I've seen Wicked for the first time with her. I just don't understand why people don't talk about her. She sounds amazing alive. It was such a unique moment seeing her defy gravity and sing No good deed, my favorite one. Then, I saw the show again at the Gershwin with Lindsay Heatherpierce and the National tour with Emily Kristen Morris. From all of them, Hannah was the one who impressed me the most. But my top favorite Elphie is the Brazilian Myra Ruiz with whom I've seen twice.
Hannah’s overall performance in Wicked was really shocking for me. I never had high hopes when i first heard that she was casted but she quickly dispelled that
We saw her in January during her run, and she was honestly one of the most unique portrayals of Elphaba (in a good way). Everything she did was so calculated and nuanced, she felt fresh! Her "No Good Deed" was absolutely breathtaking
A mix. Some of them are automated - there are a few up in the flies above the stage that are manually controlled. If you sit front row at the Gershwin, you can see them up there :)

@@anagasteyerchicagoera8216 she was the first Elphaba that I’d heard sing this song other than the original and I honestly fell in love!!

Pls I have a question....those spotlights...are those manually operated...or are those automatic?
Just curiosity... 😀
I think they are automated
