Thank you for producing this tutorial. I've been making furniture for 30+ years, but have not done veneering yet. Watching you go through these steps, along with your website article, has been very helpful! Nice work by the way!
Just found your site. What incredibly beautiful work with no distracting music or narration. Wonderful. Learned a lot as I'm wanting to specialize in gun cases. (And my fave dog was a hound from Paris, KY)
I was wondering where you'd gone! Welcome back. That is a stunning box! I have some curly Etimoe and didn't know what is was until now, thanks! Also I didn't know that Klingspor made paper for Festool sanders so thanks for that too!
Hey folks, I've been away for a while but I think that will change this year. I hope to release a video once a month and take advantage of shorts to keep you at least updated between videos. If you don't already, follow me on Instagram instagram.com/simplecove because I post over there quite often as well. Thanks for watching the video and I hope you enjoyed it! I just discovered your videos on UA-cam. I like your builds videos, and teaching style. You wouldn't happen to be in Tennessee, would you? It seems I've seen you somewhere.
It was soooo great to see a new SimpleCove video! But when did you start doing AMSR style videos (no sound). Please don't do that! Or, if you must, then maybe upload one version like that and one with a voiceover track. Leave this sort of thing to the genre of restoration videos (I wish they'd stop it, too!). I want to know WHY you do what you do. Pictures alone can't do that. That out of the way, thanks for taking the time to put this together for us. We missed you.
Videos take a long time to make and adding narration to it adds quite a bit of time to the already 10 plus hours it takes to make the video. I didn't do it for a certain style so if i do add narration in the future I won't be uploading two types of videos. I'm sure i will bring narration back in future videos but i'm starting out slow.

Beautiful work as always.
Thanks Dustin!
Great demonstration of veneering techniques! Thanks for sharing! It is quite useful for new to veneering like me.
Very nice. Love the box. Etimoe is one of my favorite veneers. Doesn't get the attention it deserves.
Very nice 👍
Good to see you back.
Glad to finally be back out in the shop!

Your very welcome Sean! Have a wonderful week!😎
very nice, hoping to make a couple soon.
Beautiful, Sean! I'll bet it was scary cutting the top off. The moment of truth! Great job. Happy new year. Hope 2022 is a great one for you.
Thank you, Jay! Yeah it's always a moment that makes me measure 10 times and cut once haha.
Very well done
Very nice. Can you say what you used to seal and finished this? Many thanks.

Nah, not TN. Central KY
@@Simplecove Right on, Thanks. My dad us from a small town in central KY, not too many people have heard of, called Cadiz. Beautiful area!
A master piece !!
Appreciate the kind words! Thanks for watching
Stunning
Thank you
I wouldn't even mind if I didn't need a box. I'd still want it!
I have the same vacuum setup.
Very nice.
Great video, thanks a lot
Glad you liked it!
Beautiful box! Do you have the 3hp sawstop?
Thanks! Yeah it's the 3hp
Awesome box. How long does the veneer have to stay in the bag?
About an hour with this glue. Then I let it sit for a few hours outside of the bag to continue to dry.
Is that a Harvey bandsaw?
No it's a Hammer bandsaw made by Felder.
I miss the narration…. But always worth watching.
I will probably bring the narration back eventually. It's just a lot of extra work but i'm sure it will be back.
