Of note, increasing wheel width, even beyond nominal specifications, can increase max lateral grip. Additionally, a larger total Treat Surface Area can help manage tire heat in powerful, heavy vehicles.
just remember throwing overpriced parts on your car doesnt make you fast on the racetrack. When i see this car i can tell that the owner / builder / tuner has no idea what they are doing.
The owner is doing this for a multitude of personal reasons that might not align with everyone else's. All we can do in life is respect each everyone's individuality and differences.
You must be fun at car meets. You have no idea what *else* the owner has done nor the reasons behind *why* he's doing them. Just let people enjoy making their car their own.
That’s nuts and I like it. Super crazy build.
Would love more info on that brake caliper conversion
Smiley face indeed for the win! Tbh, that's probably the best mod on the car 😂
really like to see how the build turns out.
I got some 305/30r20 on a 20x10.5 and been dealing with similar poke. Guess I have to send it with the full carbon haha!
If that’s a dad budget, I must be in a 3rd world country budget 😅
IKR but to his argument he's done all the work on his own until we got our hands on it just now. I gotta respect that.
@ but all this carbon fiber stuff and MPP gear ain’t cheap either. But yes respect to those who wrench and have fun with this stuff!
He lives in California. Only the ultra wealthy live out there
Any suspension work immediately takes it off dad budget. Can run up a 5k bill in about 10 minutes. Tesla tax 100%
Help me understand. Why 20x12s instead of 19x11s. You can fit 305s on 11s. Never seen such a crazy track build with 20 inch wheels lol
He has a very specific brake system he wants that won't clear in 19's.

@ZEVcentric Please share with me what model wing you got for the Tesla
He said it in the video. It’s a 9lives racing wing. It’s a wing designed for track use, not a show wing.
Are the wheels custom offset? They look super concave
They are 20x12+22 built for a handful of supercar rear fitments. I doubt they expected to ever see these on the front of a Model 3 :P .
That looks ridiculous. I don’t think that Tesla cares by the look on its face. 😂
Sorry, not feelin’ it.
Show off car, not track build
How so? (Seems like bags and a body kit would have been a lot less expensive)).

🤷♂️Looks pretty badass to me…Looking forward to the build!

I love carbon fiber and can’t wait to see how much weight he eventually gets rid of (too bad it’s so expensive!)
@@suzakukururugi6613 yup exactly. I'm already telling him to come back so we can weight it.
