      The benefit of this system is your ability to change the ride height should your desires or needs change over time. For that reason I'd say long term this is the superior product when it comes to that specific functionality.

Here's a video showing what to do if it's on the ground but you'll only be able to inspect 2 of the 4 bushings. You would be the first in well over thousands of model 3's we have done here in Fremont in the past few years that doesn't show cracked bushings at 105,000km. off topic, but if anyone was interested Model Y P rear wheels fit perfectly on the front of the model Y performance, even slammed theres no rubbing, 295's also fit on the 10.5" but 3mm spacer is needed, 275/295 combo on the Y takes a 15% hit to the efficiency though

    Great video. I have a question though. You mention that the upgrades will make the vehicle feel like a “BMW or Porsche.” I recently sold my Taycan and the biggest thing I miss is the responsiveness from the driving. I feel like the M3P is very sloppy with sudden inputs. Will these upgrades tighten up steering responsiveness? Also, does having lowering springs cause any issues with the upgrades? Thank you again for the video.

      I did the front lower control arm bearing from mpp and the compression rod bearing from unplugged performance and it's totally transformed the car from the floating feeling it used to have to almost a go kart kind of steering but in a good way

    I wonder what the spring rate difference vs stock is? Also, I notice/feel/think that on the stock car, it feels to me like the stock springs are overdamped on sport and underdamped in standard mode. I wonder if the stiffer spring would mean sport feels a bit better matched but standard work be totally whacked? I don't really use standard much so probably ok, but in that case isn't it just better off ditching the adaptive dampers if you want the best ride quality at the higher spring rate required for a lowered stance?

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric 6 днів тому

      Yes you can improve ride and handling by ditching the oem active damping system but that comes at a pretty high cost and Tesla will complain about what you've done. I don't know the spring rates but I do know that MPP designed the rates based off of dyno data they have taken on the actives as well as those who decide to go with a squared wheel and tire setup. Once we get our second 24P back from Tesla Service next week we will be installing the kit so we can get more long term testing done on it.

      I still have a Silvia, FC3S, FRS, Scion xA boosted, E34 Msport and maybe some more I can't think of. We haven't worked on them in 4-5 years. We're so busy working on Tesla suspension now. We might help out a legacy client or a friend here and there but for the most part we only work on Teslas. We still have all our distributor accounts for parts if you needed something for a non tesla though. That part of the business still exists. Can't give everything up after being open for 26 years. Labor services though are very streamlined towards Tesla stuff now.

      If you are referring to the Brake Master Cylinder Brace, it's 100% legit. It stop the deflection from the fire wall and makes your brake pedal feel true. So will this kit preserve the full range of motion in the active dampeners?

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric 13 днів тому

      if you lower the vehicle it will lose some compression stroke but this does not affect droop. That's how suspension should be designed. If you retain the full stroke of a damper when you lower the vehicle it means you will have other problems with the car like the chassis hitting the ground or tire hitting up inside the fender etc.. before you engage the bumpstops

    I installed Tein Endura Pro on Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD. The first few weeks I was blissful about how smoothly my Tesla started to ride. But after 2 weeks the stiffness returned, they also feel like factory shock absorbers. There are also small impacts on road joints. I visually inspected the shock absorbers and did not find any signs of leakage. What could this be connected with? The mileage on the Tesla is 45 thousand miles.

    Zev, will adding shims also adjust front tire camber on MY FUCA supports? Replacing FUCAs with adjustable ones is too expensive for us after replacing rear camber arms and replacing suspension to smooth out rough ride.

    • @zevcentric
