Couple things to note: (Edited in April 2024): Release aimed for Summer 2024 - The mod will be playable on PS2 by the time it’s done, there’s just issues with it in the current phase. - This is not the Randomizer Mod build you’ve probably heard of. The Randomizer does have a couple Spec II elements in it but that’s it. Spec II is the whole thing. The footage you see here is from a Spec II Demo build that was provided to me by the author, hence “Rowdy Demo Build” on the credits screen. - People have been asking if this can be played on Steam Deck and other systems. Theoretically, if you can already emulate PS2 games it should be able to emulate this modded build as well.
I know you are not the creator of the mod, but it would be very cool to have the HD-Mod as well as the GT3 Chase Cam already onboard the mod, once it is finished.
I dont have any issue with randomizer mods since it cope nicely with the original game, but the biggest issue with HD mod is : It will need more powerful specs to play this game, even more than RPCS3 did. HD remaster mods should fixed the performance issue due they added too much assets which heavily burden the emulator to the point where lots of issues going in and out many times. I love the community who did lots of mods, but not on HD/Graphic mods because it literally destroyed the performance for better resolution and textures which is silly things to do but for polishing their skills is a must for them.
I’m turning 30 never had a wheel and my younger self only had this game at my great grandmah I played it on controller for years getting every thing done in it. Almost got enough for a g923 (no shifter :c) but I think my inner child needs this and my actual kid will love it. (With supervision obviously)
Replay value is the main goal so I'm glad you think that - the randomizer alone has incentivised a ton of people to try new strategies and challenges, and try cars they never would've driven otherwise etc

I used to play around pcsx2 “cheat editing” (not sure if this is the correct term where you drop the edits into the cheat folder) and created personal engine swaps and drivetrain for certain cars. Most notably a renault avant with the clk lm engine, chassis and drivetrain lol. Also I remembered back then I swapped the 905B drivetrain with the toyota gt-one because I couldn’t stand the really slow gearshift. Crazy times for me now realized by you guys 👏

I know, of all the famous “must play” racing games (Burnout 3, NFS Most Wanted 2005, NFS Underground games, Forza Horizon, TDU, Gran Turismo 2) Gran Turismo 4 is the only one of them that truly lives up to its insane hype
@@DogZy9 Actually to be fair TDU did kinda live up to the hype, I just made the mistake of buying the PS2 version, not because it's bad, but because it has save file corruption issues. I lost a save where I had just gotten my hands on a Lotus and my disappoint is really more salt over the memory corruption issues the PS2 version had
A game made from passion can only be bested by a community with passion, and the players of GT4 only make this aged wine taste even better. Mad props to the team behind the Spec II Mod! Might finally use this PC for emulating GT4 just to try this out!
Even if Gran Turismo in current day continue to make questionable decisions, it's awesome to see how much passion there is for modding these older games! This truly is the golden age of GT mods, I can't wait to see what's possible in the future 😁
Its so hard to believe that this game was launched almost 20 years ago. The quality of the textures, assets and polygonal models is absolutely insane and yes, I know pretty well that emulators enhance textures, shaders and resolution. But the base is still the one of a game developed in 2002/2004 for a console with 32 megabytes of ram and a risc CPU of 300 mhz (!)

This, the HD HUD mod, and the GT3 camera, are a great recipe for a new playthrough. I just played the game a few months ago, and I already can't wait to play again!
@@RealSamski Spend like an hour revisiting Forza Motorsport 5, and you won't be so disappointed with GT7, then again that logic can also be applied to literally an Forza or GT or perhaps even any racing game because FM5 was genuinely just that bad

