just a little note: his lyrics at the end actually 'we got to, we got to away' so he wasn't trying to say 'get away'
Well that makes the thing really smart.
As he's singing the line in his higher range he knows the 'Get' can block the air flow as Adam said so Harry completely gets rid of the 'Get' here and also you know it as ' We got to away ' makes no Sense language wise so it's just a smart way to hit the notes.

his voice was perfectly fine after the performance, his speaking voice is raspy and deep anyways so he isn’t quite the “clear” voice type of guy. he doesn’t do those facial expressions anymore, he’s worked on it, and he only does it when he wants to express the emotions he’s feeling while singing the song
You asked if he could talk smoothly after the last note right? Cause he immediately has an interview after the performance with graham norton and he sounds ok there

One thing I've always thought was interesting about this performance is that it was, I believe, his second live performance of this song. The first was on SNL, where he went with a version (arrangement?) that was closer to the recorded version. You can tell he struggled on SNL and was frustrated. Then for this second performance on Graham Norton, he made changes and did much better - and you can tell throughout that he's pleased with how he's doing. yes I saw that clip right now, and you can tell his voice wasnt with him that day with whatever reason, his falsetto were very low (you mostly heard the background singers), and then he skipt singingparts and also lost his voice at the end, but then came back. You can litterally see how diapointed he was but I think it was strong of him to even perform if he knew his voice wasnt gonna cut through the performance wich i think you can tell at the beginning and all the way through. It would be interesting if someone who knows this stuff could analyse a performance like that, because off course even singers get cold and sick and they do still have to do their job.. All the respect to Harry 👐
i would like to correct, actually the lyrics are “we’ve got to, we’ve got to, away” but sometimes when he was touring he sang like “we’ve got to, we’ve got to get away” (:
He had an interview right after that and was perfectly fine from what I saw. He has a natural deep and raspy voice. The "strains" and the raspiness when he sings is being done ON PURPOSE for emotional effect. That's just how his music is.

How can you not be impressed by this perfomance and only analyse his mistakes. Don't really get how people can only look at Harry and don't get blown away I mean this boy is everything.
He worked incredibly hard tonget where he is now and he btw also get rip of pulling is mouth to right which he btw also just used to do for an emotional effect. Constructive Critisicm is always good but please don't just look at the mistakes. A compliment can mean so much even though it's only 1 and 10 negative facts.

This guy is a vocal coach, his job isn’t simply to just “react.” Obviously he’s gonna point out mistakes or correct harry. His job is literally to teaching to people to sing, so yes, he will point out flaws. And yes, that does mean he “tops” Harry because he’s a certified vocal coach, Harry is not. He’s had much more years of experience than Harry. No shade to Harry tho, this comment is just pathetic.

Harry’s life doesn’t revolve around the anatomy of vocals and singing techniques. This guy does. That’s all I’m saying. @@uknown-cv5xr dear, Harry is working with biggest vocal coaches in the world, so he does have all the knowledge, or maybe more knowledge. And what I meant was, that's it's dumb to think that a performer working on that level, don't go through rigorous voice training regularly...! And I didn't say anything bad about the vocal coach, so why are you explaining me this??? but as you brought this up, i think, he does have a ego, it's not because he criticized, it's because of his body language and attitude, the way he comment, most of the time he don't do research on his songs at all. He just seems like someone having a superiority complex. Those things just adds up naturally.

I'm not a professional at all but I also noticed when he's going for high notes he turns his head to the right and pulls up his top lip to the right. I noticed that from watching so many one direction performances.
He worked on his singing extremly hard and he doesn't do this anymore.
But he mainly did it for an emotional effect! But I heard from a vocal teacher that this can damage you voice so I think that's the reason why he got rip of it.
