Now this is going to be one epic adventure!! All the very best!! Hope you see some sunshine and a nice breeze to keep it cool and keep the bugs away too!
As a fellow youtuber I love watching otber folks videos. I mainly walk the Wales coastal path but did the Cleveland Way last year. I dont think that trail will ever be beaten for me. Its so special and just wonderful to do. I stayed at a hotel in Osmotherley and couldnt resist having quite a few beers before a 6.30 start to Kildale. Looking forward to the rest of vids .good luck
A great first day, Anthony. Typical British weather, too, with the wind and rain. It is beautiful out there with the Heather still in bloom. Autumn is definitely on the way. Good to have hostels & B&B on the way too. I'm looking forward to part two.
Ant, I’m loving this! So glad you chose to still do a National Trail and especially this one. I’m actually on episode 3 now but felt this one needed a comment. The Cleveland Way is not a trail I had considered but after seeing this, it’s now added to my list of to dos. I feel you made the right choice going at this time of year as opposed to later in the year. I prefer it when I can take my time enough to see some of the sights around me. In saying that, 20 miles + is something to be proud of. As a backpacker I struggle with anything over 17 miles so if I did it I’d have to plan my camping areas carefully. It does look a stunning trail though and definitely worth the hard work. Thankyou for filming and giving us a look at what to expect. I always enjoy your videos and seeing your adventures. 🙂
@@lucybailey6802 It’s a fab trail. Very different from the Pennine Way but still a very good challenge, particularly the second day over the moors. That day was as tough as any I did on the PW. The camping options look decent too and should allow a longer walk than the one I did. I’d prefer to ease myself in to the trail with shorter days but it’s not really an option on the first 2 days unless you’re camping. Thanks very much for watching. Look forward to hearing about your next trail when you’ve made plans
Hope today went well for you and it wasn't too foggy. You're doing marvellous as twenty miles isn't to be sniffed at. Hope the weather picks up for the trek. So nice to see you back. Rooting for you to complete it this time, you deserve it. Never seen so many pheasants in my life and some great views along the way. Keep up the good work and best of luck 😊
I'm glad I caught wind of you doing this on Twitter, Antony. Though I wasn't expecting the first video so soon! ;-) Good to see you returning to the Cleveland Way and I'm impressed you made it all the way to Osmotherly on day one. Looking forward to following each day as it comes. All the best.
Good Luck!! I watched your first time round. It took me till my third attempt to get this one bagged. You’re far more experienced than I was then so you’ve got this Antony. Looking forward to watching you progress! Smash it mate!!
Hi Anthony, ahh bringing back the memories of my time on this trail, tough day coming up 5000 ft of accent is same as Yorkshire 3 peaks so best of luck, enjoyed this first vid cheers nigel
Great to see you back on UA-cam and back on trail Anthony... Will song of the day be making a return? A great first day, looking forward to following your journey!
A good solid first day Anthony, shame the weather was a little hit and miss, but that is hiking for you. I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since the your first long distance hike, where has the time gone. Looking forward to following the rest of your adventure.
Doesn't the idea of having a daughter old enough to drop you off, make you feel old 😅 My eldest is 18 now, and driving. I feel ancient lol. Enjoy the rest of the trail 👍

Thanks Olly. I’m editing videos on my phone as I go. Hard work after a long day, but saves me a job when I get home!

Thanks Nigel. Today has been very tough. The first 2 days are a great challenge
Enjoy the rest of the walk. Hope the weather improves today.

Thanks Nathan. I think I’ve had to retire song of the day. UA-cam keep falling out with me for playing copyright music. Spoilsports! 😂