This is awesome. So cool to see the passion for this game continuing after so long. Its always been one of my all time favourite games, and seeing it elevated and refreshed like this is so cool!
This game got me through my childhood, and has remained my favourite video game of all time, and to have such a dedicated community working on making it better, and having already played some of the mods( I’m doing a randomiser play through right now with hd texture mods), it means more to me than anyone could know that theadmeister and many others continue to work tirelessly for the community, I only hope Kaz knows how this game has changed over 20 years, and how many lives he has touched in that time!
Seeing that cups and tournaments can be added gives me some huge hope for the future of content and challenges, hopefully it'll be possible for anyone to alter the leagues. I was already excited for the mod, but everything shown has me way more excited already, can't wait to see where this goes.
Rowdy, I'm impress that the changes with the spec ii mods of gran turismo 4 is amazing like, add garage in the race events to select cars, add language, secret settings, and monitor settings in the options menu, car engine sound improvements to all cars to sound alot better, updated menu, and others that has been added, fix, improve, and restore.😊
The new engine sounds are so nice, I wasn't expecting that big of a mod on a console game like this but the vanilla game is definitely going to be unplayable after getting used to this
I wish there were toggles for the event length, some of the game events really needed to be shortened but others should have been kept as is. A universal toggle for shortened events would be great for that reason. Same applies to prize car rewards, I find most overhaul mods inadequate at reordering progression so I want to have a vanilla reset
Randomly played GT4 after many many years, completely forgotten cars descriptions/history were sadly missing in the US version(apparently due to rushed development?). Very exciting to see theyve been added, albeit from gt6, back into the game
I love how so many classic games across almost every genre have mods now that improve or change them in so many cool ways. Easily one of my favorite parts of modern video gaming.
This looks so good, and sounds?! I'm excited just at the idea of Spec C with even slightly more accurate sound. We can discuss painting it the right colour later 😂 Seriously though cant wait for this!

There is just one thing that I hate about this mod. One thing that drives me up the wall: I've been doing a 100% run of GT4 for the last 4 months. ...I'm gonna have to make _another_ bloody savefile, aren't I. This looks _incredible,_ I genuinely can't wait to get stuck back in.
I haven't been able to play a single game this year. Everything I want to play, they just come out with a mod. But then I'm like, maybe wait a bit for some updates? Forza Horizon XE still has some small issues, and one car I really like crashes the game.. but the modder doesn't want to do anything with the game before there are more advances, so he can do bigger changes. I thought about playing GT2+, never got far in any version of that, but now I'm thinking about having one united save I use on PC and my phone, but then I have to figure out ideal settings for mobile.. the game can almost maintain a stable 30fps on my phone, but then I'm like, can I use frame skip? If I could use the 60fps cheat, and use frame skip to run at 30, maybe that could solve the physics issues.. In the end, only thing I played a good amount is Real Racing 3, but that's just like when I tried keeping up with update cars in Forza, it's not an enjoyable game experience.. something I initially jokingly referred to as a "love-hate relationship", but came to realize it's just a straight up toxic relationship. Modern games are like an aggressive, abusive lover.
I remember first time i seen someone mod gt 4 it was more a texture of roads, movable camera, and first person mode (which I don’t remember if that one even true or not going to look that one up again.) To now more textures to use, someone for some reason found hidden cheats in gt 4 which leads to believe there might be more hidden cheats in the game as well as others, randomizer, and finally this mod. Got to say i am impressed this modding scene happening and at sametime so damn surprised to found out people are modding ps2 games and gamecube game. It’s amazing how much work and effort put into making these work somehow
Being a Xbox and Forza guy I've never been able to try any GT apart from GTS briefly (which I did quite enjoy). I hope I can set up an emulator and play this mod on my PC so I can finally experience the peak of Gran Autismo
@@TheAdmiester Hey Admeister, awesome work you do there with GT4. I can't wait to try it when it's done. :D I don't know what is possible, but a better career mode would be good. Maybe with qualifiications, adjustable lap count, real championships you have to complete once you entered them. I don't like how they used that driver level system and spammed you with prize cars. I also would like to see some basic race modifications at the opponents cars like race liveries and anti roll bars in races.

