- In this video, we're going to be explaining everything you need to know about the Berserker Armor! Everything from its abilities, it's history, and anything else pertaining to it.
I think most of us can agree that the Berserker Armour is one of the coolest parts of Berserk. But even though it's very powerful, what kind of drawbacks does it cause? And how much longer will Guts be able to keep using it before his inner darkness consumes him?

It doesn't work like that the exhibition we saw is the pure strength of guts the item allow him to reach his limit but he is a monster who had superhuman strength before the armor

I think a plausible reason for the dwarves to make such a harmful piece of armour could be that some powerful man in the past demanded the dwarves forge him powerful armour and to punish him for his greet or something the dwarves made it so it would kill him and those he loved.
or that they made a good armor but someone out of malice cursed the armor, or gave the powers later.
Any enchanted weapon or armor is supposed to have draw back good ability and something that is bad

So basically its a magical armor that instead of amplifying your strength, it pushes you into destroying natural limiters which ends up in your own body destroying itself and then the armor uses magical duct tape to barely hold your body together to lengthen your last hoorah.
The only reason guts is still alive is thanks to Puck's healing dust and even that can't seem fully heal him, residual damage is visually seen piling up.

It also seems to only "protect" the user from physical attacks. When Guts was fighting the Sea God it's screams did serious damage to Guts.

I mean, it's an armor at the end of the day and doesn't afford any special shielding as far as we have seen.

There are plenty of Anime powers I would gladly accept regardless of the consequences. Like the Power of the Titans for example. I'd gladly accept the shortened life span and pain to get it. It's that cool. But the Berserker Armour is one of those Anime power ups I wouldn't DARE to even touch. Its consequences are SOO heavy. But I think that's why I like it. Leaves a bigger impression because of how risky it is.

Making a prediction, in 50 years when the manga reaches it's halfway point. Guts will have met up with the Dwarves who will purify/upgrade the Berserk armor and guts will have his own inner mind arc like Casca just had. Then he, his armor, and his inner beast will become one & in synch

The Berserker's armor does not suppress fear, it increases fear. SPOILERS: On the beach when Guts and friends are fighting off the Kusharn controlled alligators, you see through Gut's eyes. He looks at the alligators and only sees rows of teeth, you see a clearly fearful eye under the helm. Guts even says at this moment "Stay away!"
Fear is as powerful as anger used by the right warrior. Its arguably the source of most negative emotions a berserker instinctually is driven by.
Could be true, after all, a scared creature with his back against the wall has nothing to lose.
Even HP Lovecraft says Fear is the most primal emotion, it is what allows superhuman feats, like lifting cars and holding your breath for minutes. The Fear of death is the most powerful thing in the universe

Uuuh no, read it again. When Guts says "stay away" he's telling the thoughts from within the armor/beast of darkness to stay away: "Cut, kill" "loathing, enemy, fear". He was actually semi-conscious there and his consciousness then gets swallowed up completely right after that (see pages 130-131 from vol 28), causing him to slaughter all crocodiles and then go after his companions.

Unlikely, but I want to believe that he may like find a way to stop the aftereffects of using the armor. He is already powerful inside it so an upgrade is not necessary.

I think the reason skull knight is so old is because the berserker armor kept him going for a very long time. And I mean really long time, maybe the reason SK is in he’s current armor is because the husk that was left basically was already dead and Floara transfered SK’s ego in to his current armor
Not much of a life though. Lost his body, has no friends. Can't feel, taste and possibly smell. Sleep ain't a thing either.

Dude is literally throwing a dozen fully grown man in armor flying dozens of meters away with each individual swing, and not even trying. And he's supposed to be average at best among the Maiar in physical strength. Guts is comparable at best, if not behind at worst.

Great video, but you forgot to mention that, if I'm not mistaken, the amor also allows Guts to use his prosthetic hand like it was a normal hand, with the same, coordination, skill and movement range his normal human hand would have. At the same time, it allowed guts to use the cannon of his prosthetic hand.
It's the "Wing Zero" system manifested in Armor and Magic.
This is the best description of the Berserker Armor I've heard. 10/10. I didn't know what to think at first being as this is the first video of yours I have seen, but I can say this earned a sub.

guts has very rarely been wounded in battles. sure he got pretty beat up in some battles. mostly with zodd. he got stabbed by caska and barely felt it. also the 100 man battle beat him up pretty good but still healed up. the only benefit this armor provides is the enhanced speed and the ability to block blows against super natural beings.

you forgot to mention that another factor that may stop the berseker armor from taking over guts is the moonlight boy, as happened in the sea god's island where the armor rejected Schierke but the moonlight boy helped to bring guts back

The Berserker Armour allows the brain to to allow the muscles 100% power. The body usually only allows muscles to use like 70% because it would cause damage to the body. So the Armour does kinda grant the user Super Strength in a way.
You just contradicted your whole argument you actually it allows guts to use 100% of his strength key word his strength not super human just his strength without pain and to take it a step further most humans can go beyond their strength levels that’s how we get injured people do it daily. The armor just shows how badass guts is in a world of magic and demons this human can fight with them and beat them through will power it’s always been the best part of gut’s character he never gives up.

I don’t think their hair turns white from making them age faster but due to massive amounts of mental stress. I remember in the anime Tokyo Ghoul Kaneki’s hair turned white for that reason and it’s also what happened to Queen Marie Antoinette where her hair allegedly turned white the day of her execution at 38 years old.

Love your opening
The OD for supressing Anger, Fear and Pain is neat, dwarves magic too. Increases Strength, Speed and Endurance is nice too, stronger than steel, can flip, or run fast. Interesting is will Guts survive it as prolong use dulls senses and needs to be use in moderation this video describe. Wow! Dog demon is its resemblance which is kind of like Hellsing Alucard is a dog too in strongest form. Amazing! Talisman in the astro world has much to discover along the series too and the Helmet is different for each User glows Red for Guts. Good work!

True to Berserk’s themes and nature as a story, it’s the only technical power-up Guts has got over the course of his journey - and it could arguably not even be called a power-up lmao, it has more downsides to it than good

still remembered me and my friend john at halloween in school did a dope crossover i did a praetor suit that is the armor that doom guy or doom slayer from doom 2016 and john made the Berserk armor

if im not mistaken the berserker armor was made for skull knight when he was alive hence the skull for the helmet.
I am relatively new to the berserk series but I have heard about this armor it seemed pretty cool but now that I know about it it's actually quite terrifying. And yeah you're right this thing is more of a devil sent then an Ace in the Hole. I guess you could call a last resort or a trump card.
