For all those people asking why the fire appliance driver did not cross the central reservation, it is for two reason, 1) it is not save to do so and 2) it is against the law, even for emergency vehicles and just in case someone is wondering why the fire appliance driver park a cross the whole road again for safety reason, i.e. crew safety and other road users. Thanks for showing the three Army Heavy Transports and their loads, brings back happy memories of days go by.
That's not all completely true. If it's against the law to cross the central reservation then it's against the law to break a red light, yet they do! All the time.
That's total bull mate, I'm assuming you have completed your EFAD course and know what can and can't be done when on a fire call? Crossing over the reservation would have been acceptable if the driver had chosen to do so, I myself am more concerned with the crew manager in not instructing his team to wear ba given that a bin lorry could be carrying a multitude of different items that could give off harmful gases when alight.
might of been a hydrolic leak because most of these bin lorrys use hydrolics for the bin lifts and if that oil gets on the engine then it will catch fire quick. happened to one of ours about a month ago
So what, and then you use a pair of pathetic reel lines that look like garden hoses. We take a little longer, deploy a far more suitable size line and knock it down far faster. You dicks in the U.K. are really in love with yourselves.
@@CymruEmergencyResponder Maybe because we did that in the 1960's and early 70's and they were not of much value. But then I would never expect UK firefighters to admit they were wrong about anything. High pressure is a joke. Next thing you will tell me is how Britain saved the US from the Germans in WW 2. ROTFLMAO
Why did Trumpton waste time going up the road to I guess the next roundabout instead of either stopping on the other carriageway,or bumping up over the curb, wagons buggered, but every second counts.
Wait 2 hours for a bus and a flaming bin wagon turns up.

Sorry, but you are wrong! See answers below! Also, it’s safer doing what they did, because of the live traffic lanes across the other side.
@@stetomlinson3146 Ste what station are you based at?
@@dan9471 None now! I left in 2006 after 32 years.
Ridiculously rare for a station manager to be riding 😮

Firefighter extinguishes without respiratory protection ... incomprehensible
They don’t need breathing apparatus as they are not in a confined space
Come out to the states on the west side I'll let you drive a tank and that truck that's pulling it
....and there's me thinking Councils didn't incinerate rubbish anymore!
Well if that was the case. they missed. the rubbish is safe and sound inside. lol

They have to use foam because of the fuel tank
@@skidude8989 High Pressure Hose Reels are effective, even with structure fires. You just don’t know how to use them properly in the US.

What's the rôle of the firefighter in orange?
Think has a two stripe helmet so that makes him sub officer, number two to the station officer / manager.
He would be the Crew Manager. I would think the Orange Fire Kit would be on test. The Watch Manager has the White Helmet
Yellow helmat with 1 stripe is leading hand and 2 stripes with a yellow helmat is sub officer and a white helmat with 1 stripe is station officer
Nicely running on it’s own engine oil….. 🫢
Pratt's!!
I had to laugh at the second crew member with the HP Hosereel who wasn't wearing BA. ..😅😅..your lungs are gonna thank you 20yrs down the line...FOOL..