Making new cars could be so hard since it not only involves puting new models into the game, but making models that fit the low poly cars already in game, unless they decide to replace car models with GT7 car models wich doubt the engine will be happy about, i wonder if they could add Bikes from TT tho
I'd say there's plenty more amount of races they could make. After 54 hours of the randomiser mod I noticed groups of cars and tracks that don't get used as much. At the very least, an endurace race of every track with a pit lane would be a good start. Perhaps half length in road cars and full length in race cars.
It's crazy how this is still a PlayStation 2 game. Without any context you couldve told me this was a PS3 emulation and I'd be none the wiser. Emulation, ironically, is the future of gaming. Beyond games like Gran Turismo, in my side of UA-cam, people are discovering the world of modding Red Dead Redemption which was console only, and limited graphically and in performance hugely. Emulation and modders alike have breathed so much life into this game, that people are enjoying it than it's triple A successor. Likewise I'm seeing with your videos how much hours i can enjoy in GT4, with no micro-transactions or nonsense, enjoying everything with all QoL improvements through emulation and mods, bringing the game into a 2023 experience. Thanks for all your work in showcasing these Rowdy, and hats off to the amazing developers and modders that brought this all.
I love emulation but I fear too many games are going always online for it to be the future of gaming. Too many games just won't work without a server connection which IMO doesn't bode well for emulating them 10-20 years from now like GT4.
Im going to be straight honest, how cool would it be to see previously sold cars having a small chance to show back up in the used car dealer in any random week.
In general I want a completely revamped used car cycle. Several used cars only show up once per color per cycle which makes some cars almost impossible to find. Would also be cool if the randomizer would randomize the used car cycles.
This is amazing. I don't know if they could implement the latest remastered ai textures as an option. Is there a way to turn off some songs? some of the racing music is horrible. Do you have a reshade applied to this gameplay footage?
I'd love to see tracks being modified in the future to optimise them for emulation. I'm on Steamdeck and the city tracks use wayyyy too many reflections that are poorly optimised by PCSX2 - Somehow disabling them and other effects could be a great step to making the game seamless on Steamdeck.
For now what I’d recommend is turning down the resolution a little bit. I found with some games if you run the resolution too high, some high demand areas will lag like heck, but it’ll get fixed if you turn down the resolution. Don’t get wrong, high res GT4 is beautiful, but maybe sacrifice some fidelity for framerate

