had scraped through on aggregate against a country that has only 8 RU pitches in the whole nation. Actually only Davis and Tuigamala shined. Davis admits himself it took 2 years to understand his role and fulfill his potential and Tuigamala was nurtured for 10 weeks as a NZRU international before he was ready for domestic RL.
We aren't going to mention France here, truth is Wales were cheated out of the Final by a bastard French Ref and then France played pretty shit in the Final, getting lucky a few times, even Dan Carter said looking at Wales form it's lucky we were cheated out of the Final as even he said Wales may well have won!
Yeah but they aren't special, all the French do is offload to their Centres who run the ball about ten meters every time they're in a spot of bother, the French are well known for kicking, but ball running isn't one of their strong points.
@zepaddy 1) Come off it, France played amazing. To match the all blacks on home ground like that in the final. They played the game of their lives. You couldnt have asked for any more from them in that game. The other games they coasted but thats how the french are, they only play to the level of the opposition and do enough to get by. They didnt do that in the final though, they played from the first whistle to the last. It was an epic game, no other team in the world would have come so close
Although it still hurts me, I think the best try in the RWC was the one from George North against Ireland (touche-pass-pass-dribbleHIT, & run)*. Still, from this video, the one from the Welsh prop and the one from Shane Williams avoiding the avant with his foot. *Wait, I know realise it's from the 6N xD
@optimuskgb Some of the talent in the NH is superb, okay Scotland have lost their first 3 games but Hogg, Denton and Rennie have been superb, Ireland have a fearsome pack with Ferris, O'Brian, Heaslip and O'Connell to name a few. Wales (my home nation) have some superb backs and talented forwards, England's side look very good this weekend with Farrell looking promising, Morgan and Botha were awesome aswell.
Really like Welsh Captain Jonathan Davis, Scott Gibbs, Scott Quinell, and Tuigamala. All of who came to RL at the height of their career and returned to RU as much better players. Is that the best you can do. Seems my first sentence was 100% accurate. No surprise there then.
im sure he doesn't care. many people have done it before him, it's just that he had scored so many tries that people began to dislike him. It's not the dive that annoys people, just how many tries he scored e.g. if he did it once no one would care.
The atmosphere at the wales Ireland game was just epic. The sheer volume from both sets of supporters when points were scored dwarfed the roar of woodcocks try in the final.
I liked the music, helped free the mind well enjoying beautiful displays off rugby poetry
That Argentinian one with Leguizamon was tasty...
Shane Williams's try! Just perfect!
I don't have to work the weekends. When seeing the title "best tries" naturally I was curious imagine my none surprise when I fell asleep while watching them.
Absolutely my favourite as well, that dummy pass was amazing and the will and determination to get to the try line
Yeah. It truly was. I also liked the try from Argentina vs All Blacks in semi final. The only thing missing is Thierry Dusautoir's try in the final. That was a great one. Well done on the vid.
Roll on 2015 - starts on my birthday so excited!
Despite being a Wales supporter, Heiz Kohl's try is my favourite. Brilliant work.
THUMBS IF YOU PLAY
exactly man, as do we all. Still, wouldn't be surprised if it was a Wallabies Wales final. That, and they always play brilliantly against each other.
that Mike Phillips try vs Ireland still sends shivers down my spine, superb! Gethin'stry is just pure epicness too!
Heinz Kolle's try is my favourite, never say die attitude and an amazing dummy pass by a lock FTW!!!!
I love the rwc as little teams like Namibia, have nothing too lose and try different things and can often score some blinders
i like the the prop runs makes them feel ossim
Best tries in this vid for me have to be the Australian try against Italy, Argentina's try vs NZ coz Contepommi's handling was world class and my fav try was big old Gethin Jenkins against Namibia, a prop forward sidestepping, then dummying, then a charge from 22 to the line... quality and also very humourous. As Gareth Thomas said 'As soon as he crossed the 22 he could smell the burer van and there was no stopping him from there' ahaha yes Alfie!!!
