I legit watched this video with little to no exp in actually mechanically fixing anything on my bike ever and was able to tear down the bike to change parts. Thank you so much
hi there sir, had a couple questions, I have the same bike. my bike slowly leaks oil out of this black tube facing down by the motor on the left side of the bike, I’m not sure what to do, do u think U could help?
Hi, that is the oil reservoir overflow, if you have too much oil in the system the excess oil will overflow after you ride. When you check the oil, follow the manual procedure, if you check the oil with the bike cold it will show low and if you fill it up, it will be overfilled. I hope this helps
I have made it street legal, vapor tack and warp 9 wheels. Just installed the Hotcam mod so no more decomp lever. I’m wanting to change the clutch disc however I’m not mechanically inclined. Your videos so far have helped me a lot! Sub for sure
If by prime you are talking about the oil system, I don't, modern oils are very sticky and even when you do an oil change the engine stays coated with oil and modern oil pumps take very little to go full flow. If you're talking about fuel priming to start the bike, I pull the cold start primer on the carb, I roll full throttle once then I close the throttle and kick.
If you have an electric start then to prime it... With the ignition OFF and the hot start decompression lever pulled in... Slowly depress kick start through 10 cycles allowing oil to circulate without excessive rpm. * The e start acts like a grinder on initial dry start after an oil change. Cheers from the bench Earl6
If you have enough meat left, you can dremel a slot onto it and use a screwdriver. If you have a welder, you can weld another bolt to it and use the new bolt to unscrew the drain plug. There are other ways but all depends on the situation
Probably figured this out by now but they sell sockets that you twist on the opposite direction until they’re clamped on there and then just unscrew go to autozone or a auto parts store and they will definitely have them
Make sure the spark is actually there, maybe it's not the spark plug itself, but the coil or wire. Also make sure the new carb is tuned to the OEM base line (jets, needle, float, etc) good luck man
Albe's Adv k, and should there be a reading on the frame dipstick at all times? There was no reading on the dipstick and there was no oil shooting out from the front plug on frame. Mind you I believe my bike seized on the top end and has been sitting for quite some time.
Wow I didn’t think someone made 10w-60, that is a really wide viscosity range, in theory goes from -30 degrees Celsius to +60, I would stick to the recommended grade but let’s put it this way, your engine should not explode 😆

Not a problem, thank you for watching, right now I’m editing a valve clearance check on the 426, hopefully that can be of use as well.😀👍
instablaster.
Thanks my man buying a 426 in the am!!
Good choice 👌
still watching in 2020
Thank you Brother
Awesome vid and edits and filming and bike and shop
Thanks Conner 😀👍

@@AlbesADV understand, so if it’s up to high it will leak? But if it doesn’t leak it’s at a good amount?
If it doesn’t overflow it’s either at a good amount or it’s too low
Also, when you check the oil don't screw in the dipstick just sit it in the opening. That will give you an accurate oil level reading.
Thanks it helped
What oil did you use
Yamalube 10w-40
Great video
needed this thanks man!
looking forward to upcoming on the yz426. i have one that i converted into a supermoto!
Definitely more coming
SuMo is a lot of fun, have you made it street legal or you just use it at the track?

Cool, you should take a picture and post it on instagram and tag me with #albesadv , so it goes directly to my feed and I can take a look
Well done!! ☺👍❤
Do u happen to have a link for the screen u used at 6:15 in the video?
I don’t, check bike bandit since that is OEM they should have it
How do you prime this bike after you change the oil because I have the same bike?
If by prime you are talking about the oil system, I don't, modern oils are very sticky and even when you do an oil change the engine stays coated with oil and modern oil pumps take very little to go full flow.
If you're talking about fuel priming to start the bike, I pull the cold start primer on the carb, I roll full throttle once then I close the throttle and kick.
Informative
How many liters of oil do you put on the motorcycle?
1.6l to start, then I follow the oil level check procedure
Do i need to prime the motor after doing new oil change?
Yes. If you dont your engine will grenade the second it starts. God speed.
What do you mean prime the engine?
If you have an electric start then to prime it...
With the ignition OFF and the hot start decompression lever pulled in...
Slowly depress kick start through 10 cycles allowing oil to circulate without excessive rpm.
* The e start acts like a grinder on initial dry start after an oil change.

do you have any idea on how to get a stripped drain bolt off?🤔
If you have enough meat left, you can dremel a slot onto it and use a screwdriver. If you have a welder, you can weld another bolt to it and use the new bolt to unscrew the drain plug. There are other ways but all depends on the situation

@@sftworange6456 yep that's what i used
I have a 426 and I can't get it started. it already has a new carburetor and spark plug and nothing
Make sure the spark is actually there, maybe it's not the spark plug itself, but the coil or wire. Also make sure the new carb is tuned to the OEM base line (jets, needle, float, etc) good luck man
How do you like those radiator guards?
Pretty good, they seam really strong
how often are you supposed to change the oil in these?
I believe 20-30 hours, I don't have the manual with me right now and I'm out of the country
Every 500ks
Thanks Josh
@@AlbesADV Never do this ... With hard use it should be something like 5 hours or with average use 10 hours
Bike be prestine
Where did you get the Radiator protectors from?
It came with the bike , but I’ve seen it on line at motosport.com
how much oil does the bike use
Until the dipstick says
1.8qt
Thanks
My bike doesn’t have the bottom drain hole
Are you sure, did a previous owner plugged it? 🤔
So was 1.8 enough?
Yes it was

Albe's Adv not to be 20 questions here but that fucken frame feed bullshit confuses me
the rear mudguard it is from which bike
It's the original mud guard
What exhaust is that? I’m trying to mod mine but can’t find anything
Pro circuit T4
@@AlbesADV what website did you buy it from? I’ve been looking but all websites I’ve checked are sold out 😔
It actually came with the bike , I’ve looked around and you are, unfortunately, right
Yea, sucks! Not a whole lot of mods now a days. But thanks for getting back to me so quick! 👍 sub’d and notification on ✌️
Thanks man, check bikebandit.com they have it on back order, might be worth a call to see if they can get you one
20w-50?if i put 10w-60 is ok??