Great quality of life for sure. Interesting changes. The randomisor makes sense due to the same team. Got praise and ideas. I wanted a quick access menu ever since seeing them in GT1&2 and thought well GT5 does for tuning a few things. Yet nope nothing expanded sigh. So thanks so much team for adding one for GT4 Online Beta NTSC build. XD Geniuses. Interesting new event types for cars unused I assume over time the mode they come up with. Concepts and otherwise of course and to fit the core of the game yes. Sunday to 3 makes sense. Special events as single is fair/less tedious and a few others. Ah balancing hmmmm. Yeah repeat cars sucked in one makes or otherwise. So oh different colours maybe keep and selling yeah. Good change indeed. Concepts for sale/selling yes please. Necessary. I know was apart of the randomiser stage of the project but still good to see it. More Driving missions cool. Had no idea about cut ones. More coffee breaks would be cool weather the GT4 Prologue ones or new ones. I always liked the Prologue ones better than the final retail game. New mKez more sense but importing if possible the assets and layouts to work in GT4 besides the GT4 Prologue differences of course I get that. Camera changes maybe if other mods do it makes sense why. If courses unfinished would be nice but doubt it. I have wanted Complex String with races on it for years. Even Special Stage Route 5 Toyota Pod/GT Concept race track layout for many cars would be nice too as a beginner course with Complex String for race cars. It makes it the most challenging like Nurburgring but with more unique corners even if a license test course no other track fictional or real does what it does, you get maybe close on Tahiti Maze corners or maybe on the Forza Motorsport 2 test track in some areas but not the same why wouldn't I think it's a cool idea it's a good track it's just making AI for it is maybe a challenge I assume besides the track is always left alone but in the files always so importing/fixing it up is yes a challenge in itself I know. Sigh it's a wish not something I expect to happen of course. That and the lighting on GT4 would be interesting for the track besides GT3's. Autumn Ring in GT Concept looked great with GT3 artstyle and lighting so does GT4. What about drag lane events? GT2 never even got drag racing it was cut. You'd get drag in R Racing Evolution or Forza Motorsport 3 or 4 I forget among other games and GT4's drag strip is there but only for speed tests so for a what 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile however much is modelled already sounds good enough to test custom drag events for players to go against them just a speed test. I don't expect drag events giving money/prizes just a drag race generator I guess. Like you get the race generators on other driving park or track selection and cost 5 credits. Valencia is nice but yeah the AI/pits makes sense. Doubt Cathedral Rocks 3 from PSP the assets may be too low quality to bring up to PS2 level or the track is so simple why bother or the engine's are different so utilising it maybe isn't likely or something people likely care for. Just an idea as a track not really focused on but here for a special event or rally beginners like Motegi West or Beginners Course are good for early game events is what I'm thinking of context for. I mean Ice Arena kind of is a short/beginner snow course in a way even if challenging on higher difficulty. Ah audio differences will be exciting then the rough sounds prior of the game. Not bad so far. This is what a 25th anniversary of Gran Turismo is like not cough bad design decisions of the series ever. Cough FM6 having the same bad decisions for 10 years. Funny how the anniversaries offer linear garbage decision experiences with dramatic change how is that worth celebrating hmmmm. Idiot developers celebrate and waste our time and fans always know what fans what and understand the game design or elements between entries and it shows. Excellent ideas and implementation. I wish the team the best. Car model design yeah too much effort. Not expecting that never will I don't have car wants at all just quality of life. Game limits to be over 6 yeah. It's fine. Console and disk size for that is fair. But yeah single when it's the game plus online and new menus is interesting for that (or were new menus in manufacturers part of the mods? I never know for sure?) 4 cars would be interesting like Tourist Trophy though. So less per event like rally but an in-between and of course opponents for challenge to reflect less. Could be impossible but would be interesting to see them more due to limits and I don't like more. 8 to me was always good enough in other games not 10+ where it's too many to avoid, pass through, catch up to it's just boring and frustrating to me and especially when they were running starts not standing either. Thinking of standing starts more of them if possible as they were a mix between tracks normal or reverse or regardless always those tracks I think a selection for player preferences would be nice. Yeah knew it was the Online NTSC Beta build. Yeah more content or fixes or otherwise for the emulator/real console so. Super cool. They have great ideas, the randomised was great to see early many. We won't see GT3 feeling handling that's for sure. GT4 is what it is, people like the realistic side of things and Sim fans are what they are. I don't know an arcade feel is nice sometimes in games. I have gotten used to GT4 physics over time so much more than the garbage tires in GT5&6 I hTe so much why do they become so weak even sports tires it's dumb the 10 pressure or whatever limit of them they suck and ruin the game so clearly older entries work better and Sport didn't have it I think or didn't notice or struggle as much. Clearly many GT3/Concept cars are in GT4 not all but some. Toyota Pod would be interesting as it's only in that game. But I think an event for it whether behaviour ideas, whether a driving mission. I wish the team the best.
What if the Tourist Trophy bikes were added to the Game? Valencia is a TT only circuit Or the other cars from previous spin-offs like the Toyota POD and so on? They're on the same game, but on different builds I know i'm stretching a bit too much, but i got excited about that mod. can't wait to play it
I was just about to ask is it was possible to import new cars in since I've always preferred the RX7 and FTO lm race cars from gt 3 instead of the ones already in 4, but that was already asked
@@RowdyGT They won't be gone completely, I'll be changing some of the medium/hard ones to be reverse and possibly sprinkling them through other events. I don't want any tracks to be completely unused, I just want to trim the fat from special conditions a bit to make room for variety.
Wild to me that, we have what might've been an absolutely amazing successor in GT7, yet the active modding community and playerbase still shows how preferable GT4 is. A true timeless classic.
The mods I propose are: >Full setup for arcade "rented" car, this would make a more Forza 1/4-like arcade experience >Possibility to disable electronic aids in driving missions and licences >Hood view addon... come on, the cockpit view is generally crap >I don't remember if Catheram can race against 6 cars. But, another technological obstacle overtakable by playing on computer could be the low-res rims, even if it never disturbed me >More wet tracks, Complex string back from GT3, together with Polyphony 001 and 002. That '88-'94 feeling of the first Formula GT championship, NA against turbocharged and wide slicks, was something special. And to finish the thread, some alternative enviroment light from GT3 would be fun >ABS enable/disable
@@RowdyGT i was REALLY worried after you said "intended for PCSX2" in the video that it wouldn't be compatible with OG hardware. this makes me feel a LOT better lol, thanks. it'll be nice to have so many "extended edition" mod options when the two big current WIP mods eventually release. we'll have GT2+, GT3: Concept, GT4 Spec II, GT5 Master, AND GT6 Spec II to choose from. i fucking love the GT modding community.
Just a HUGE quality of life improvement that needs to be implemented, and to me was the only fault in the original GT4: LET US CHOOSE THE PRIZE CAR COLOR, PLEASE! AND IMPROVE BUYING USED/OLDER CAR MODELS! I don't know if it's possible, but a used car dealership based on brands would also be nice. It sucks to have to wait for day 300 for some older car model that you want to get. I get that some implementations can make the game "cheap" and lose the value of acquiring such things, but that aspect of GT4 was just beating around the bush, you should be able to get older models easier than the original thing. Other than that, this is awesome! I couldn't even imagine half of the stuff the mod is implementing, it's adding perfection to perfection itself!
Have you found a way to race at night? Say, racing at Le Mans or Nordschleife in the night or that implies adding another track which at time, it's impossible to do at the moment?
I wonder if it's possible to port tracks from 3, which is probably impossible or near-impossible. But if it's possible i would like to see complex string or just most of the GT3 circuits that never got included. OH ALSO, Is it possible to add a drag race feature?? The Las Vegas strip could be available and drag cars could be added (maybe)
I'm not trying to speak on behalf of the mod team but this seems like a largely QoL/user experience focus rather than completionism for car/track combinations- if you're passionate about specific tracks, you may just want to get into the modding communities of hardcore driving sims like Assetto Corsa.

