In season 2, Toji refuses to kill Geto saying "I'm not willing to risk finding out what would happen to all the curses you consumed of i kill you" so maybe gojo didn't kill geto for that reason all well. Just a theory
Maybe Kenjaku switching body is similar to the immortal one - if he doesnt refresh it like once every 500 years the effect disappears And the author of JJK confirmed that certain actions of Kenjaku in Getos body are like a headless chicken so = IMO Geto is dead but there is a chance if Kenjaku doesnt swap into another body slowly he will actually become Geto Also this is an anime if Geto is to be revived he very well could be

When Sukuna took over Megumi's body, Megumi tried to lower his cursed energy from within the body when sukuna was fighting Yuji. Sukuna was basically forcing Megumi's soul down And after his sister's death, his soul fell deep into the abyss. What if Kenjaku after taking over the body of a person who is nearly dead, pushes down their weak souls and takes control? That would mean their are two souls in one body but the stronger one is in control.
This in my opinion is actually a very valid theory, and it’s something I was thinking of. If you want, you can make the argument that Geto’s soul resonated with Gojo’s words when he met Kenjaku, that’s why the body reacted. Also, if I remember correctly, even Kenjaku mentioned that this was a first time for him, which kind of reinforces the theory in question, and if that’s the case, I think it’s a first for Kenjaku because none of the other people he took the bodies and suppressed the souls of had that strong connection with someone, to resonate with, as Suguru resonates with Satoru due to their extraordinary connection as best friends.

I think Geto may "revive" and be the one to end Kenjaku. Seeing as how his "family" is ending in Shibuya, and all his past crimes, i could see Geto coming back for a slight bit of redemption in defeating Kenjaku from within...and then passing. Yuta also has a goal of ending Kenjaku to spare Gojo from ending his old best friend as well. So I think a few potential scenarios are in the air for Geto and a pseudo return.
What I think will happen, is that when Gojo, Yuta or potentially Nobara or one of many other characters dies or is close to death, Kenjaku leaves Geto's body and taked over their body, and Geto somehoe gets revived, revealing that Gojo didn't actually kill him.
He could revive Geto back but with out cursed energy. So he would be the very monkey he hated. And his character development is to appreciate non sorcerers.
I would love to believe this but the new chapters just kinda prove this wrong. When Gojo was cut in half he was talking to the dead and guess who was there? Geto. I would love to see Geto come back because of how much I loved his character but it simply doesn’t seem possible. But from how many loopholes there are in JJK when it comes to death I may be wrong.
He will most likely come back but will lose some techniques but might get dark and light manipulation so he wint have to eat curses he controls tengen so who knows how that'll work but he might help gojo vs sukuna if gojo gets weakened somehow but ik if he comes back he wont have just his ct hell have otherways to fight without habing to through all he went through again hell need to be stronger and fast

Yuta also has a goal of ending Kenjaku to spare Gojo from ending his old best friend as well. So I think a few potential scenarios are in the air for Geto and a pseudo return.

What I think will happen, is that when Gojo, Yuta or potentially Nobara or one of many other characters dies or is close to death, Kenjaku leaves Geto's body and taked over their body, and Geto somehoe gets revived, revealing that Gojo didn't actually kill him.
Geto is the optimal body for him rn, I don’t see him leaving. Unless it’s for someone infinitely stronger like gojo.