Should be some of Wales tries against Fiji in here
Now I'm Irish and even I agree with that
And the cross kick to North vs SA
That wasn't in the World Cup, that was a year before on Norths debut in Cardiff
This is a great video, normally when you watch videos like this you can always tell what country the creator is from, but with this video i really cant tell. Fantastic Video !! :)
Vincent Clerc's try is absolutely awesome! Allez les Bleus :-)!!!
another great great try was artemievs try against ireland in the group stages. we trained him well in his schoolboy days in blackrock
1st song : I will not bow / Breaking Benjamin
2nd song : Dance with the devil / Breaking Benjamin
3rd song : Diary of Jane / Breaking Benjamin
Was at a pub once in Wales, where they were playing music during an international. Not for long like, it was a riot until they turned the crap off. What was this guy thinking ?
I love Woodcock's try.
I KNOW RIGHT
Not to sound like a hater but ...there is at least 2 obstruction in that try !!
And winning a game with this try, and with an enormous "tolerance" on AB's faults from Mister Joubert aka "the stoler" or "mafioso" doesn't make it for me like the "best try of the WC2011" ... shit that's it I am finally a hater ! ;)
Fair play to the men in black anyway, they deserve the win after their great course to reach the final.
PS : of course man, I'm french
They missed some great Samoan Tries, they played really well throughout the tournament, looking forward to 2015! Personally my favorite is Mike Phillips, not the first time he has caught the Irish sleeping :')
It's always so cute when props get tries
Динамичная мощная игра. Не для слабаков и слабонервных Некоторое время играл в юношеском возрасте - вспоминаю с ужасом...
where are the 50 tryes of All blacks?
My fav try at about 7:00 for Argentina, superb handling skills by Contepomi, shame what happened to him against us in Cardiff during the Autumn, a great talisman for Argentine ruggers
Last year in Sydney two top high school teams played, one from league (QLD) and one from union (NSW). The union team won. You are living in the past mate, league has fallen beyond, glory days are long gone.
nice to see lots of french tries! they were finalists for god sake and vincent clerc was joint top try scorer!!!!!
I love rugby and Breaking Benjamin so thanks Nacho Pannunzio.
6:01 that dummy against Wales was epic
1.41 all he did was catch the ball and score a try but amazing video definite subscribe
i remember some fantastic tries by Samoa, it's strange there is no one of them in this vid
5:13 He simply discards the official and continues on his course.
the music is sick, Breaking Benjamin are insane. I will not bow, Dance with the devil and Diary of Jane all good songs.
The music...Had to watch on mute.
Yeah, it's almost as if people have different opinions or something.
PREEST P there is nothing wrong with Breaking Benjamin, i like their music, but i guess some people dont
i kind of know what your saying but many people do dives similar to him, or a celebration afterwards. what about people in super 15s that do little dances after they score?
PROP GOALS, ALL DA BEST ONES HERE. Oh and the one where the lock's were toying with the other team then passed it off and then the other guy scored the try. xD
The skill of that Welsh prop
I like how number 7 knocked him in, I also love it cause he plays my position :D PROP PRIDE
3:27 and 2:37 are BRILLIANT!
haha Namibia scored some pretty good tries :D glad to see them have a good go
...a pick and go is the best try out of all of the beautiful teamwork and individual skill i just watched?
The RU's line between image and reality is something they have grown very proficient in blurring. When someone asks the question why is RL and RU different it humbles RU greatly to hear that the best teams in England decided core parts of RU were antiquated indulgences not worthy of a paying audience. And to a large part responsible for the fall of Rugby as the most popular football in England.
I'm Welsh and Gethin's (the prop's try) was wonderful but I have to say I thought Argentina's try against ABs was the best of the lot!
Game of the cup in my opinion was Russia v USA not a pretty game by any stretch of the imagination, but hell, watching those 2 countries slug it out was amazing to see!
Even though he is Welsh I love seeing a front row player smash through to the try line
When Wales scored against Australia at the end, it was a massive forward pass
For me it's between Gethin Jenkins, the Argentine one vs New Zealand, any involving Israel Dagg and the England one against Romania
NZ have a lot of quality players simply because we love the sport and maybe because we are superior athletes when it comes to rugby we are born and bred competitors, For a country with less people than an english city we constantly punch above our weight in all sports
And by the way All Black back line has been the best as a whole since ages ago......hands down.