Spent thousands of hours back then in this game, and the sound improvement alone will definitely make want to play it again.
18 years later and this game is still pretty much unmatched...its insane that this game even exists.

Polyphony understands lighting like no other, and their PS1/2 era low res textures are almost truly pixel art

Hard to believe something that launched for what was nearly a 5 year old game console at the time matched top of the line pc game visuals of its time
its been said that the CPU is about 1Ghz in comparison to typical PC CPU of that time due to architecture

Gt5 and gt6 got some great additions thanks to this mod too. Nenkai and TheAdmeister did a great job

Rowdy, I'm impress that the changes with the spec ii mods of gran turismo 4 is amazing like, add garage in the race events to select cars, add language, secret settings, and monitor settings in the options menu, car engine sound improvements to all cars to sound alot better, updated menu, and others that has been added, fix, improve, and restore.😊
The new engine sounds are so nice, I wasn't expecting that big of a mod on a console game like this but the vanilla game is definitely going to be unplayable after getting used to this

I wish there were toggles for the event length, some of the game events really needed to be shortened but others should have been kept as is.
A universal toggle for shortened events would be great for that reason.
Same applies to prize car rewards, I find most overhaul mods inadequate at reordering progression so I want to have a vanilla reset

Randomly played GT4 after many many years, completely forgotten cars descriptions/history were sadly missing in the US version(apparently due to rushed development?). Very exciting to see theyve been added, albeit from gt6, back into the game

Man, The Ford GT LM Spec 2 sounded nothing like a Ford.... I always pictured the car sounding like the Matech Ford GT that used to compete in Europe.

