It's actually quite hard, you have to move your whole body but not overexaggerate, I recommend trying to do it too dramatically first and then adding control

Agreed!! The way he did/do any dance performance.. his moves are very subtle yet graceful. His sense of control on his body is really commendable. Whenever i watch any performance of Taemin what i noticed always that his dance moves are so graceful yet impactful at the same time and one remains just speechless after watching.. that's his power aka talent that nobody can beat.

tbh i tried dancing to move (pls don’t ask me about it, id rather not recall the embarrassment) and i reckon i dislocated a shoulder, broke both of my kneecaps, pulled a tendon, snapped a ligament, and snapped my neck at the same time.

Hi. I've been dancing for 7 years. And this is one of the HARDEST kpop dances there is. This is all about control and you need a really strong core muscle to be able to pull this off. All the expression comes from the eyes and that's where the sex appeal comes from in this dance. It's really difficult to express yourself in a minimal dance like this. Mad respect to ANYONE who can pull this dance off.

Taemin is what you call an incredible guy.
I love how he’s doing with a full female back up crew… the feminine energy that embodies the fluidity in the dance, with taemin himself that make this entire choreography HIS… fluidity being the key: this feels almost like a no gender dance unlike most kpop where there’s a distinct difference between male & female group / solo dances…
You are correct about "no gender" -- that was a specific choice by Taemin, who wanted to (and still does) push boundaries of the definition of dance and artistry in K-Pop. If you aren't familiar with Taemin, there is A LOT to explore. Criminal, Famous, Want, Idea, and Advice are just a few with all-girl or mixed gender backup dancers. Enjoy!

I was thinking that it was smart 2 have taman dancing in front of female background dancers because in general men are faster and stronger than women. That's why it's dangerous to put a woman dancer with Male backup dancers because sometimes they are overshadowed because they're not as fast.
Your point is point is better though because in this case the sexuality of the dance is more significant than just speed or power.

as someone who dances basically their whole life long Taemin is the most outstanding dancer to me. After watching hundreds of performances, not only from Kpop idols but also competitions, you just notice every little movement, from the feet up to the fingertips and the head. You just see that he doesn't simply redo the choreography, this man feels every movement in this performance. He absolutely knows what he does with his body and I could never stop from watching his performances and MVs, I could never get over how impressive it is to watch him dance. Legend 😔✋

It was enough for me to see Taemin by accident for literally 30 seconds and he made me his fan for life. I’ve never seen any artist as perfect and mesmerizing as him, surely not in Kpop. I’m forever glad I found him, he is a gem!!!

요즘 유독 내가 태민 무브 영상이나 리액션 영상들을 보면서 느끼는 건데
다른 아이돌 퍼포먼스 영상들과는 좀 결이 다르게 태민 무브 안무나 영상을 보는 사람들 리액션을 보면 엄청 열광하는 게 아니라 감상하는 느낌임
그리고 안무가 섬세한 동작이 많긴 한데 정작 여자 댄서나 여자 아이돌이 추면 절대 이 느낌이 나질 않음
여자에게 느껴지는 섬세함과는 좀 다르고 암것도 모르는 내가 봐도 상당히 감각적임
뭐 아이돌이나 주류 음악을 기민하게 즐길 만큼의 나이는 아니지만 개인적으론 이 퍼포먼스는 케이팝 역대 퍼포먼스로 손에 꼽힐 것 같음
In my opinion this is still the best, most unique and most impactful choreography that any male artist in Kpop has ever done. Years are passing by and I didn’t see anything that shook me to my core and changed my perspective like Move did. In other words this man is a legend and this song is iconic.

Jessica Dang I’ve seen them dance together many times (Move MVs, Sayonara Hitori dance practice and Hit The Stage), Koharu is amazing and a very expressive dancer, but she never stole the show for me, not even once. I love watching them both, but still my gaze is fixed on Taemin most of the time :)

The amount of control you need to dance like Taemin is one thing, but his confidence is a whole other beast. Your body could be like water, but if you're facial expressions aren't there then you're still gonna look stupid. Idk how else to describe it but he has so much intent with every move. Even that walk in the beginning like he knows exactly what his face is gonna do for each step.

But since I watch Superm, I really admire Taemin's dancing skills and talent. Now I believe that he's the best dancer in Kpop Industry. I think my bias list got wrecked by him.

The thing I'm amazed by this video is that how much better Taemin danced than his dancers. Those are professionals and yet there're clear levels of differences between them. All the little details Taemin just did way better
I LOVE it when male kpop singers have female backup dancers like this (or vice versa). It always just looks so confidant and sexy. Like, you are confidant enough in your own body and moves to pull off the same sexy moves as the ladies behind you, hot damn! And the women are just as strong and imposing as the man, so they exude this powerful aura as well. I feel like it just presents a really strong unified sexy front where everyone looks equally dangerous and enticing.

After seeing Ten's Hit The Stage, my first thought was he's close to Taemin. But after the live performances of SuperM, i could say Ten is such an amazing dancer too but Taemin is just really on another level 🔥 im still glad tho they were given a chance to be on a same group
i rarely appreciate this types of comments. But when it comes to Taemin, this is aboslutely true. No one does it like him. The musicality in this man is on another level, no one else can move like that, he's so sensual in the most special way. There are a lot of amazing dancers in the industry, but none of them comes close to taemin. You're absolutely right.