Peace
The japanese are getting better, and they are fast. One day, one day they will be a force to contend with.
Seems to be very smart as most people wouldnt even be thinking about that
awesome music!
FANTASTIC.
Coming from a Welsh supporter... It has to be Heinz Kohl's for Namibia. Even I jumped up when he scored that.
This World Cup was good. Some temas showed a great level (Samoa for instance), others show their progress and make us think that rugby is becoming more and more popular. And big up to Russia for their first attending !
A few regrets on my side :
1) France hasn't shown It's true level
2) I'd have prefered Wales to win the third place, for their great performance
3) Scotland failed in the 10 last minutes of 2 games ( vs England and Argentina) and missed the quarter finals
Rugger is my DRUG
Having said that (and this goes against every fibre of my being as a Wallabies supporter), I kinda hope one of the smaller teams win it. Could be good for the health of the game in other nations outside England, Aus, NZ and South Af.
Shane Williams try vs Australia, the pass from Hook was the most blatant forward pass/knock on ever!
Some came back shortly after to retire. RU is a lot easier to play if you want to extend your career. In 1995 when U became honest they could openly earn their money in an easier game. None of the players mentioned believe their toughest game was ever played in a U jersey.
That try against Australia at 3:54 is hilarious until you look at the top left corner...
This rwc will always be the most epic of all time. Shout-out to the editor of the vid.
2:43 There starts one of the best tries who existed in the rugby world cup 2011
Vamos argentinaa♥
Seeing as England is so widely reviled as an Englishman I relish every time Ashton dives as a way of sticking two fingers up at every other rugby playing country
5:30 - so proud of Canada watching that! As for the game v. NZ,........ well, we did score two tries.. But who actually expected us to win THAT match?
Thierry Dusautoir's try in the final? I'd have said that was definitely one of the best....
Because of this RU has not changed all that much
just because the scrum is loose does not mean it is not strong. But, you have to agree it was loose.
best quality out of all the rugby vids! :)

shane williams incredible... what a pity for the final, wales deserved much more than france
Thanks for video, some great tries there
wats the name of all three songs u have on this video n the artists
Well thats a nice variety of music -_-
Gethin jenkins, ridiculous.
then youll be delighted to hear that 15 man union is becoming an olympic sport in 2012! are you as excited as me?
THIS WAS AN AWESOME TOURNAMENT. BIG LEAGUE FAN BUT I ENVY RUGBY, MORE PROFESSIONAL ALOT SAFER AND GONE WITH THUGGERY
i will not bow - breaking benjamin, dance with the devil - breaking benjamin, diary of jane - breaking benjamin :)
Loved the compilation of tries, but the music was distracting.
@zepaddy 1) Come off it, France played amazing. To match the all blacks on home ground like that in the final. They played the game of their lives. Where was Alesana Tuilangi's try against the wallabies?
i will not bow breaking benjamin
great song!
It took a while for NZ to win it hope good lucks NZ in 2015 might be the first team to win two rugby world cups in a row
@optimuskgb Some of the talent in the NH is superb, okay Scotland have lost their first 3 games but Hogg, Denton and Rennie have been superb, Ireland have a fearsome pack with Ferris, O'Brian, Heaslip and O'Connell to name a few. shane williams with the grubbers. pure gold
is the music by breaking benjamin ?
Had to mute the video, I was overdosing on shit music.
oldskoolmacboy same here who is this dick.
oldskoolmacboy Shit music? You must not have good taste in music.
+Rsps Primordial I loved the music
SMC01ful Go listen to your shit lil wayne and horrible rappers.
I am sitting beside my dog and he is enjoying the music
Great selection!
All the tries started drying up after the quarters. Still a great tournament!
Podemos tener el mismo video pero sin la música por fa?
in 15 years rugby will be much bigger in the USA. It is the fastest growing sport in the US
im sure he doesn't care. many people have done it before him, it's just that he had scored so many tries that people began to dislike him. It's not the dive that annoys people, just how many tries he scored e.g. if he did it once no one would care.