There is just one thing that I hate about this mod. One thing that drives me up the wall: I've been doing a 100% run of GT4 for the last 4 months.
...I'm gonna have to make _another_ bloody savefile, aren't I. This looks _incredible,_ I genuinely can't wait to get stuck back in.
I haven't been able to play a single game this year.
Everything I want to play, they just come out with a mod. But then I'm like, maybe wait a bit for some updates? Forza Horizon XE still has some small issues, and one car I really like crashes the game.. but the modder doesn't want to do anything with the game before there are more advances, so he can do bigger changes.
I thought about playing GT2+, never got far in any version of that, but now I'm thinking about having one united save I use on PC and my phone, but then I have to figure out ideal settings for mobile.. the game can almost maintain a stable 30fps on my phone, but then I'm like, can I use frame skip? If I could use the 60fps cheat, and use frame skip to run at 30, maybe that could solve the physics issues..
In the end, only thing I played a good amount is Real Racing 3, but that's just like when I tried keeping up with update cars in Forza, it's not an enjoyable game experience.. something I initially jokingly referred to as a "love-hate relationship", but came to realize it's just a straight up toxic relationship. Modern games are like an aggressive, abusive lover.
Yeah it is slightly annoying but there's enough replay value. Could 100% the vanilla save then go with spec II. More fun in any case!

I remember first time i seen someone mod gt 4 it was more a texture of roads, movable camera, and first person mode (which I don’t remember if that one even true or not going to look that one up again.)
To now more textures to use, someone for some reason found hidden cheats in gt 4 which leads to believe there might be more hidden cheats in the game as well as others, randomizer, and finally this mod. Got to say i am impressed this modding scene happening and at sametime so damn surprised to found out people are modding ps2 games and gamecube game.

Being a Xbox and Forza guy I've never been able to try any GT apart from GTS briefly (which I did quite enjoy). I hope I can set up an emulator and play this mod on my PC so I can finally experience the peak of Gran Autismo

I don't know what is possible, but a better career mode would be good. Maybe with qualifiications, adjustable lap count, real championships you have to complete once you entered them. I don't like how they used that driver level system and spammed you with prize cars.
I also would like to see some basic race modifications at the opponents cars like race liveries and anti roll bars in races.
i really wish i could run this game but i still enjoy watching these vids

Making new cars could be so hard since it not only involves puting new models into the game, but making models that fit the low poly cars already in game, unless they decide to replace car models with GT7 car models wich doubt the engine will be happy about, i wonder if they could add Bikes from TT tho

I'd say there's plenty more amount of races they could make. After 54 hours of the randomiser mod I noticed groups of cars and tracks that don't get used as much. At the very least, an endurace race of every track with a pit lane would be a good start. Perhaps half length in road cars and full length in race cars.
It's crazy how this is still a PlayStation 2 game. Without any context you couldve told me this was a PS3 emulation and I'd be none the wiser. Emulation, ironically, is the future of gaming.
Beyond games like Gran Turismo, in my side of UA-cam, people are discovering the world of modding Red Dead Redemption which was console only, and limited graphically and in performance hugely. Emulation and modders alike have breathed so much life into this game, that people are enjoying it than it's triple A successor.
Likewise I'm seeing with your videos how much hours i can enjoy in GT4, with no micro-transactions or nonsense, enjoying everything with all QoL improvements through emulation and mods, bringing the game into a 2023 experience.
Thanks for all your work in showcasing these Rowdy, and hats off to the amazing developers and modders that brought this all.
I love emulation but I fear too many games are going always online for it to be the future of gaming. Too many games just won't work without a server connection which IMO doesn't bode well for emulating them 10-20 years from now like GT4.
Im going to be straight honest, how cool would it be to see previously sold cars having a small chance to show back up in the used car dealer in any random week.
In general I want a completely revamped used car cycle. Several used cars only show up once per color per cycle which makes some cars almost impossible to find. Would also be cool if the randomizer would randomize the used car cycles.
the part of second layer i understand because the online beta version has 1.8gb while the normal version has 4.0gb

