The burning of fossil fuels is CLOSING SCHOOLS around the world for days, sometimes weeks at a time, and threatening to undermine one of the greatest global gains of recent decades: children’s education. Children today are living through many more abnormally hot days in their lifetimes than their grandparents, according to data released Wednesday by Unicef, the United Nations Children’s Fund. Pakistan closed schools for OVER half its students, that’s 27 million children, for a full week in May, when temperatures were projected to soar to OVER 40 degrees Celsius. Bangladesh shuttered schools OVER half its students during an April heat wave, affecting 34 million children. So too South Sudan in April. The Philippines ordered school closures for three days, when heat reached what the country’s meteorological department called “danger” levels. In the United States, heat days prompted school closures or early dismissal in districts from Massachusetts to Colorado during the last school year. They represent a significant share of total school days, and one recent estimate suggests that the numbers are INCREASING QUICKLE, from about four days a year a few years ago to OVER double that number now, with MANY MORE expected BEFORE midcentury. Heat waves, MADE MUCH WORSE by the accumulation of MAN-MADE planet-heating gases in the atmosphere, are making it harder to learn. Even if schools are open, extremely high temperatures, especially over several hours, AFFECT LEARNING OUTCOMES, INCLUDING TEST SCORES, research shows.

It can charge(V2V) another EV with 60KW output
The car's battery/charging system is only about 60% of the equation. What about the charger? Who has the electrical service to charge this car at its full rate? What do the charger and electrical service upgrades cost? $25000?
does ig get free over the air up dates frequently. Does it have autonomous driving potential? thats ehat i thought im sticking with TESLA
A car is a tool for transportation, all this tech just adds to price of tool but it still remains just a transport tool. People have forgotten this.
People have dreams and desires. Whatever tickles their fantasy is fine with me.
@TyPhoon-rl4xd tools and equipment used to last decades, it wasn't uncommon to use 3 generation old stuff. If people want to own garbage and never own homes it's fine with me too, just obviously unwise.
Wonder if you are ever interested in making videos on Non car stuff like the new Chinese electric cargo drone that can carry 2 tons.
VinFast from Vietnam making big time noise no idea why.
Let see how this car ages after 1year to see all the tech faults, and why manufacturers are so obsessed with high tech and speed in ev's its not necessary it only pushes the price up.
I would wait on buying any new EV atm, looking at the speed that tesla's FSD is advancing, once this is fully released any car without it will quickly become a dinosaur, LIDAR is the kodak camera of EV's
If these are really rivals for Tesla, suppose we need to look at some crash results. Don't want to compare these cars just by how long they take to charge.
They pass all crash tests and even beat some high priced Western vehicles.
Sounds better than the Tesla
Zeekre 001 havent you driven one ? China haters will say otherwise.. I want the Zeekre 001 FR
So there's 5 zeekers charging at the same time with my zeeker... do i still get 10 mins to full charge?
Misleading at best
Who said that they will all need a full charge at the same time at the maximum rate.
@@TyPhoon-rl4xd does it matter? If your car wants to charge 90% and everyone wants to charge 60% you're all charging at the same time... you think you'll get 90 in 10 mins? Think again.
I believe it's possible to charge other EVS fast as well it's just not good for the battery, this could be true for this vehicle. Just because it can charge fast doesn't mean it's good for it. I could be wrong??
Hi Sam do we have any fast charging infrastructure in Australia to take advantage to recharge at the speed of the new battery technology?
Chicken is here, eggs will come soon
No.
How is the electrical infrastructure going to support the amount of power needed to charge these batteries in 10 minutes?
Unfortunately for most countries except for China the infrastructure required to support these fast charging rates is rare and maybe nonexistent depending on country. Blame your government for the lack of infrastructure to support such EVs.
Faster than the BYD Sea Lion 07?
i'm always for improvements in EV tech and am definitely excited as to how this will further accelerate competition in EVs and how Tesla will respond. my #1 issue with state of the art vehicles like these though is the sustainability. When Lucid first came out, it made Tesla vehicles look downright ancient in comparison. but the reality now is that Lucid vehicles are PLAGUED with never ending technical issues. while tesla vehicles have their own share of problems, they are way more reliable than any other EV in the market. In China, Tesla is one of the most popular in terms of reliability. i have no doubt that Zeekr 007 has superior tech inside, but i wouldn't buy it, at least this time. maybe in about a year after they fix all the kinks that it will definitely have.
Release price rumoured to be $76,000nzd so yet again the dealer screw a potential game changer with greed
Let’s hope they are listed on temu
Wrong!
Majority of these new vehicles nave to be rebuilt as the frontal collision systems fail western standards. This is why they are more expensive, they are Not the same vehicles being sold in China.
@@fabmanly1070 do you have some information on this? I now have 2 Chinese built vehicles and from what I can make out they are 100% the same as is sold in China.
@@ThePhilcam He's (@fabmanly107) put pulling that out of his butt.
nyt did an article on chinas battery technology.. they have thousands of engineering grads every year just on battery tech
Sam now you just need a home charger that can do the quick charging.
Ain't possible for the high charging rates.
I hate to bring this up but it would be totally cool if you apologised for Australias break dance performance. What do you think?
😂
If I put Tesla emblems on it can I sneak it into the states?
Just saw one on streets of Dnipro Ukraine. I’m not fan of design in any case we need much more EVs
They didn't just reduce their warranty to like 12 months did they ?....pushing things to the limit will wear quicker...
makes choosing an EV *EVEN* harder. Old Tesla 2019 model 3 33K, Zeekr 007 38k & almost has FSD. What do you choose??
The Zeekr as you get a lot more for your money.
