That one thing we have in common and I quote you: " I never wash my tractor" ( 3:07 )... As for the torque on the bolts of my FEL, I know they won't come loose, because I know there is good old thread locker, which chemical formula is Fe2O3, a.k.a as rust. Also, I make sure to maintain a good leak of engine oil and hydraulic oil to protect the machine. As for pressure washing, that is indeed very bad for a machine. Been there too many time having corrosion issues (points, solenoid, etc) and is no joke! Now that you are back in the garage, you look in a fantastic shape! Good to see you happy! Thanks Dave!

Hi Dave! Yes, reading your manual is SO important!! Too many people never even open them. I still have the manual for my Sears snowblower that is probably 40 years old now. One thing I would caution about however is the over use of oil on exterior parts and joints. As a retired millwright with experience working on heavy equipment I can tell you that depending on the work environment, oil will collect dust very quickly. That dust and dirt will turn your oil into a grinding compound and can cause damage to your equipment. I've seen and dealt with this first hand. Oil is be an essential party of a good maintenance program but if not used properly, it can also do a lot of damage. Cheers!

Good Evening Sir, thank you very kindly for your OUTSTANDING informative feed back comment 👍👍😇👌If I was rich I will use graphite as a lubricant ( sand, dust and Deep Cold ) does not stick but it is soooo expensive ( only use on weapons !!! ) Thank You Again Sir and Be Well Cheers 🍻🍻

I do maintenance on my tractor every 9 to 12 years. Hello Super Dave! I seem to have lost the manual for my 1961 Massey tractor so I just wing it. I like your idea of covering everything with oil so I just leave the filler cap off and all of a sudden I have an automatic oiling system. One bonus with having a cab is you can't hear the tractor engine knocking and if you do happen to hear it just turn up the radio. Take care.

Good evening Sir. Very good important points for owning a tractor and attachments/implements. Yes read your manuals. The only time my tractor gets washed is when it rains. I only use air to clean it. Regular maintenance and inspection is required for longevity. Happy tractoring!