I'd love to see tracks being modified in the future to optimise them for emulation. I'm on Steamdeck and the city tracks use wayyyy too many reflections that are poorly optimised by PCSX2 - Somehow disabling them and other effects could be a great step to making the game seamless on Steamdeck.
For now what I’d recommend is turning down the resolution a little bit. I found with some games if you run the resolution too high, some high demand areas will lag like heck, but it’ll get fixed if you turn down the resolution. Don’t get wrong, high res GT4 is beautiful, but maybe sacrifice some fidelity for framerate
@@wieldylattice3015 True. But the special stage circuits and paris tracks are notoriously hard to emulate too. I'll have to try again sometime and see what progress has been made :)
The Valencia track was actually in the Gran Turismo psp edition and it was the only time that it shows

Interesting new event types for cars unused I assume over time the mode they come up with. Concepts and otherwise of course and to fit the core of the game yes.

More Driving missions cool. Had no idea about cut ones. More coffee breaks would be cool weather the GT4 Prologue ones or new ones. I always liked the Prologue ones better than the final retail game.
New mKez more sense but importing if possible the assets and layouts to work in GT4 besides the GT4 Prologue differences of course I get that.
Camera changes maybe if other mods do it makes sense why.
If courses unfinished would be nice but doubt it. I have wanted Complex String with races on it for years. Even Special Stage Route 5 Toyota Pod/GT Concept race track layout for many cars would be nice too as a beginner course with Complex String for race cars. It makes it the most challenging like Nurburgring but with more unique corners even if a license test course no other track fictional or real does what it does, you get maybe close on Tahiti Maze corners or maybe on the Forza Motorsport 2 test track in some areas but not the same why wouldn't I think it's a cool idea it's a good track it's just making AI for it is maybe a challenge I assume besides the track is always left alone but in the files always so importing/fixing it up is yes a challenge in itself I know. Sigh it's a wish not something I expect to happen of course. That and the lighting on GT4 would be interesting for the track besides GT3's. Autumn Ring in GT Concept looked great with GT3 artstyle and lighting so does GT4.
What about drag lane events? GT2 never even got drag racing it was cut. You'd get drag in R Racing Evolution or Forza Motorsport 3 or 4 I forget among other games and GT4's drag strip is there but only for speed tests so for a what 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile however much is modelled already sounds good enough to test custom drag events for players to go against them just a speed test. I don't expect drag events giving money/prizes just a drag race generator I guess. Like you get the race generators on other driving park or track selection and cost 5 credits.
Valencia is nice but yeah the AI/pits makes sense. Doubt Cathedral Rocks 3 from PSP the assets may be too low quality to bring up to PS2 level or the track is so simple why bother or the engine's are different so utilising it maybe isn't likely or something people likely care for. Just an idea as a track not really focused on but here for a special event or rally beginners like Motegi West or Beginners Course are good for early game events is what I'm thinking of context for. I mean Ice Arena kind of is a short/beginner snow course in a way even if challenging on higher difficulty.
Ah audio differences will be exciting then the rough sounds prior of the game.
Not bad so far. This is what a 25th anniversary of Gran Turismo is like not cough bad design decisions of the series ever. Cough FM6 having the same bad decisions for 10 years. Funny how the anniversaries offer linear garbage decision experiences with dramatic change how is that worth celebrating hmmmm. Idiot developers celebrate and waste our time and fans always know what fans what and understand the game design or elements between entries and it shows. Excellent ideas and implementation. I wish the team the best.
Car model design yeah too much effort. Not expecting that never will I don't have car wants at all just quality of life.
Game limits to be over 6 yeah. It's fine. Console and disk size for that is fair. But yeah single when it's the game plus online and new menus is interesting for that (or were new menus in manufacturers part of the mods? I never know for sure?)
4 cars would be interesting like Tourist Trophy though. So less per event like rally but an in-between and of course opponents for challenge to reflect less. Could be impossible but would be interesting to see them more due to limits and I don't like more. 8 to me was always good enough in other games not 10+ where it's too many to avoid, pass through, catch up to it's just boring and frustrating to me and especially when they were running starts not standing either.
Thinking of standing starts more of them if possible as they were a mix between tracks normal or reverse or regardless always those tracks I think a selection for player preferences would be nice.
Yeah knew it was the Online NTSC Beta build. Yeah more content or fixes or otherwise for the emulator/real console so.

