Congratulations on completing the trail Anthony! As Tolkien said, there's only one road we follow... Its been great having you back on UA-cam and watching your adventures again... Until next time!
Congratulations on completing the trail. Loved the videos- it’s great that you do them and post them as you go. Don’t dismiss the Coast to Coast as too busy. It has its busy parts but there is lots of solitude too. Bear in mind that the on the North York Moors the C2C and Cleveland Way run together for a good stretch. I think you said you saw virtually nobody that day. Thanks again for posting this .
@@alastairharvey7057 thanks Alastair. Although it’s a bit of a challenge to edit and post the videos after a long day walking, I am glad I do it that way as I do like to watch them back. Good shout about the C2C having some quieter parts. I did see a couple of people who were on the C2C when I was crossing the moors, but it was mostly very quiet. I suppose I ought to tick the C2C off just to say I’ve completed it!
Well done Anthony, another trail completed and decent weather on the last day to finish it off nicely. It was an enjoyable watch and nice to see you post. You had some tough days and mixed weather to cope with but you knocked it out of the park. Will be waiting in the wings to watch your next adventure in 2025. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Tony. It was certainly a mixed bag with the weather, but fortunately nothing too horrendous. I’ll need to give some thought of the winter to the next adventure. Have you got anything in the pipeline for next year?
Thanks for watching the series. Definitely a fab coastline. I’ve walked down to Flamborough past Bempton cliffs to see the puffins. It’s a beautiful area
Thanks for the videos Anthony. Nice memories of our 2021 walk along the trail. You should have carried on down the Wolds Way for a further 79 miles. That's a nice walk, but obviously only short as a stand alone. The Cotswolds Way is good too, but again only 102 miles, Whatever you choose, if you decide to share it on UA-cam, we look forward to watching the adventure. ATB Simon & Sue.
Thanks both for watching the videos and the support and encouragement along the way. Funnily enough, I did think about whether or not to carry on down the Yorkshire Wolds Way when I was planning this. Probably should have done so really as it would have been a good opportunity to continue walking!
I forgot about your dreaded bars lol. You put me off them for life. Well done for completing the course. When you leave one unfinished, it niggles in your mind but now it's complete. The last leg looked a lovely stretch to walk. Offahs dyke has some beautiful scenery and an old abbey along the way. It's quite a walk. I live beside part of the Viking Way. It runs behind my home so obviously I've walked parts of that but not all it. My friend Tim rode from lands end to John o'grotes for charity but walking it is quite a daunting task. Enjoy your weekend and so glad your daughter was well enough to make it. Congratulations again and your achievement which was well deserved and thanks for bringing us along 😊
Thanks for watching the series of videos Kelly. Glad I’ve put you off grenade bars as you’re definitely not missing anything! I’ll keep everyone posted on the next trail. Will seem strange not having something to train for over the winter months, but I’ll get back into the planning and training next spring
Love the videos and covering this stunning part of the UK. I've walked Robin Hoods Bay to Scarborough before, and loved every second of it! Good luck on future walks 😊
Congratulations! You made it look easy but I know how tough parts of that route are! You deserve bonus points for doing it all without a single grenade bar! 😂😊
Hey, well done Anthony, laid a few ghosts to rest there I reckon! Pity about the weather on one or two of the sections, but all in all looks a great trail. Definitely on my to-do list. Don't leave it too long before the next one, your films are highly watchable.
@@maurice5992 Thanks for watching the series Maurice. I enjoyed the Cleveland Way and would highly recommend giving it a go if you get the chance. I’ll be planning another adventure for 2025.
Absolutely loved this series of videos, entertaining and albiet some pretty dismal weather, fantastic scenery! Thanks Anthony, cant wait for your next adventure, in the meantime im going to get into your Pennine way adventure.
@@padventures-life Thanks for watching. I think I used up my good luck with the weather when I walked the Pennine Way. I still enjoyed the Cleveland Way. The mix of moorland and coastal paths makes for an interesting walk
Congratulations! 🎉 Thank you for sharing. Great content as usual! One hike to consider would be the tour de Mont Blanc it’s visually breathtaking, something you’d always remember. Quieter month to hike it would be to do it in June.
Well done Anthony, going back to the troll you had. Don't let anyone dictate to you, it's your walk you do it how you want. If you want to wild camp or If you want to stay in B&Bs that is entirely up to you. Love watching your videos keep it up.👍
@@nigelgoodwin7972 Thanks Nigel. I don’t pay any attention to the trolls. You’re spot in that it’s entirely up to the individual how they complete the trail. It’s definitely all about the adventure
Although the C2C is fairly busy you can certainly make your own space, obviously there will be some larger groups, but they tend to be travelling at a different pace. We didn't see anyone else on Offas Dyke (April), apart from one cafe where about 5 individuals came in at different times. Having done the PW, I will probably do it again sometime, but will first make a start on the Scottish National Trail, I like the idea that it carries on from KY. I'm off to NZ to walk the TA next month, somewhere between excited and terrified, my idea of a long walk is about to be recalibrated.
@@AmblingMan thanks for watching the videos. Sounds like you’ve got some fab adventures planned. I’d love to explore NZ at some point. Looks like a beautiful country

Congratulations on completing the Cleveland Way, Anthony! 👏 I live as a lodger in a house where the fridge always seems to be full of Grenade Bars... Never tried one myself but always thinking of you on the Pennine Way! 😉 All the best and I look forward to following your choice for 2025. Unfortunately, you're not wrong about weather to the west!
Thanks Olly. I feel sorry for whoever those grenade bars belong to. I’d recommend steering well clear, unless it is a life or death situation 😆. Thanks for watching the Cleveland Way series. Do you have any long distance trails planned over the next 12 months?
@@AnthonyJohnson1 I was supposed to be doing the Cumbria Way this week... But I've bottled it. Next year, I might do the Two Moors Way or maybe, the West Highland Way - but like yourself, I'm a bit put off by how popular that route appears to be.
Hi Anthony congratulations on finally completing the Cleveland way , I’ve been binge watching your videos over the last couple of days and really enjoyed them, shame about the weather on some of the coastal sections but there’s nothing you can do about that when you’re walking for a week is there? I did this walk in day sections over a two year period back in the late 1990’s but I think I would like to do it like you. atb mate it’s a big 👍from me
Thanks for watching Glenn. Yes, the weather is a bit of a lottery when taking on the long distance trails. I was pleased it didn’t rain too much, but the views were definitely a bit limited at times!

Thanks Nathan. Very wise words from Tolkien. A long winter now awaits, but will give time to start thinking about the next adventure
Finally got round to watching these. Well done on another great trail completion!
