And to think that he's got a medal in these X-Games after all this time. He's one of those spectacular people that deserves such honor. I feel he's a bit under-rated. He deserves much more! Go Danny "The Warrior" Way!!
I used to watch this when I was 15. I did lots of skating in my life. Now I'm 30, but thinking about skating with my friends, not much has beaten those times...
2002 i was lucky enough to meet the guy they call D.Way, legends of vert, wembley arena......burnquist,hawk,glifberg were all skating the vert. Danny spent so much time signing autographs and yet still dominated the vert. he is a superb example of improving while aging. he is now in his mid 40's and still sets new barriers for vert skating. for a vert skater to put out an equally sik street part is very impressive even by todays standards, keep in mind that questionable is almost 20 years old.
i like how as his part goes on, you can see how skateboarding has changed. starting with way old school, then to vert, and ending with more street style skating.
i just rediscovered this part, its so amazing! i think marc johnson was inspired by this part because you can also see a frontboard to fs noseblunt and lipslide to nosebluntslide in his fully flared part, even though they are unsual tricks... and danny way did em in ´92!
why does everyone take thses comments wrong!i never said at all that i didnt like the part or i hated it. i think the 90's videos are still way better then some of todays. i aslo give D way a lot of respect for all the things he does vert and street cuase he's one of the best pioneers of skateboarding
lol i do skate but all i was sayin is comparing skaters is basically comparing biceps, kinda jockish, i didn't mean to be harsh or nethin. but u have to admit tony hawk has had a HUGE impact on the sport, not so much because of his skating ability, but because of his commercial appeal. i guarantee skateboarding wouldn't be where it is today if those tony hawk games didn't come out, but pure respect to danny and colin for sure. we're all just having fun skating keep progressing dude
haha, vert is also skateboarding.. I´m too street skater and loving it, Mullen is my inspiration. But as a street skaters we should not to diss vert skaters, it might be really beautiful to watch, like this video´s Danny killing vert. I have to give DW much respect because he is pro with both. Vert and street. For example, Tony Hawk sucks with street, really, compared to other famous skaters. Oh btw Rodney has won even one vert contest. :D
i taped over this video like 10 years ago, and my brother called me on it today, what was that movie you taped over? had to look it up, love this movie.
I'm just implying the fact of what's now to what it was in the past. If you were your age but in that exact time frame when Questionable came out, you would have been blown away with shit Danny Way was pulling off. Besides, the internet was not popular back then as it was after 1998-- when it SERIOUSLY bloomed! They had to use mags and word from other skaters just to make that as a formitable network. I know this because I lived that era (even for being that young).
no, an alley oop is just moving front side but actually turning backside or vice versa. We used to call it rock walks a long time ago, Chris Strople tore em'.
2:39 Cuntie McGee: Why don't you go home to your mom, OK? Danny Way: Hey, I make more money then you, skateboarding, I guarantee! Erik Estrada: You have exactly one minute to get out of my sight. Classic.
an alley oop is any spin done in the direction that is more difficult, i.e. requires a little extra rotation. If you are riding up a quarterpipe with your heels facing the coping, a fs 360 would be called an alley oop fs 360, whereas a bs 360 would just be called a bs 360.
@Mr8bitskater: FYI, Street Skating was booming in the early 90s bro. Back then, what Danny Way was doing was considered the shit. This is not like how it is now with all the Chris Cole, Ryan Sheckler spot-on, has-to-be-landed-perfect shit. Back then, when a skater did a new trick it was a trick that has never been seen before. Want to know your history, look up World Industries "The Man Who Souled the World" and that will set the tone on how street became STREET as it is today.
fuck yeah!!! he is the best vert skater ever, well better than hawk or anyone else. and he snowboards as well. im a skater and a snowboarder, but compared to him im a complete and proper n00b!
Best video ever

Virtual Reality is. But this is a great one.

this guy doesn't keep up with the skate trends, he sets them!
Memories. Nothing but good memories.
And to think that he's got a medal in these X-Games after all this time. He's one of those spectacular people that deserves such honor. I feel he's a bit under-rated. He deserves much more! Go Danny "The Warrior" Way!!
Big pants, little wheels. Those were MY days. R.I.P.
one of the most exciting skateboard video trilogies ever !!!
Best days of my Life. This era of skating ❤
I honest;y believe that danny way is one of the greatest skateboarders of all time.
I used to watch this when I was 15. I did lots of skating in my life. Now I'm 30, but thinking about skating with my friends, not much has beaten those times...
i bought this on ebay, this video gets me more pumped to skate than new videos for sure.

why does everyone take thses comments wrong!i never said at all that i didnt like the part or i hated it. i think the 90's videos are still way better then some of todays. i aslo give D way a lot of respect for all the things he does vert and street cuase he's one of the best pioneers of skateboarding

lol i do skate but all i was sayin is comparing skaters is basically comparing biceps, kinda jockish, i didn't mean to be harsh or nethin. but u have to admit tony hawk has had a HUGE impact on the sport, not so much because of his skating ability, but because of his commercial appeal. i guarantee skateboarding wouldn't be where it is today if those tony hawk games didn't come out, but pure respect to danny and colin for sure. we're all just having fun skating keep progressing dude

Oh the 90's, when a back 360 was an BIG ender...
Danny Way was the reason I started doing blunt slides - well, him and Rodney Mullen. Fuck I'm old.
that boardslide was the best i think i have ever seen
so ahead of his time
Have u ever seen anybody who kicks ass at both vert AND street as much as danny? I didn't think so
awsome skate video with him mullen carroll QUESTIONABLE PLAN B IS SUPER killer and his versitile skatin rox.
Never mind the vert skating (which was sick!). I was soo stoked on his street abilities.
the future of skateboarding has arrived
awesome
@bobandtheevilturnips @3. They called it 540 Method, it was his version of the mctwist
i taped over this video like 10 years ago, and my brother called me on it today, what was that movie you taped over? had to look it up, love this movie.
who knew he could skate street that well!
@masterlakai They called it 540 Method, it was his version of the mctwist
@shawndidge1 they stopped existing in the early - mid 90's then came back in 04/05
THAT back 360. :O
haha the ending was hilarius!
Legend.
@adda89 not too sure, i think it was people leaving the team.
then danny and colin mckay decided to bring it back

1:59 for best part.
what happened to the RED DRAGONS and Moses Iketon!
4:00 Marc Johnson does one 16 years later in Fully Flared.
no, an alley oop is just moving front side but actually turning backside or vice versa. We used to call it rock walks a long time ago, Chris Strople tore em'.
does anyone know where i can get the song heaven is fallen cause i cant find it on itunes?
I tthink it is like doing a 270 on a quarter pipe (go in on an angle...) it works best when you are going down a downhill halfpipe for example.
comparing skaters like that is exactly the opposite of what skateboardings about
@sk8vidsofskaters he is he can skate street as well as vert
i think
he does look older but not much. Still basically looks the same even to this day.
and the smartest people on earth have fun while making their money
2:39
Cuntie McGee: Why don't you go home to your mom, OK?
Danny Way: Hey, I make more money then you, skateboarding, I guarantee!
Erik Estrada: You have exactly one minute to get out of my sight.
Classic.
by the way is 0:34 an inward heel flip or a pressure varial?
He says, I make more money than you, I guarantee

Ken block and Damon Way, his brother.

THOSE WHEELS in the beginning were so fuckin small...

Danny Way is the owner of Plan B with Colin Mckay.