We won't see GT3 feeling handling that's for sure. GT4 is what it is, people like the realistic side of things and Sim fans are what they are. I don't know an arcade feel is nice sometimes in games. I have gotten used to GT4 physics over time so much more than the garbage tires in GT5&6 I hTe so much why do they become so weak even sports tires it's dumb the 10 pressure or whatever limit of them they suck and ruin the game so clearly older entries work better and Sport didn't have it I think or didn't notice or struggle as much. Clearly many GT3/Concept cars are in GT4 not all but some. Toyota Pod would be interesting as it's only in that game. But I think an event for it whether behaviour ideas, whether a driving mission.

@@RowdyGT They won't be gone completely, I'll be changing some of the medium/hard ones to be reverse and possibly sprinkling them through other events. I don't want any tracks to be completely unused, I just want to trim the fat from special conditions a bit to make room for variety.
Wild to me that, we have what might've been an absolutely amazing successor in GT7, yet the active modding community and playerbase still shows how preferable GT4 is. A true timeless classic.
The mods I propose are:
>Full setup for arcade "rented" car, this would make a more Forza 1/4-like arcade experience
>Possibility to disable electronic aids in driving missions and licences
>Hood view addon... come on, the cockpit view is generally crap
>I don't remember if Catheram can race against 6 cars. But, another technological obstacle overtakable by playing on computer could be the low-res rims, even if it never disturbed me

@@RowdyGT i was REALLY worried after you said "intended for PCSX2" in the video that it wouldn't be compatible with OG hardware. this makes me feel a LOT better lol, thanks. it'll be nice to have so many "extended edition" mod options when the two big current WIP mods eventually release. we'll have GT2+, GT3: Concept, GT4 Spec II, GT5 Master, AND GT6 Spec II to choose from. i fucking love the GT modding community.

Just a HUGE quality of life improvement that needs to be implemented, and to me was the only fault in the original GT4: LET US CHOOSE THE PRIZE CAR COLOR, PLEASE!
AND IMPROVE BUYING USED/OLDER CAR MODELS! I don't know if it's possible, but a used car dealership based on brands would also be nice. It sucks to have to wait for day 300 for some older car model that you want to get. I get that some implementations can make the game "cheap" and lose the value of acquiring such things, but that aspect of GT4 was just beating around the bush, you should be able to get older models easier than the original thing.
Other than that, this is awesome! I couldn't even imagine half of the stuff the mod is implementing, it's adding perfection to perfection itself!
Have you found a way to race at night? Say, racing at Le Mans or Nordschleife in the night or that implies adding another track which at time, it's impossible to do at the moment?
I wonder if it's possible to port tracks from 3, which is probably impossible or near-impossible. But if it's possible i would like to see complex string or just most of the GT3 circuits that never got included. OH ALSO, Is it possible to add a drag race feature?? The Las Vegas strip could be available and drag cars could be added (maybe)
I'm not trying to speak on behalf of the mod team but this seems like a largely QoL/user experience focus rather than completionism for car/track combinations- if you're passionate about specific tracks, you may just want to get into the modding communities of hardcore driving sims like Assetto Corsa.
